The point is to lead by example, if Hillary Clinton did the exact same rhetoric and divisivity

Did you miss her "basket of deplorables" or recent "we cannot be civil" speeches?

Or should we add this to your "did not hear about this" mountain?

No, I didn't miss those, I'm talking about Trumpian level rhetoric, imagine it dialed up to 11, or maybe replace Trump with Hillary at a Trump rally and use the exact same language he uses.

They actually did genderswap them and the consensus is that Hillary just plain sucks

https://www.nyu.edu/about/news-publications/news/2017/march/trump-clinton-debates-gender-reversal.html

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

*If you can't tell, it's you. ;)

Sanders did denounce it and Pelosi did make remarks on it in the House along with Ryan.

Still not sure what is so horrible about getting in politicians' faces in public, Americans always say governments should fear the people.

Catholics are 100% infected by it. Pretty much all faith systems are- Siddartha Gautama wouldn't exactly be keen on murdering, raping and ethnically cleansing Rohingya in Burma yet that is actively supported and justified by many Buddhist monks.

The number of right wing death squads that were exquisitely Catholic is very, very long indeed despite anything that long haired socialist lefty who gave Christianity its name may have said, and most of them thought they were being absolutely righteous when they were raping, murdering and torturing.

I find there is a lot of value at the heart of faith traditions, just not the faith part. Or at least the conception of one's faith as being virtuous and that one's own perception is infallible enough (despite rampant fallibility elsewhere) that they can find conviction in their faith off of emotionally buttressed experiences. Using faith with a grain of salt strategically based on likelihood is a totally different relationship with the concept.

The self-righteous atheism that "frees one's non-existent soul" from risk of judgement and recasts all morals as relative and consequentialist runs into it's own risk. But the skeptical atheistic scorn and articulation of the follies of religion seems to be the only thing that can edge itself enough into (some) people's minds that they can shirk off the faith systems themselves. If a religious figure offered you enough sugary spoonfuls of wisdom that you can repeatedly add your own arsenic and not even taste it, then you have exactly the problem most faiths run into. Even if you are religious/spiritual, there should be an acknowledgement of the risk to attributing virtues incorrectly; unfortunately that very policing of detritus often leads to a rigid fundamentalism when some seriously pursues what they have preemptively decided the will follow. A sort of crystallized tyranny emerges as a system, from the faithful behavior that is followed. With a lot of the sweet sugar becoming even more desired to mask the arsenic that one's own community produces. Being social creatures, the impetuous spasms to act out prescriptions in the social realm have a particularly insidious way of both overtly and subtly of punishing those who and that which interferes with the receptors of the sweet taste buds. At which point such a person can't help but make their own higher level derived interpretations of the world based on the lens that they have opted for on faith, for it becomes necessary to identify the source of the arsenic once it's been tasted.

With Burma, Uygur internment camps, Yemen, the Levant, and others while geo-socio-political externalities may drive the initial conflicts, it's the reactions done through the lenses of the populace that metastasize as amplifiers in the feedback loop. Much like the middle east and the pervasive reflection of Islamic identity, I can't see much holding back America's powder keg other than a run-away over indulgence of consuming a diet of self-aggrandizing American identity which is ultimately based on the achievements (some of which better called crimes) of other individuals who happened to bear an American nationality by the time of their death. I can't help but feel a lot the behavior is driven off of fear. Fear of the world, fear of the divine, fear of the other's world, fear of the other's divine. However there is no easy solution to fear, so there will be no easy solution to these identities of faith.

Bolsonaro won - https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-46013408

Interesting statistic I found out during coverage of this election, Brazilian cops kill 14 people a day on average. Granted, not that much of a surprise considering stuff like BOPE exist I guess.

The mass shooter (Bowers) who killed 11 people was an anti-President Trump democrat who was mad he lost his job, had no money. It triggered him. It wasn't just racism/hate crime but also a political one. This isn't a surprise, just another reason why these people are need to be exterminated and to think there are some delusional folks who say "Good he did that, Republicans shouldn't have pushed him" also terrorists/democratic extremists with that mindset as well. What's new...

Just what do you think you're doing?! You dare to come between me and my prey? Is it a habit of yours to scurry about, getting in the way and causing bother?

What are you still bothering me for? I'm a Knight. I'm not interested in your childish games. I need my rest.

Begone! Lest I draw my nail...

This it was 'a republican' or a 'democrat' is silly because both sides have psychos and they both have represenatives who 'egg' them on.  Trying to pretend one is better than the oither is a loser's battle.

So your response to a crazy person is to exterminate them. That doesn't sound crazy at all.

"Are you telling me that democrats are now inciting anti-semitic violence?"

They've been doing it for awhile. The SJW Nazi crowd loaths Isreal and Jews unless  they use them to conviently attack others.

Just watch the reaction every time Hamas attacks Isreal and Isreal fires about and watch as they ignore the  tons of Palstinians that Hamas mass murderers.

Of course, the Hard Right also hate the Jews and see every conspiracy being driven by Jews because they crazy like that too.

Not surprising. He was actually quite close to winning outright in the first round, he was just under 4 points short of the 50% he needed. It's pretty crazy because the highest-polling candidate (Lula) is actually serving a sentence for corruption and was rightly barred from running. If Haddad had won, he would have probably pardoned him and would have vindicated Bolsonaro anyway.

Guess that after a few years of the crony capitalism of the corrupt left, the people want to try on some fascism for size.

Wait, I thought he was ranting about teh joos or something.

Are you telling me that democrats are now inciting anti-semitic violence?

Just another variation of "teh nazis were actually left-wing". Nothing to see, move along.

More like trying populist nationalism of far-right flavor than fascism. Seems more like Bolsonaro wants the return of the military dictatorship from decades ago, if anything.

Definetly a hard right swerve for sure.

LOL

I don't need to prove he wasa dem, just follow the news silly. You don't HAVE to take my word for anything but the fact that Trump was a supporter of the Jewish church indicates that he was anything but a Trumpite, just doesn't make much sense for a "Trump supporter" to go against everything Trump stands for, ya know?:That's another way for me to say it's bs.

That doesn't mean he's a democrat, isn't a binary choice. Seems like just a run of the mill Neo-Nazi type

Only a fool would find a need to tie this violent Trump supporting terrorist with Democratic values, someone who opposes the Dems would know that the enemy of their enemy does not necessitate that they are on the same side.

He's Pinochet 2.0, whether this is fascism or "just" some snowflake far-right ideology is going to be irrelevant to the Brazilians who are about to get ****ed by the state and the corporations Bolsonaro kneels down for.

Hmmm.. should have known the forum members here would be so quick to defend this trigger happy monster and try to somehow blame our current President for what's gone down. The only thing left is for members here to defend pedophilia and call it a disease instead of a crime.... Oh wait.

Anyway, here's a video with the proper facts (no alternative facts or fake news biased speculation).

Heh. Yes, guess I'm a fool for doing research, next people will be telling me that the info in the video was made up. Forum logic always seems to work in opposites as it were anyway

I'm confused as to how is anyone defending the shooter ?   Also, you probably should summarize the video or provide a timestamp, 2.5 hours of some Youtube edgelord is a bit too much to sift through :p

volo thats nosense, the Democrats are not anti-semitic ...where is your evidence? Having mixed views on the Israel\Palestanian conflict is normal...not anti-semitism

She wouldn't be Chancellor for life, I think we all knew that. I suppose theres still a chance that the German Parliament could force her out in a vote of no confidence or that she steps down before that point.

I just like her, I always have. She has been excellent for Germany and the EU generally

Yes she made a mistake with the immigrants and her support for that doomed policy has cost her politically but a few mistakes cant negate all the positive she did  :geek:

FAKE NEWS.

The Dems clearly have an anti Jewish/anti isreal stance. And, the further left 9and right) you go the more hatefulness you find. Just look at the reaction everytime Isreal and Hames go on their violent sprees. See who they attack worse. Like I said above, Hamas mass murders Palestinians  and nobody says a darn thing but Isreal fires back after Hamas lobs bomb and all you read is attacks on Isreal.

Both the far right and the far left  hate Jews. Sad but true.
