On the plus side, it'd be a great consideration once Nvidia's new flagship cards come out somewhere also around that time.  So perhaps they're inadvertently planning it to be the Launch Title for that sequence of events.

Whatever misgivings I have about the plot/setting/character building, perhaps it can breakthrough new grounds on hardware development and visuals.

Or maybe they delayed it for the launch of one of the next gen consoles, to be one of their launch titles?

Also, in eyes of an average European, orange color is pretty sure one of the colors, which has very high chance to lead the world into dystopian future 😉

Civilization, in fact, grows more and more maudlin and hysterical; especially under democracy it tends to degenerate into a mere combat of crazes; the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. - H.L. Mencken

Next consoles don't come out until after that.

And last I checked, Europeans were subordinate to Americans.

To be honest, I never had high hopes for Cyberpunk.

Think about it.

Cyberpunk was a concept developed in the 1980's when it looked like Japanese and other Asian markets would take over the West Coast, which is a completely irrelevant concept today, as Japan has been in an economic slump since the 1990's.

During the Obama years, when C77 was conceptualized, Cyberpunk seemed to be gaining steam with the releases of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Mankind Divided, and the success of Shadowrun on Kickstarter, due to Obama's friendly approach of outsourcing jobs to China to keep consumer goods in the U.S. flowing.

The Trump era sort of killed all of that because his orange tint is doing a great job at burning up the idea of a metropolitan dark dystopia that seemed to fit just a few years back, and his attempt at starting trade wars with China, completely reversing the process.

They're probably stumped now as to how they're gonna wrap the game up as it doesn't really seem appropriate for the times, and there's only so much filler you can produce.

This could be a huge blow to CDPJKR, as it's become apparent that with the success of Witcher 3 they've gotten in over their heads.

I still hope for a great game though, despite it all, and the lackluster leveling system they've offered.

I happen to live in a 'dark dystopian metropolitan' area. It's called Tehran 2077.

When I read this title was wondering if they expected people to be glad about this or something.

At any rate I half-expected _a_ delay for Cyberpunk 2077, but hadn't foreseen it to be into the Fall. I had thought that it would be at worst in late July, which being so close to E3 meant that CDPR would feel justified in having just a token presence at the show (announcing CP2077 for next-gen consoles with side-by-side shots plus a teaser for the multiplayer portion). It would appear that they will now be having presentations at both E3 and Gamescom.

There were also rumors of Ao no Kiseki and Zero no Kiseki remasters and their western release, do you have any info on that by any chance?

Falcom confirmed that Assure and Zero are being rereleased in Japan for the PS4. There's still no word about any kind of official English translation.
