Seemed like monk got some nice fixes to abilities like The Dichotomous Soul and it could use some discussion on a separate thread.  Equipment abilities like Effigy's Husk's death aoe works when your clones die though they are kind of tanky.   I've tried equipping the Necklace of Unlocked Possibilities, but the weapons spawned in the hands of the monks do not scale like their fists do so you can get a range of unique weapons going from exceptional to legendary that you can find out via combat log.

One thing I like to note is that for some reason item party auras like the Curios necklace didn't seem to give the buff to my party members, but it gave it to my party's other summons.  On the other hand some auras that also benefit self, were able to be copied with my clones.

The Belt of Magran's Chosen got even better for a monk since now the clones can trigger the "on-hit" to summon a fire elemental.  That means a pure monk can farm for an elemental proc to perform a mortar/frost seeker Whispers of the Wind to stack a ton of resonances via splash aoe then burst into raw damage then repeat again on all the fire elementals it may have spawned to stack even more.  I haven't tried the other new weapons or checked if other weapons have been changed similarly so there might be some super cool synergies I'm too busy to test.

Has anyone felt any differences in blade turning?

Yeah, it don't turn touch abilities with positive effects to it caster :D Don't forget about mask that auto-cast terrify on < 50HP, that is my favorite combo is ship fights, you just summon them and enjoy mass terrifying ;)

Ah that makes sense with lay on hands. That mask is very nice too.

Abusing stuff like Effigy's Husk + Mantle of the Seven Bolts (or other AoE on death) + Efford (Full Attack on death) should be quite nice.

You could now use a Monk/Wizard to generate lots of wounds passively with Alacrity and send in suicidal Essential Phantoms earlier in the game and later The Dichotomous Twins.

You could just send your summons in as cannon fodder and nuke them (along with the enemy) with your nicest friendly-fire spells.

BUT - last time I tested this those on-knockout effects didn't trigger with your summons because they don't seem to go unconscious but simply vanish on death - NOT triggerning the effect. Has that changed (which would be awesome)?

Ya, I tested it too pre 2.1 and it didn't trigger before, but now it does.  I am assuming wizard clones do the same too since the Shroud of the Phantasm cloak summon benefits from equips as well and wizard clones have your weapons unlike the twins  :o

Why do your summons have BDD and Iron skill effects? And more importantly: what are Iron skill effects?

When character skin change color from normal to gray, there also exist spell with same name Ironskin :D If you equip Nemnok cloak it will proc for each summon separately, and your summons can survive storm of Holy Fire for example and keep flanked status little bit longer
