Right now I been playing A Plague Tale Innocence and also Rage 2, but I have been enjoying A Plague Tale Innocence a lot more

(I guess this has a lot to do with where the game takes place and whats going on at the time, France and The Black Death).

I just found yet another benefit of being a Setite in Conan Exiles. In addition to the ridiculously OP snake arrows and the sweet Setite garb, followers of Set can also make antidote potions. Previously, I had mainly used these potions to counter the poisoning I got from being bit by a snake or spider, or being stung by a scorpion, and it works wonderfully for that. But the Set Antidote removes ALL kinds of poisoning. Recently, I acquired the feat to brew and distill my own alcohol (My wild parties and orgies just got even better. Join Team Keyrock today. Membership has its privileges!). Consuming alcohol, especially in large amounts, confers some pretty dang strong buffs on the imbiber. Unfortunately, drinking a lot of alcohol also gives you alcohol poisoning, which super sucks. Remember how I wrote that Set Antidote removes ALL kinds of poisoning? That's right, it removes alcohol poisoning, and food poisoning, for that matter. Now I can get all the excellent buffs from getting super drunk with none of the drawbacks. The blasphemers would have you believe that The Serpent God is evil. Pfft, they just don't know Father Set the way I do. Glory to The Old Serpent!

The Division really isn't meant to be a single player game, is it.  I'm remembering why the first game failed to keep me invested long-term.  Playing through The Division 2, I'm enjoying the gun fights on the missions, but the story isn't pulling me in and the characters are just kind of there to the point where it feels like a giant MMO (which I guess is kind of the point?).

NEW UPDATE: Well I was loving A Plague Tale Innocence but that was right up till the third major boss fight, which had stopped me cold in my tracks,

Man I just could not win this fight for the life of me. This boss fight took place in I think it was chapter 15, out of a total of 17 chapters.

The boss fight had me pitted against a man with a bloody flaming sword (I think the guy's name was Lord Nicholas or something like that).

Ah after my 8 try beat to him I give up and went back to playing RAGE 2 for the time being. I'll get back to finally beating this boss fight sooner or later, or

I may just watch the last two chapters in a walk-through on Youtube to found out how the game ends, this is more then likely what I'll do anyway.

I also just started a playthrough of Titan Quest Anniversary Edition with the Ragnarok expansion. I'm putting off doing the Atlantis expansion till a few more

updates are added on Steam for it.

Fear Effect: Sedna
Completed the second mission, started the third. Got stuck at a rhythm mini-game.

Solas and the White Winter
Completed the game (puzzle-adventure). There was only one progress=stopping bug (switches in the third temple didn't work, restarting the game fixed it) and I completely missed the story (was the kid a ghost?). The controls were imprecise and unrebindable.

I think I found the spot for my next base in Conan Exiles. It's on the boundary of 2 biomes, nicely centrally located, and there's all manner of resources all around. The area is a bit dangerous with tigers on one side and wolves on the other (surprisingly, the wolves are the more dangerous enemies), but nothing I can't handle so long as I'm careful. It's a really badass looking spot. I'll post a picture once I begin construction, assuming I do wind up building here. This is going to take a long time to build, given I'm going to use tier 3 building materials, which require multiple steps of refinement, but it will be worth it.

Well, the first Purge in Conan Exiles finally triggered, wasn't quite so bad. But I might have over-prepared a tad...

It was a Darfari Purge. I had a hole hit in two of my sandstone walls, none of the higher tier things got damaged at all. Mobs appear to focus on destroying your buildings rather than trying to kill you. I also discovered that archer aggro range is rather hit and miss and that their range isn't really great.

Two named enemies spawned, one was a priest (not sure what religion, he got killed by my guards before I got there), the other was a fighter. The rest were T1/2 mooks and flamingos.

I mostly got loads of hides (gotta skin all them cannibals), some low-tier armour and materials and a lot of hearts to offer to Seth

So after that I did some research on Purges:

  • the level of the Purge is determined by the cap set in server settings (default is 4) and the area you reside in, spots south of Newbie River are capped at T2 (hence why my purge was so "weak", I imagine).
  • location to be purged is chosen randomly from settlements on the server, anything having "foundations" is fair game for a purge (yes, that includes that 4x4 hut with a single chest you built somewhere.
  • there are limits on what they can damage, I don't remember the details but basically if I built my base using only T2 stuff the Purge would not be able to do damage given the spot I am in.
  • the Purge spawns unique NPCs and some (arch?) priests are supposedly only obtainable through a Purge, the same goes for some recipes.

My main concern at this point is what'd happen to "older" settlements in case I choose to expand, though in this spot I'm quite confident the NPCs can take care of it at this point.

I'll probably have to redesign my beach facing cliff town to be a bit easier to defend given how the archers there were rather ineffective.

Not playing Dark Future.

The beta had been a lot of crazy fun. A roller coaster rider of exploding cars. It was a bit easy, so raised some worries about longevity, but speeding down the highway making things go boom was fun.

The launch version got tweaked. Now the game is not fun.

Wrote the devs some feedback on discord. Maybe they'll take it to heart. I'll leave the game installed so it autopatches if they do anything. But I am not sure I'll bother. . Of course it is aggravated by the fact that I loved the game when I had played it a few weeks ago.

The Division 2 seriously needs to add a flashlight that you can attach to your guns.  If you're walking around at night or go into any buildings/tunnels with no light, it's literally impossible to see.

There's realism in video games, and then there's annoying adherence to realism in video games that ruins the experience.

Started NWN2: Storm of Zehir.
Is there any way to import companions from other campaigns? I managed to find my old saves from 2008 (the original campaign and MotB), but could export only the main character.

I think its completely stand alone expansion

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It's a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing "I'm an Oscar Meyer Wiene"

The problem is exporting them. From what I understand you export your character, but companions don't have a way of getting exported into a character file for you to import them from.

I see. Thank you for the confirmation.
I made two custom characters - a fighter and a favoured soul (haven't used or seen this class before, so may auto-level up help me) and started the campaign. So far so good - the ship crashed and the surviving passengers, my party included, were ambushed by the locals.

It's been so long, was there a Shadowkeeper type utility for the NWN2 series of games? I used to use those utilities all the time to give myself enough exp to insta-level to lev 3, then later I would subtract the same amount of exp to make things fair, just because I despise low level D& D with the fiery passion of a thousand suns. Before I found Shadowkeeper, the beginning of BG1 was the most frustrating experience. Having to save scum again and again until my chars got strong enough that they didn't sometimes get 1-shot by friggin kobolds... or whatever the mooks at the beginning of BG1 were? Was it kobolds?

Oh God, I just remembered Neshkel mines... *shudders* :yucky:

Stumbling into the Firewine Ruins too early was a much more fun experience than the Nashkell mines. Those were reasonable, at least the Kobolds didn't respawn upon resting.

Thought it was six of one, half a dozen of the other. Firewine ruins had instagib traps- a nightmare with narrow corridors plus the IEs awful pathfinding- and kobolds with fire arrows iirc.

For whatever reason, I didn't hate Firewine Ruins... as much. Neshkel Mines scarred me for life. Neshkel Mines is the reason I never completely replayed BG1 (whereas I replayed BG2 once, NWN 3 or 4 times, Hordes of the Underdark more times than I can count, and NWN 2 twice). Everytime I tried playing BG1 again I would get as far as Neshkel Mines, exit game, scroll down menu to "Uninstall Baldur's Gate 1", click. :p

Same thing with the swamp in The Witcher 1. I love TW1, but I can't go through that swamp again. I won't do that to myself.

Started playing Vigilantes. It's kind of like the original Jagged Alliance, with some decent turn based combat, and a Punisher type story. It's very much a small indie project, but I'm enjoying the strategy and setting.

Wolves near Candlekeep, then kobolds near the mines, then assassins after the mines, then hobgoblins. Then you get decent stats and equipment and can defeat almost everything (excluding beholders without Baldur's shield).
Storm gives about 8000 exp at the start, so the party doesn't have to rely on RNG.

You should consider also picking up the Mysteries of Westgate DLC. That was so worth the money imo.

Got the Platinum Edition on GOG, The Mysteries of Westgate were included. Storm of Zehir was released before TMoW, thus I started with it (played the original campaign and Mask of the Betrayer in 2008, according to the save files).

Anyway, I restarted the campaign after I realized that the Favoured Soul was going to become an Unarmed strike specialist (Ilmater). This time the party included a rogue (MC), a fighter, a favoured soul (Lathander, mace), and a warlock. The general idea was to depend on resting less and to cover all necessary skills. We successfully survived the first combat encounter and reached (were escorted to) Samargol, apparently the main city in the campaign.
I had the feeling that there wouldn't be many companions, considering that they were called "cohorts" now. But I met the first one at the market. It was a druid with a dinosaur. The dinosaur left after the conversation, though. Not sure, if I can dismiss my custom party members and add more NPCs - the book at the tavern doesn't seem to allow it. The druid had some unique replies in the dialogues and I'd like to have access to more options.

Having a party with me (even if they're called cohorts) is why I loved NwN2 and hated NwN1. I'm continuing to slog through The Witcher 3 right now but am beginning to lose some interest ... and not having a party with me is definitely *the* reason why.

I never got problems with Nashkel mines, I guess i got enough xp before them to roll through without a problem
