I think a cool miniboss could be a fly (which would respawn every 7- ish days.) Imagine if an old soda cup was lying on its side on the stone wall across the pond. The cup would have a straw out of it, which you could climb in up to get into the cup. Inside the cup, there would be some old soda and several ice cube platforms. One fly would be in there, which you would have to fight. The fly would be quite big, and would constantly be buzzing around the arena, making it a hard and challenging fight. It would charge at you, so you would have to jump from ice cube to ice cube to avoid the fly's attacks. If you did kill it, you could get a few useful items. One item would be a fly eyeball, which you could use for two items. One would be binoculars, which would be made from a fly eye, a clover leaf, some sap, and woven fiber. Another one would be a telescope. It would be made out of some weed stems, some sap, some spider web, one or two clover leaves, and a fly eye. It could be set down like a stuffed bug and would be able to be looked out of. I think this would look really cool on observation towers!

I think something like this would be nice. I think instead of on the stone wall it would need to be in a cool ice box which could be its own mini biome. Here you could have some half rotten food with maggots and larvae infesting it, and you'd see fly eggs too that you could also use for bratburst. Of course a spider or two here since this is a feasting ground for them. Maybe the location of the ice box could be near the hedge to explain the abundance of spiders there.

You'd enter the ice box through a tiny crack at the bottom and have to traverse through the ice and water at the bottom and slowly climb your way up to the straw. There could be plastic in there that could be harvested to make a T3 plastic blade, causing enemies to bleed, slightly faster and less damage than the poison effect but stacks up the more you slash.

T2 fly armor set could also be useful. Each of the 3 pieces could give you the Airborne Acceleration buff that allows you to move faster when jumping and have defense slightly worse than spider armor. All 3 pieces give you the Glider ability, allowing you to slowly descend from high places like a dandelion tuft but can control your direction better, of course giving you all movement bonuses too.

this could be possible, if they used the right type of fly.  Just saying fly i'm sure we all think of house flies right off, and they're not aggressive, they have no offensive capabilities, they're scavengers and prey for other insects.

This could be a dagger fly, much different from a house fly.  Dagger flies get the name from their dagger like mouth parts, that could add to their attack.

Yup a dagger fly could be awesome. House flies could also be a thing in the area too and if we get to explore the house too. Maybe regular house flies could go around sucking up dew and juice drops giving the player extra considerations when making dew collectors - now they have to be defended from the fly :)

that could be fun,  and we'd have uses for fly parts also,  like the fuzz, and the wings could be gliders, the multifaceted eyes would make a cool kaleidoscope type mask
