[Announcement] PoE2 Deadfire Tweaks

This is a pack of mods that I've been releasing since May with various changes and additions to the game:

Some of the changes were requested by the community over the Nexus and/or here on the forums.

Any new requests are welcome, so feel free to make one I will try to make it during my spare time :)

 

Below are the addons/changes available at the pack. Each item can be downloaded separeted.

 

:: RECENT ADDITIONS::

(New v1.2.2) Companion Pallegina Troubadour:

  • Added the troubadour subclass to Pallegina

(New v1.2.2) Companion Aloth Evoker Sorcerer ArcaneKnight:

  • Added Evoker subclass to the Wizard choice
  • Changed Battlemage to Arcane Knight (Wizard + Shieldbearers)

:: MAIN FEATURES ::

Barbarian Carnage Rebalance:

  • Changed the Accurate Carnage talent toprovide the following bonus:

+8 Accuracy (was +5 on the originalgame)+
+10% Carnage Damage
+15% AoE

Barbarian Subclass Rebalance:

  • Changed Berserker Frenzy to no longer HideHealth
  • Mage Slayer can now use potions
  • Mage Slayer spell resistence affects onlyhostile spells
  • Mage Slayer now suffers 10% less spelldamage

 
Casita Samelia Legacy: 

  • Fixed the deflection loss after a fight,which required to re-equip the armor
  • Changed Intimidate scaling to be 0.35 perpoint (Patch 1.1 set this value to 0.25 and Game 1.0 had this at 0.5)

Companions Armor:

  • Modified Companion armors:

Aloth: Added Arcane Extension
(Updated) Eder: Added Burnished Joints and Radiant Light (+ %Damage and Healing scaling with Religion)
(Updated) Serafen: Made Unique and lighter (+5 Armor / +20% Recovery), added Soul Barrier, Lithe Motion, Safety at Distance
Xoti: Made Unique and added Fine, Protective Runes, Padded Underlayer, Path of Mercy, and Lesser Lay on Hands 
(New) Tekehu: Made Unique and added Parabolic Wave, Visual Refraction, and Oilskin
(New) Night Market Amulet(Eder): Changed to trinket and added Holy Radiance ability
 
Companion Eder Unbroken/Streetfighter:

  • Gave Eder the following subclasses: Unbroken and Streetfighter

Companion Rekke Ghost Heart:

  • Changed Rekke's Fighter choice to be Ranger with Ghost Heart Subclass
  • Changed Rekke's Fighter/Monk choice to Ghost Heart/Helwalker
  • Added Subclasses to Fighter/Barbarian choice: Devoted/Beserker

Companion Ydwin Beguiler Trickster:

  • Gave the Trickster and Beguiler Subclasses to Ydwin's Rogue and Cipher/Rogue options
  • Pure Cipher remains unchanged

Cipher Spells Rebalance:

  • Changed Recovery and Damage values foralmost all Cipher spells
  • Damage values similar to the first game
  • Recovery changed to 2.0 seconds
  • Casting Speed changed to 1.5 seconds
  • Improved Bitting Whip from 10% to 20%

Cipher Soul Blade Ranged:

  • Soul Blade changed to Weapon range insteadof Melee
  • On kill effects changed to trigger whenscoring a kill within 12 meters instead of melee

 
Druid Spells Rebalance:

  • Improved most of druid spells casting andrecovery speeds

 
Faith and Conviction with Engagements

  • Added +1 engagement for Faith andConviction with a scaling based on disposition (maximum of +3 engagements slots from the ability when having max dispositions)

 
Fighter Rebalance:

  • Changed Weapon Specialization to 15%
  • Changed Weapon Mastery to 5% damage and+10% Attack Speed
  • Changed Armored Grace to 50% due to howArmor Recovery is calculated and added a +1 Crush/Pierce/Slash Armor, resulting as follow:

20% -> 2%
35% -> 12%
55% -> 26%

  • Changed Charge to also do a PrimaryAttack to the Target and everyone in the Path (Game Version 1.0 was Full Attack and Beta 1.1 is only a Stun)
  • Tactical Barrage now also gives QuickInspiration

 
Godlike Rebalance Scaling:

  • Ashen Skin: 6 Burn Armor instead of only 2Burn Armor
  • Battle Forged: 1 Armor +1 Armor/8 Levelsafter 1st. Damage increase to 4-8 Fire Damage, 10% Damage Scaling from Power Level instead of 5%
  • Death Godlike: Powers now activates onBloodied instead of Near Death. Pallid Fate now gives only +2 to compensate
  • Moon Godlike: Made Silver Tide to scalewith level (+3/Level)

 
Improved Cast Times:

  • Changed Casting time values:

Slow: 3.5 sec (from 4.5)
Very Slow: 4 sec (from 6)

Item Modals:

  • Rapid Reload (Pistol): -5Accuracy +25% Reload Speed
  • Block (Medium Shield): Changed Recovery Penalty to be Beneficial instead (+15%) in order to make Sword+Board style more viable and competitive with Dual Wield.
  • Half-Sword (Longsword): Changed to -8 Deflection
  • Rapid Shot (Hunting Bow): Changed to -10 Accuracy
  • Aimed Shot (Arquebus):+10% Damage
  • Savage Attack (Greatsword): Changed Accuracy to -7 (from -10) and added +1 Penetration
  • All modals now stack with everything (bonuses don't get suppressed)

Monk Ranged:

  • Changed Turning Wheel and Enervating Blows to work with Ranged Weapons as well

Monk Rooting Pain 66:

  • Changed Rooting Pain proc rate from 33% to 66% as requested

Paladin Goldpact Knight Rebalance:

  • Changed Gilded Enmity Armor bonus to stackwith other sources

 
Paladin Rebalance:

  • Reduced Zeal cost from Exhortations andsome of the other highter level abilities
  • Increased Lay of Hands range to 6m insteadof 3m and reduced Recovery time
  • Made Zealous Auras to stack with everything
  • Added +1 Weapon Penetration for ExaltedFocus
  • Kind Wayfarer Healing Flames now has a +2Health/level scaling

Paladin Shieldbearers Rebalance:

  • Gave a +1 Armor bonus when using a shield
  • Changed Lay on Hands ability:
  1. Improved duration to 9.0 secs (from 5.0)
  2. Changed Heal value to 15 (from 20)
  3. Removed Immortality bonus from Lay on Hands(replaced with the ability below)
  4. Added a 25 damage absorption shield for 9.0on Lay on Hands that scales with level (+5 shield / 2 levels)
  5. Hands of Light now gives double the amountof Shield and Shield scaling (50 + 10 / 2 levels)

Priest New Spells:

  • Added new Healing spells at Power Levels 2,4, 5, 7:
  1. Restore Vigor:Restores 8 Health / 3.0 sec for 18 sec
  2. Restore Moderate Wounds:Restores 60 Health
  3. Restore Greater Vigor: Restores 16 Health / 3.0 sec for 24 sec
  4. Restore Critical Woulds:Restores 90 Health
  5. Buffed Minor Intercession and Light ofEothas Healing (70 and 120)

Priest Spells Rebalance:

  • Improved Priest Spells recovery and castingtimes

 
Ranger Rebalance:

  • Reduced Bond cost by 1 across the board
  • Improved Thorns Damage (normal andupgraded) and now they are AoE as per Beta Patch 1.1
  • Improved Wounding Shot Raw damage from 20%to 40% per 3.0 sec
  • Reduced Casting and Recovery times for PetHeals and Thorns
  • Improved Evasive Roll and Fire duration to20 seconds
  • Improved Concussive Shot and its upgrade byadding Penetration (Both) and Damage bonus (Upgrade only)
  • Resilient Companion scales +1/8 Levels and+2 Health/Level
  • Vicious Companions scales damage +5%/5Levels and +1 Penetration at level 13
  • Changed Marked for the Hunt to givea +10% Damage to Health for the Pet and the Ranger on each Strike
  • Changed Pet Attack Recovery to Fast (3.0seconds) and "Attack Speed" to Fast (0.5 seconds).
  • Changed Pet damages to:

Bird: 8-12 damage with 7Penetration (Slash Damage unaltered)
Bear: 18-24 with 6 Penetration(Slash/Piece) and Attack Recovery 4.5 seconds
Wolf: 13-19 with 6 Penetration(Slash/Piece)
Other pets: 10-14 with 6 Penetration (Slash/Piece)

Ranger Rebalance Spells:

  1. Lesser Insect Swarm: 3 Raw Damage / 3.0Sec and Immunity to Concentration for 30 Sec. 1.5m Radius
  2. Nature's Heal: 1.5m AoE 20 Health Points
  3. Minor Moon's Light: 8.0 Health every 3.0Sec for 12.0 Sec
  4. Writhing Tentacles: Summon 3 WrithingTentacles
  5. Explosive Arrow: +5 Acc Ranged PrimaryAttack + 1.5m Burn AoE 25-40 Damage on Impact
  6. Double Shot: Lesser version of TwinnedShot at Power Level 5 with -25% Damage
  7. Added 5 new Hunter passives (+25%damage against enemy type): Beast, Primordial, Spirit, Vessel, Wilder
  8. Added Armor Expertise (-25% Armorrecovery, +1 Crush/Slash/Pierce armor)
  9. Added Predator Strikes (InflictWeaken on Crit)
  10. Added Ranger's Recovery (Restore +1Bond on Kill)
  11. Added Ranger Stances:

Swift Aim: -20% Weapon Recovery, -5Weapon Accuracy, 10% chance to recover instantly on Hit
Vicious Aim: +10 Weapon Accuracy, +20% WeaponDamage, +1 Weapon Penetration, +20 Weapon Recovery

Ranger Sharpshooter:

  • Bonus Hit to Crit conversion when attackingtargets greater than 4m away
  • Bonus Penetration with Ranged Weapons
  • Reduced the deflection penalty to -5
  • Added a +3 Ranged Weapon Accuracy bonus
  • Added a -3 Melee Accuracy bonus
  • Added a +10% Ranged Weapon Damage bonus
  • Improved the range of all ranged weapons(+20% range)

 
Ranger Stalker:

  • Changed distance to be 12m for bothabilities

 
Rapid Cast Improved:

  • Changed from 10% to 25% bonus

Spear Rebalance:

  • Gave spears increased Reach (1.3m)

Rogue Rebalance:

  • Reduced power cost by 1 across the board
  • Added Gunner talent

 
Rogue Riposte 60 Primary Attack: 

  • Changed Riposte to be 60% (from 30%) chance to trigger a Primary Attack (from Full Attack) as requested.

Subclass Unlocked:

  • Unlocked most of the hidden subclasses(choose to not unhide one because I believe it waas never finished)

 
Two-Handed Weapons Rebalance:

  • Improved all Two-Handed weapons (minusQuarterstaff) damage by 20% and added +1 Penetration. Includes Firebrand, Berath's Great Sword and other magical weapons.
  • Improved Arquebus Base Damage to 22-28
  • Changed Savage Attack Modal AccuracyPenalty from -10 to -7 and added a +1 Penetration Bonus
  • Gave Arquebus Aimed Shot a +10% DamageBonus
  • Improved Two-Handed Style to also give a+10% Recovery bonus to all Two-handed weapons (melee and ranged)

 
Weapon and Shield Style Rebalance:

  • Improved Weapon and Shield Style talent to alsogive a +1 Armor bonus when using a shield

Wizard Rebalance:

  • Added 1 bonus spell per rank for specialists to compensate the lack of two schools
  • Changed Summon Familiar duration to 300 sec (from 60)

:: OPTIONAL/REQUESTED FEATURES ::

Barbarian Carnage 66 (Optional): 

  • Changed Carnage damage from 33% to 66% as requested.

Cipher Beguiler Annihilation (Optional)

  • Gives the Soul Annihilation to the Beguiler class as requested

Companion Eder Templar (Optional):

  • Changed Eder classes to Paladin and Priest
  • Paladin has the Kind Wayfarer Subclass
  • Priest has the Eothas Subclass

Culture and Backgrounds Unlocked (Optional):

  • Unlocked most of the Cultures and Backgrounds
  • Left EirGlanfath and Nassitaq out due to lack of Icon
  • Left Midwife out due to lack of Description
  • Could only add 17 backgrounds to each culture due to GUI restriction

Difficulty Settings Path of the Damned (Optional):

  • This conflicts with Dual Wielding Rebalance
  • Changed Path Of The Damned modification values for those that only want more monsters with minimum stat changes:

"HealthMultiplier": 1.25,     (Beta 1.1 patch)
"AccuracyBonus": 5,   (down from 15)
"DefenseBonus": 5,     (down from 15)
"ArmorBonus": 1,         (Beta 1.1patch = 2)
"PenetrationBonus": 1,(Beta 1.1 patch = 2)

Dual Wielding Rebalance (Optional):

  • This conflicts with DIfficulty Settings Path of the Damned
  • Changed untrained Dual Wielding to provide 0% recovery bonus (down to 0% from 30%).
  • Changed the talent to provide 40% recovery bonus to balance the untrained bonus (improved to 40% from 15%).
  • Overall it represents a 5% nerf (from 45% to 40%)

Godlike Rebalance (Optional):

  • Changed attributes to +2 Dex and +2 Int to compensate the lack of Helmet

(Pack) PoE2 Deadfire Tweaks 2.0.0

  1. Current Pack contains all the tweaks (Main + Optional) up to version 2.0.0

 

 

(New v2.0) Ranger Bird Companion Fix (Optional):

  • Fixed the Bird companion being replaced by Ishiza for Gunhawks
  • Conflicts with any mods that changes the  Ranger ability tree/progression table
  • Conflicts with Ranger Rebalance Spells (this is already included there)

(Updated v2.0) Godlike Rebalance (Optional):

  • Spread the original bonuses from this mod for balancing purposes
  • Changed bonuses from +2 Dex and +2 Int to +1 Dex, +1 Int, +1 Con, +1 Perception

(Updated v2.0) Ranger Rebalance Spells:

  • Fixed Hawk companion switching to Ishiza
  • Bird companion can be selected by any subclass (minus Ghost Heart)

(Updated v2.0) Subclass Unlocked:

  • Added the official Priest of Rymrgand

(Updated v2.0) Ranger Stalker:

  • Changed distance to be 12m for both abilities
  • Stalker and Companion new bonuses: 10% Hit to Graze, -10% Hostile duration within 12m

Looks good. I'm definitely going to use this on my next playthrough. Would you be able to renable Shattered Pillar's Wound generation from attack abilities? Also, mods to Holy Radiance (upgrade paths like Aggrandizing Radiance from Pillars 1; bonus based on Priest deity) would help Priests a good deal, imo.

I can look into it.

The Holy Radiance mod might be a little awkward in the new spellcaster format, since you get a "ability point" and would use it to either pick a passive, a new spell, or the upgrade for Holy Radiance during level up.

The mod had a recent update on the nexus (and faster update on Steam Workshop):  Main Features and Companion Classes

The new changes includes new subclasses for Cipher, Ranger and Rogue.

Sweet. Deadfire Tweaks is my favorite POEII mod and I'm glad to see you're updating it. I'm having a blast with Sniper/Sharpshooter(Ghost Heart) for those spicy 19m headshots; and the new melee stance combines well with Stalker. It's really a must for Rangers.

I noticed your upgraded Priest of Eothas doesn't have the spell shaping passive that was introduced in 3.0. Also, also, Berserker no longer takes raw damage when Frenzied - is this intentional?

Thats odd. The only change I made was to remove the hidden Health (special status effect). Everything else is the same as vanilla, including the Raw DoT.

My bad. It looks like the files didn't properly overwrite the older versions when I tested it earlier. Smooth sailing now.

1. Those are the armor penalties for attack speed without the perk and with the perk.

 

2. Only for the main character. For companions you need to use specific mods that changes their classes/subclasses.

Instead of Fighter/Wizard Aloth, how about Paladin (Steel Garotte) / Wizard Aloth? 

 

edit: if you get a chance, a Blood Mage Aloth option would be great too! 

 

further edit: as would a "Trickster" option for Eder  (would like to try him as unbroken/trickster).

Is it at all possible to add to your tweak package that would allow Ciphers to use all their ally only abilities to include self as well?

This mod breathed some life into Deadfire for me, kudos to you! 

Any chance for some extra love for Psion? I feel the subclass lacks "something similar" to Soul Whip upgrades. Maybe an upgrade to the Soul Mind making it more attractive as a solo class? I would love to play Psion single-classed, but their focus regen is so piddly I caught myself just spamming low level spells as anything else would take years to charge. Perhaps a perk that quickly refunds some cost of your last cast? Or, if we are to embrace the spamming, maybe some Power Level boosts for lower power level abilities.

On companion front, I would love ability to make Serafen a Furyshaper!
