The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder.

What? You thought it was a quote from some well known wise guy from the past?

Stupidity leads to willful ignorance - willful ignorance leads to hope - hope leads to sex - and that is how a new generation of fools is born!

More like you can't penetrate plate armor with bodkin heads, most of the knights where wounded and ransomed.

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

Most of the prisoners were massacred after Agincourt. Henry V taking notes from Richard I ("Lionheart")? Better make sure they stay dead.

Yeah, because of the high number of prisoners...but that's not necessarily true of nobles. I mean, aside from the loss of diplomatic relations who would pass on a noble's ransom?

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

... And someone hacked Elon Musk's Twitter account, made a post of "feeling grateful, send me $1000 and I'll send you $2000 back" and put a bitcoin link up.

.Already recieved $55,000 even as people scream that its hacked and not real.

Edit:

And it looks like a serious Twitter failure.

Jeff Bezoz, Michael Bloomberg, Binance, a bunch of other famous rich people and bitcoin related companies... All doing some version of that on their twitter feeds.

Saw that one on the BBC, Greed and stupidity just seems to go hand in hand 🙄

There should be a first law of the internet, nothing there is to be taken at face value and second law that says if an offer sounds too good to be true, you're getting ripped off big time.

^ I mean, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is has been a rule for as long as I remember, and almost certainly much longer than that. However, that is offset by there's a sucker born every minute.
