I played this game all the way through and here's what I'll tell you about it. It's not a good game, in fact it made many worst game of the year lists. I did, however, enjoy it, though, I have a weird appreciation for some jank stuff. And let me tell you, this game is jank as ****. Also, it has some really cringe edgelord dialogue. I liked the ship combat, even if it's a bit rough.

So, why did I like it? Because it's refreshing to play a pirate game where you play an actual pirate. Generally speaking, when a game or movie has a pirate as the main protagonist, they make him or her have a heart of hold. They're rough on the outside, but they really are a good person deep inside. That's a load of horse****. Pirates are criminals. They steal, rape, and murder. Let me tell you, the character you play in this game is a piece of ****.  It's a revenge story and there's no redemption arc. You cut a bloody swath through the seas to get your vengeance and that's really all there is to it. I just found that really refreshing compared to all the romanticized pirate stuff we usually get.

Also, the women in this game pee standing up, which is hilarious, and they have some appropriately filthy sea shanties (though not nearly enough).

I bought Rimworld on GOG for my "When retired" folder, but that game looks real interesting, not sure if I have willpower to wait that long, especially given how game's UI and wiki ain't half as intimidating as Crusader Kings' one.

Greedfall on PS4

It's interesting and fun, but seems kind of slow paced. I don't mind it too much. The combination of open design and small budget does mean that I keep accidentally stumbling on solutions to quests just by doing other stuff.

I am currently playing Safe at least some data out of computer which was tonight on fire (literally on fire, like burning, with real flmes) :fdevil:

Thankfully it was not mine, but customers, unfortunally for them.

All of that happened right after I spent more than 6 hours in last two days of applying mandatory updates over slow remote connection and another 4-6 hours of my colleagues work troubleshooting some stuff after the customer did some upgrades to its stuff at lab...

Last backup, which did not get destroyed by fire is almost two years old. So now, after recovering all of the data, I’ll have to do everything, what I’ve done in the last two years again.

The funny thing is, that there was only two PCs compatible with the customers specs in the whole country, thankfully both of them not scrapped yet. First one 2 hours away and the second one 4 hoirs away. And of course, the first one got damaged over the transport *insert Luke Skywalker Nooo! meme here*

All in all, the customer contacted me at 7am, and because all of that **** hitting the fan, the first work on the recovery method could be started  only around 6pm *cheers* (not really)

Probably, I will have to spend whole weekend with rebuilding ****, because the lab can not perform their routine testing without this specific computer.

Lucky me...

/rant off

EDIT: and that was posted to the completely wrong thread lol 😄 sorry guys, installation of the software is finally done 😄

I purchased Vaporum right after I have found out, that the game was made by Slovakian company. Me loving grid based dungeon crawlers is a big plus 😛

The Witcher Adventure game

Baldur's Gate the first + portrait pack

Hardland (some kind of Zelda adventure/mystery)

The Soul Reaver series and Tyranny on GOG. The ability to switch between versions is worth repurchasing.

Titanfall on Origin. It is finally in the "it is fine if I don't like it" price range, but it also has giant robots so I am quite optimistic.

Dragon Age II on Steam. I'd prefer GOG, though.

Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality on Itch.io. Self-explanatory and there were several games I was interested in.

Edit. Refunded Titanfall and bought The Sea of Solitude. The former required to be online in order to be able play the campaign (and I had forgotten about it), the latter is a single-player only indie.

Been keeping an eye out on it as well. Looks interesting, but decided I'll give it time to mature. If it's good, it'll still be good when it's finished.

Scooped up GreedFall on a Steam Sale at 50% off. Once I hit a brick wall in La-Mulana 2 and need to take a break from it (it's a super hard game, it's inevitable) I can get my eurojank RPGing on. This is the only Spiders game I have yet to play, so it will soon be time to rectify that transgression.

There was a Ubisoft sale and I bought these from the Xbox store:

-Splinter Cell: Double Agent

-Splinter Cell: Double Agent(OG Xbox version, it has a different campaign compared to the PC/360/PS3 versions of the game)

-GRAW

-GRAW 2

Both Splinter Cell games are One X enhanced so I am going to enjoy playing them next March once I am done with my PS Plus backlog. Now all I need to do is find myself a copy of Splinter Cell: Double Agent for the PS2 because it has two bonus missions the OG Xbox version doesn't have. :p

There used to be a signature here, a really cool one...and now it's gone.

Decided to bite the bullet and purchased Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake on EGS. It seems that Ubisoft games can be downloaded from the EGS client and I was unable to navigate the UPlay store (it showed a loading image and froze), so it made the choice of platform easy, despite the possibility of two DRMs.
