Granted, it's a very short stealth section and reloading a save takes all of 2 seconds, but what the $&!# is this doing in Sherlock Holmes: Secret of the Silver Earring?

Sounds like it's a problem with you, wussy casual.

Minecraft.  I got into it when my niece was a wee child.  I didn't have time to play it for a long time, but I've recently come into a little time and I've been playing it a lot for the past few days.  I want to create a huge subcontinent theme park.  I've written *HUGE* glass and lava signs just for fun.

Also, I've got over 700 games of Freecell on my tablet.

Treated myself to Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and the latest Metro game.  Not sure which one I'll play first.

Well, as I said earlier, Jedi Fallen Order is very much an exploring platform Tomb Raider style game much more than a combat action type. So keep that in mind for what mood you're in to play...

The latest Tomb Raider games felt very much combat action-like to me.  I actually gave up on the latest one for a bit because I wanted to do more tomb exploring and less bad guy shooting.

Started to do quests in Defiance Bay and currently ended up in Catacombs 😛 I still have to decide which faction to join. Either Crucible Knights or Dozens. I so far prefer the Crucibles, but while doing some of the quests, I start to lean more towards the Dozens. I try to go for Rational, Benevolent and Diplomatic answers, and I still do not know, which of the factions suits for my character better (based solely on roleplay decisions) :(

Also 11 videos already uploaded to my YT channel if you curious 😛

I was meaning more in the classic sense of Tomb Raider, not the murder-hobo torture porn Tomb Raider. :)

I'm playing Rise of the Torture Porn Raider. So far I like it a little bit more than Torture Porn Raider. It still has all the same things I liked and hated of the first (reboot) game, but so far the ratio of tomb raiding to bloodthirsty murder spree is a little bit more to my liking (ideally, it would be 95% tomb raiding 5% murder, but I know that's a pipe dream), plus the focus on stealth makes combat a bit more palatable. I like all the optional tombs and the general climbing and jumping stuff and the run for your life while being shot at and stuff is exploding and the ground is crumbling beneath my feet action sequences are dope, but I hate forced combat sequences... boss fights, if you will.

I finally got all the charms and stuff in Hollow Knight. Later today I'll try to beat the radiance... honestly not looking forward to it.

A part of me wants to restart the game, but I don't want to burn myself out for Silksong. 😕

Last commentary on Death Stranding before I shelf the game for good:

Like the story, hated the bulk of the game (endless walking, stupid BT encounters), and seemed to have the most fun just building zip lines.

Friend got me Disco Elysium so I am playing that.  Lost the game when I failed to make a jump to a ledge, luckily taking my pants off gave me the necessary 4% chance to succeed.

Still mucking through Syberia 3, I want to exterminate the Youkols.  Puzzles are still not interesting, too much tedious searching for things through environments that are too large.

I keep wanting to pick up my Fallout 4 playthrough, But I always remember the settlements and how tedious I find that kinds of gameplay so I don't even launch the game. I just wanted to explore the wasteland again, not have to build things :(

Not sure why I find F4 better than F3, I guess because it doesn't shy away from what it's trying to be, an open world shoot 'em up that focuses more on mechanics and physics than half-assed RPG mechanics.  I always skipped the settlement building stuff because it simply doesn't interest me.

Bethesda: Bloated budgets and some fun if you're willing to overlook the bad dialogue and cheesy markety gimmicks.

However, I do have a feeling some of these so-called "HARDCORE RPG GAMARS" like Bethesda games more than they admit.

Well, looks like my choice of factions resolved by itself. I took a quest at the Dozens HQ, which made me join them, without me noticing it :( Anyway, I spent a lot of time in Brackenbury and solved few sidequests including Aloth's personal one. I still need to completely finish Sanitarium, but I have some stuff to do in Caed Nua first, because bandits are looting my money there :(

I haven't found the proper mod it seems. And I keep reading that the game world is empty without them?

Then you can use what I do, All-In-One Settlement Solution: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6304

It makes a craftable 'generator' (which only costs 1 steel, I think) that can be placed in a settlement to give 40 food, 40 water, 40 bed, 100 power, 100 defense, and increases settlement 'happiness'. Now, beds don't just pop into existence (though that would be cool), it just tells the game that the settlement has those resources so you almost never get alerts from the settlement about their 'needs'. You can craft as many as you want in a each settlement, assuming you have the resources to do so. The settlements still exist, you can still build them up manually if you want, but it lets you get around having to do so.

Appoint a leader for a settlement that takes care of the general buisiness, manage it if you want or leave it be. I usually just appoint a leader and leave it be, and it's nice to have some use of Preston. The only annoyance is that you can only appoint followers (In the base mod atleast, from what I remember - though there are more mods that fixes the mod), otherwise you plonk down a desk, appoint a leader and then watch a cutscene where the mod outlines the buildings then connect wire to the recruitment beacon. I think you might have to connect powerlines, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Also, the settlements evolve over time, so it gives them the appearance of growth too. It's a dang cool mod, I'm very impressed by it.

Edit2; Forgot to mention, there is a rather small downside to the mod, the mod needs to clean out the settlement in question of all placeables, so it will wipe your own efforts before it rebuilds a new settlement for you.

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. I'm thinking about getting into Gears of War. I mean, I remember the original was good fun, but I was never really an Xbox guy, so I avoided the franchise. But now I've got access to a few on the PC, and they are releasing an Xcom style version pretty soon, so maybe I'll try to bone up on the universe a bit. I grabbed a novel by Karen Traviss as well, and so far it's a pretty fun read.

The bad news it that Reboot 1 and Reboot 3 are clearly made by the same team, unfortunately. I like Reboot 2 quite a bit more as well (my "Shadow of the " playthrough just fizzled out, should probably get back to that eventually). If I can have Reboot 2 with the tombs of Reboot 3 we'd have an acceptable nu-Tomb Raider, imho.
