Random Sales again

Not a sale per se, but Rockstar just released it's own game launcher and it comes for limited time with free GTA: San Andreas if someone is interested.
Nice about the game, sucks about another launcher.

It apparently also retroactively turns GTA V into a always-online game, even for the single player. This is supposedly a bug.

Also appears to make the game unplayable on Linux through Proton at this time.

Cultist Simulator 40% off on Steam.

It is an interesting game, and I found the first few playthroughs very engaging. It is quite luck based though, and that wore me down a bit, when this investigator kept getting critical successes, unearthing clue after clue, and my super assassin creatures from other dimensions, with no chance of failure kept getting beaten. The investigator had a million to one chance... then again those come true nine out of ten times, and my last playthrough proved that to be true.

I keep meaning to give it another chance.

Unobtrusively informing you about my new ebook (which you should feel free to read and shower with praise).

Steam seems to be breaking down again due to the start of the Winter Sale.

The Epic store seems also to be having trouble (they are doing a different free game every day aparently and some $10 coupon thing).

Meh, nothing interesting in it anyway. Think I haven't bought stuff in a sale for years now.

Noticed Resident Evil 2 remake on Steam is around 20 bucks. Seems a good sale price and another spiffy action game to utilize the 4k goodness with (I built this machine I'm going to get use out of it, darnit)

But what's the combat like? Is it really hard or convoluted mechanics-wise? Is there an easy mode? Since, y'know, I'm lazy as **** now.

Apparently Wasteland 1 is free too.

Also in Wasteland news: the 30th Anniversary Edition Wasteland 1 remake/remaster is officially pushed back to early 2020. I suppose InXile should rename it to the 31st Anniversary Edition.

Nicely co-inciding with the Origin sale that's just started, you can redeem a month's free Origin Access Basic from SteelSeries here. Don't need to own any of their products or anything. In doing so you can get an extra 10% off that stacks with the current sale.

Conveniently it's just a one-time 30-day credit, so you're not forced into a recurring subscription that needs to be cancelled.

(I used it go buy Sims 4 University, I'm weak I know. 55% discount for an expansion out less than a month ago is pretty decent mind you, even if I'm only buying it for the much-awaited Roommate feature)

On humble bundle there is a bundle of Europa Universalis IV, with deal from 1$ to 17$. It contains only that game and overload of DLC for that.

Considering that otwerwise it is hard to keep track of all DLC that some deal.

EU4 is grant strategy game where you paint the world in your favorite colour.

To bad, EUIV is not planned for GOG as well, would be instabuy for me :(
