In a completely unexpected move for me, Edge of Eternity has been released today on GOG. If you like JRPGs, this might interest you.

Summer Sale is on.   Sleeping Dogs at $3 is great, although I'm sure everyone has that by now, 60% off Grim Dawn too.

My own two all time favourite games are available for free on GOG (they used to be available on the website of the guy who did the PC port/conversion)...

Some may find them a bit dated by now, but for those of us with rose tinted nostalgia goggles, these are still the ultimate mix of rpg, strategy and grand strategy (and Mike Singleton is an unrecognized bloody genius)

Gorthfuscious I normally trust your recommendations  but I need to know if these games contain  important themes like critical race theory? :teehee:

4 new Tomb Raider releases: Legend, Anniversary, Underworld; Game of the Year (Reboot). Can get the 7 games available for a smidge over $10 total.

Gorth's tl;dr; review... Legend and Underworld sort of Ok'ish, although not in any way capturing the old Tomb Raider "magic".... Anniversary: 🤮

Never tried the game of the year (reboot) thing. Burnt my hands badly enough on the Anniversary game.

Edit: As for why I don't like the recent games much, what made the original Tomb Raider games great for me were the great exploration experiences. Later they turned into very bad shooters. Seriously, even Mass Effect 2 and 3 did a better job at being third person shooter games than the later TR installments.

To say something positive... I recently bought a number of games on GOG. Next on my to-do list is Mechanicus (the WH40k game)

Nice, we should create some " gaming law " where every committed gamer needs to buy maybe 20 % of all games, at least,  from GOG or your right to gaming gets revoked until you buy from GOG :teehee:

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

Interesting. So now they have Starfleet Command Gold and Starfleet Command 3 in there but not the better game in the series, SFC2/OP. I guess the distribution rights for that one are a mess, with the Dynaverse crew actually holding exclusivity or something because otherwise it makes zero sense that they would skip it.

It's a great trailer. That said, the vast majority of 40K games focus on the wrong faction, the Orks are the true stars of this franchise. WAAAGH! Can a guy get a game focused on my boys the Evil Sunz? We all know the red ones go fasta.
