Who's your second choice?

And you can change the order in your next playthrough. Final missions have some variance based on when you do them.

Religious nutjobs. Why would psionics use a bomb when they can control minds?

Awesome. Keep us updated. No spoilers, but at release there were a lot of complaints on the forum that Sacred Coil were too hard and impossible to beat when selected as second investigation :)

(I did beat them on Impossible, but hey, I am just a random person on the internet so obviously lying ;) )

Puss! Psychedelic and absurd, shockingly good "don't touch the walls" + sometimes Undertale-esque bullet hell puzzle game. Has a lot going on from level to level that makes it a creative, fairly challenging, and great (IMO) game. Thanks to @Oner for gifting it to me! Wasn't really sure what I was getting into when I requested it (and wasn't a hundred percent sure if the gameplay would be compelling enough), but it was a great decision.

How I have existed fills me with horror. For I have failed in everything - spelling, arithmetic, riding, tennis, golf; dancing, singing, acting; wife, mistress, whore, friend. Even cooking. And I do not excuse myself with the usual escape of 'not trying'. I tried with all my heart.

In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.

How ignorant has a dev team got to be to think loading missions in the background of a cinematic video is a good idea? Every time you load a mission in the Necromunda Story Mode you have to watch the corresponding cinematic because it functions as a load screen.

Like those damn Spellforce 3 load screens with voice over...

What will they think of next? Elevator rides instead of load screens?

Next in line was Velstadt. This time I've summoned Grave Keeper Agdayne, so it made the fight little bit easier. The biggest pain was again to get to the boss through the gauntlet 😛

About Chancellor Wellager. You might be right, I have not tried to purchase spells from him, but Bonfire Ascetics worked for the armor merchant in Majula (as the wiki says).

Mamie why arent you playing DK3 and how would you compare DS1-3 for someone who has never played any games from the franchise, I have DS1&2 on Steam but I have never played them before. I see their are several Mods on Nexus for these  games and that generally is always a good sign around real support amongst the fanbase  and sustainability for any game

I'd recommend to avoid DS1: Prepare to Die Edition (the port is terrible) and go for the remaster (stable FPS and good PC controls). It has one of the best boss and location designs I've seen in games.

DS2 felt easier, than DS1, but it might be because I was already familiar with the gameplay systems (combat, weapon upgrades, general area design, etc.). While there were several directions to choose from at the beginning, locations were reasonably easy to navigate (not counting the DLC). PvP and PvE were completely optional (as they were for the other games in the series).

DS3 was very friendly for new players - the hub already had a smith available, who explained mechanics. Though, the areas were more linear than in DS1.

If the choice is between DS1:PtDE and DS2 on PC, then I suggest DS2.

Play Sekiro first. It's easier to go from Sekiro to Dark Souls than vice versa. You might even hate your time in Sekiro that way. Or give up. :)

Assuming you even want to play Sekiro, but who wouldn't?

Was playing through Control. Got up to AWE before getting kind of tired of it and moving to Paradise Killer.

Control is good, it's my second playthrough, but I just get bored of the whole metroidvania backtracking just to pick up an extra bauble thing it does. Some fantastic setpieces in it that sort of tie the whole game together, though.

Paradise Killer feels like someone played Danganronpa 2 and decided to turn it up to 11 and really focus on the investigation. And I love it for that.

My leader is a Brawler. The pure melee class. She runs around and chops people. Her Virtue "Decisive" gives her a +16% to hit with Aimed Shots... her Talent is Ranged Specialist, which gives her a massive +0% Ranged Damage. I am waiting for her to develop a Vice that reduces her Melee Damage...

That's some Xcom level RNG.

I have played CK3 for some time but oh god they made mess with inheritance. I guess I have to wait for some patches or something but I really can't do that much micro management. Previously at least counties in your primary duchy would stay yours, but now your kids tear your whole realm apart like its no ones business. You can be most powerful man on Earth and in split second you play as one country Emperor. Like who thought its good idea to do it like this?!?!

I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

Starting off in Wasteland 2, will try making my character a sniper.  Got the game for free, so already got my money's worth by startiing it up.

I'm usually a fan of getting to know a system on your own but in WL2's case I really recommend reading up on how CLASSIC stats interact with each other and how initiative is calculated. The combat's kind of unforgiving so playing a suboptimal stat spread isn't impossible but potentially not a lot of fun.

I defeated Ratatoskr for the 4th time in La-Mulana 2. This was a very difficult fight until I managed to get him into a specific spot, at which point it was simply a matter of jumping over his breath attack and tossing an earth spear at him at the highest point of the jump. He killed me 4 times before I managed to figure out the best spot to get him stuck and how to get him there. To make matters worse, there isn't a teleport point close to that fight and it's a fairly treacherous trek just to get to him. There was a whole lot of reloading of the game where I failed to even reach Ratatoskr. I'm happy to have that battle over and done with, though I will have to go back to that room again at some point.

As long as you can just launch the mission when it's done loading it's not too bad, that is, assuming the cinematic doesn't slow down the loading excessively...

Which bring me to my question, how are the loading times? Mordheim's during early access were brutal and by now they're still not what I'd call "great"...

Loading times aren't bad. You don't notice them really during sandbox. You only notice them in Story Mode because you are rewatching those cinematics. Over and over again in case of mission #5...

I can't help but notice @Raithe was playing Conan Exiles. Yes...excellent. Join us as we build our kingdoms on the backs of our thralls.

I was curious and picked up the base game in the sales, I haven't actually sat down and started it properly yet...

Haven't really "played" Conan Exiles in a while, but I've been tinkering with my save-database-merge-tool.

You know, for those of us that suffer from start-over-itis but want to merge all our big building projects into one save... ;)

I *think* I worked around the last hurdle I had for personal use, so gotta test that and then create something of a UI so you don't have to be a programmer to make use of it :-

Borderlands 3 released the 4th DLC, which included another max clvl jump (5 more, to 65).  I started to farm xp to level up and then thought about how that would mean farming new guns etc.  It's likely they'll raise the cap yet again (even tho they claimed early on they weren't going to raise cap much, and I have a bridge to sell). So screw it.  I'm waiting until they make up their minds what the final cap will be. Might be 70, might be 80. Maybe by next Summer.

I think I've about had it with (looting) games that like to do level cap increases in frequent but tiny increments over many months as some kind of incentive.

Decay of Logos. I gave up on the Vallis Sanctum and its glass floors and went in another direction. After some platforming and a very light puzzle, it ended with a boss battle. The boss, Prince Ethos the Oppressor, took two attempts and I got his shield (since I didn't need it and couldn't sell it, I threw it into the Well of Holding).
Back at the main hub the wizard trainer decided that it was the time to teach me the most basic pyromancy, which allowed me to progress a bit further in the Vallis Sanctum by burning poisonous vines on one of the doors.
