Game exits to menu when entering Brass Citadel

Any time I try to enter the map since the patch, the game exits to menu with message "could not load map, exiting to avoid corrupting save".

 

Persists after restart, reboot, and from any direction (including by going directly to a map internal to the brass citadel like the fleet master's office and then exiting).

Would you be able to provide a dxdiag and output.log of the issue, and any crash files that were present so we can look into the problem for you?

Problem is fixed by using steam's "verify game files"
