Mouse click bug

solaris6

Question

...since 2.0 beta patch. Steam version, non-english Win10.

- The description of the bug

It happens when you click on basically any "button" GUI element. First 5-6 clicks are okay, but then it feels like it double clicks or doesn't register the click at all. Easy to trigger when you click on the ability multiple times, for example Leap. The faster you click, the more missing or double clicks you get. Movement clicks are fine. It's extremely annoying, especially in fights, and also while picking objects or changing equip. Both Main Menu and all saved games are affected.

- How I temporarily "fixed" it

Simply turning off Steam overlay completely solved the problem, finished BoW like this. But playing without it is inconvenient, since I use it a lot, and it makes the game as unplayable as the bug itself.

Haven't tested the bug with the older versions of steam client since I unfortunately don't have it. Still hoping and waiting for the real fix.

Hey Solaris,

I'm sorry that this is still occurring for you.  Could you do me a favor and send me a save file, output_log, and DxDiag.  You can find instructions on obtaining these here.  I apologize if you've done this already before, I haven't seen a recent post about it.  You can either provide a link to your files via Dropbox or you may attach them to an email for us at support@obsidian.net. If you do email us, please link this post and mention your Steam forum username so that we may identify you easily.  I want to add these to the bug report so we have more to work with to help find and address the issue.

Sorry for the inconvenience this bug is causing.

Hey Solaris,

Thank you for letting me know.  This was supposed to have been fixed since the team is no longer able to reproduce this.  I'll have the Programming team dig into this again to see what they can find.  Do you happen to have an up to date output_log.txt file that I can add to the bug report for some extra data to compare with the old one?

Thanks, and sorry this is still occurring for you.

I currently cannot click anything once the game is loaded.  the main menu/continue/options nothing.  i bought a utechsmart venus mmo gaming mouse.  the mouse works fine with windows and bascially any other game i have. 100+ games.  tried loading the game in windowed mode/disabled steam overlay./ verified integrity of game files.  noticed the keyboard isnt working either in game. i unplugged both of the devices while in game plugged them back in just to see if it made any difference and it didnt. i sent the 3 files and emailed support@obsidian.net
