I'm certainly not against Obs making a Shadowrun game, but I'm with Hurlshot, I'd rather Harebrained Schemes made another one. I can't imagine anyone nailing the tone and feel any better than they did.

I agree but I don't think Hairbrained is going to be making a Shadowrun game any time soon.

Good postmortem video. I watched it all and it brings really good points.

I dunno about 'postmortem' but it does hit a lot of the main points that could be seen as negative, that aren't simply about bugs/glitches.

Especially the open-world immersion/interaction and the "illusion of choice" - which should be noted is not the same as whether one thinks the story is good or well written etc. vs. not. If one was hoping for more choices matter tho, it's definitely lacking that.

One of the (not very important) things I noticed was a thing re: street npc's and PhotoMode.  I would see a scene, hit photo mode, and began noticing that npc's and cars in the scene would either change (car to a van, say) or completely disappear while in PhotoMode and either they would then show up again when coming out of PhotoMode or they would stay gone/changed.  It's the first photomode in a game where I've seen that happen and it's very weird - making photomode feel more like a separate environment vs. a "game pause" type of thing.

Looks like Sony is definitely leaving the Japanese market, which made them what are they today, behind. Japanese business analyst are giving some reasoning behind, why Japanese players are losing interest in Sony.

For me, this means, that I am losing interest in Playstation brand as well. Just for the lols, I have counted all of my PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 games, which I bought since PS1 era, and I have counted 106 games, out of which are 16 non-japanese made *shrugs* No more reason to pay them another 700Eur for new console and accessories then. My primary platform for western games was always PC. I’ll probably buy som nice exotic trip after the covid madness ends for that saved money. Feeling pretty sad about it, but seeing that lot of japanese games can be bought now even on GOG, I might not miss out much from this decision...

Hmm, I completely forgot about PSP, I think that’s 6 more Japanese games and 0 western games in my collection 😛

Bethesda announced an Indiana Jones game, made by Wolfenstein folks:

Will all the glorious nazi killin'.... That's sounds actually really dope. I just hope it will be as fun as the source material, and not some grumpy dark ala-sad-Tomb Raider remake.

Hmm, that does sound promising. Hopefully there is like 95% less killing than the Wolfenstein games. I love the setting and the areas in those games, but I get quickly tired of the constant killing.

Eh, I'll always favour that Fate of Atlantis over a Wolfenstein style...

It would be more fun if it were made by Bethesda directly. Indiana Scrolls maybe, or Elder Jones: Kingdom of even more Crystal Skulls. Oh, the possibilities...

I'm honestly getting pretty burned out on open world in general. Maybe it's not so much open world but instead how every AAA game has to check every single check box: Open world, RPG, action adventure, looter, survival, narrative, exploration with crafting, building, collecting, and multi-player.
