You can also do this in real time using the unity console mod over at the deadfire nexus. Under "appearance" there should be a scale option that you can tick up and down, even to pretty extreme degrees. I suggest trying a fight with a 20ft tall party at least once.

The game would be kind of disorienting with all the short comments for giant orlans lol

The game has a giant head mode, now it needs a giant orlan mode!

Hi, so I heard you can change a value in the files so your character is taller. Can someone tell me how I can change my human character to be taller? thanks

if anything i want to make taller probably would be elves. obsidian version of elves are shorter than human. not sure why dwarves aren't taller. if not mistaken dragon age elves are short and slaves too.

Dragon age elves are indeed short. I always like to make characters look like myself (tall n slim), but my favorite games always make elves too short (small n slim) or the humans too jacked/wide (tall n broad-ish).

There should be a toggle to control height. Humans in real life have a range of heights (Generally 1.55m to 2.05m). It should be logical that other species would also have that range. Also they should have one per gender. In humans it should simply be making men maximum and minimum heights slightly above of the women´s. In other species this can change according to lore. Also a toggle for body mass would be nice.

It reminds me, the great masterpiece that is Tyranny had body types as the first option.

Elves are shorter than humans in Baldur's Gate and D&D too. It's more likely they copied that then trying to be different.

Well they’re darned if they do and darned if they don’t. If the elves are tall and slim then they are copying Tolkien and if they are short and slim then they are copying D&D.

Elves are just so common in fantasy that there isn’t a way to include them that doesn’t copy someone. If they change them too much then they become elves in name only.

This isn't about elves, its about making a height scaler/body type in character creation. Why does everything have to be about elves  :banghead:

Isn’t everything about elves though?

I’ll admit I could have sworn there was a post about PoE copying their elves from D&D.

On a related note, while I understand the desire to add scaling and body shape to PoE, it often strikes me as more of a hassle to implement than the benefit it provides to the player. If the height/weight slider is too extreme then the effects become cartoonish and if they are more realistic then the changes usually are not noticeable (outside of extreme short/tall and fat/emaciated).

This just seems like something best left to the modding community.

Ever since Saint's Row, I've been yearning for more **** size sliders

I am getting an error when I go to do this - when I click 'appearance' in the unity console it says: 'Expando' object has no attribute 'loadModels'

You ever run into this issue? I figure it is probably from a subsequent update, but i'm looking around for a possible fix.
