What Are You Playing Now: The New Beginning Thread

Recommended Posts

Figured out the trick to making my Brno team more succesful, realize the players are utter morons and treat them as such.  Mourinho-tier micromanagement seems to make us play a bit better, even though this ME is still wank when it comes to away games, you play so terribly as the game's trying to model home field advantage.

Finally got back into Factorio, still not entirely sure what I'm doing but it is nice to set up systems, glad conveyor belts don't need power

Yesterday evening I've finished my second playthrough on New Game+ in Dark Souls II on my PS3. This time, because I knew most of the traps and also the bossfights, it took me only 292 deaths 😛 . The biggest issue to finishing the game was to my surprise Aldia, Scholar of the First Sin. The randomness of the fight, me being tired and triggerhappy meant, I needed for him 13 attempts. Not even Ancient Dragon made me so much troubles this time 😢 .  More of my bossfight will be posted as soon as I upload them on YT :) All I am missing now are two trophies for Pyromancies and for Miracles. I think, to finish these trophies, I will go this time for very fast run into Drangleic Castle, where these spells are sold. Next game in line? Hmm I really do not know yet :(

I am still missing two trophies, and for that, I need to get to NG++ Chancellor Wellager 😛 And to be honest, now, that I better understand the game and have better build, I am enjoying the game much more, than the NG 😄

You could use 2 Bonfire Ascetics on the castle bonfire to get his NG++ stock (it would require defeating NG+ Throne Watcher and Defender, Nashandra and Aldia, though).

Edit. 1 Bonfire Ascetic, if the bosses are already dead and you are in NG+.

Completed Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of Underdark. It was great.

----

Started Decay of Logos. It somehow manages to be much more punishing than Dark Souls 2 with its health decrease (all stats are decreasing on death, weapon and armor durability does not restore on rest and I don't know where I can find a smith; chests and levers are impossible to interact with if there are enemies nearby). The first boss keeps one-shooting me.
But the game has customizable controls and well-optimized.
I am trying to find a way increase the PC's stats to "dies-from-5-hits-from-the-first-boss" by editing save files (unsuccessfully; additional information would be most welcome). If I try farming, the armor and the sword will break (anything requires 10+ hits to die; I require 2) and I'd prefer not to fight the first boss, the Alchemist, naked and unarmed.

Sad to hear, melkathi.  I'll keep reading.

So, since I was forced to edit the save in order to get my portrait right, I did something I never did the first run in Kingmaker.  I gave myself a little extra gold and bumped my stats.  Also, in the first run, I never used a mercenary, but now my honest to goodness not sucking at the job rogue is rocking the game.  Just brutal damage.  Can finally sneak up on a character without getting caught and backstabbing the way God and Gary Gygax intended!

Got to the point where I rescued Reg and Octavia.  I decided that I'd keep doing things differently and romance Octavia.  I find Valerie more attractive, but that's mostly because she's more damaged goods and that's the kind of guy I am.  lol  Still, Octavia I truly suspect Octavia is a lot less work to bed.  I mean, I hate RPG romances.  Talk about reducing a real relationship to the most pedestrian elements.  Meh.  Didn't beat 'em.  Might as well join 'em.

So, buying Cyberpunk 2077 on launch:

Part of me wants to explore a huge futuristic city and part of me doesn't know what to make of 'I had my first kiss in a synth cornfield'.

Seriously though, when I heard the guy say that in the latest trailer I just had to stop and laugh.

Playing Resi Remake on the PS4 and Need for Speed Most Wanted on the PS3 as well as a little bit of New Little King's Story on the PS Vita.

There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

Are you sure about that, because something like this is written on two wikis I frequent

  • Items and spells that he sells in NG++ must be in actual NG++. Using bonfire ascetics at the King's Gate bonfire will stimulate NG+ for all the enemies in the area but he will not sell the items and spells mentioned below until you have beaten at least 2 cycles of the game.
