Ugh, so they make a new Wolfenstein DLC, but it will be multiplayer as well. Just bite it, Bethesda. So much for "save player one" once more. I'm pissed.

The issue as I see it now, is that it mostly starts with small MP addons, and later slowly completely takes over the Single Player portion of the future games, because someone in the upper management starts to feel, that MP might bring more money to the house and sooner or later, we have another Live Service bull**** and one less company, which games I enjoy to play.

I know it is the blackest possible outcome of it, but I’ve seen so much chasing the hypest trend bull****, and not only in gaming, in last few years, that I feel pretty skeptical now.

At least I still have 3 more Yakuzas comming in next few months, to satisfy my grumpy tastes :p

my sweet sweet ffvii remake sony where is it

The FFVII Remake we all wanted will unfortunatelly never happen. Instead we got another action packed Live Service milking machine, like FFXV, but this time with three “seasons” to squeeze even more money from the fans... SE killed the FF franchise as we all knew it for decades.

At least they are still making RPGs like Lost Sphere, Octopath Traveler and Dragon Quest.

FFXV was pretty great, though. I'm not sure about the live service stuff, but it was gigantic as shipped and had a ton of content. I think a lot of the live service stuff was free, too, but I didn't follow it closely after finishing it.

Well they announced a bunch of small MP projects, one big MP project and another big SP game, so ... Y'know. (with TES VI presumably being SP-focused as well) It's not like that statement obliges them to only produce SP games - and as long as I can ignore the MP-focused stuff and great SP games keep coming out, I'll be happy.

FFXV was not very bad game, but it was very very bad Final Fantasy, most of the Live Service stuff is not free, they went with their DLCs full Paradox. What I hate most, is that they put into SP game seasonal “festivals” and stupid leaderboard hunt quests, which are shoved into your face, and for me completely break the immersion.

This picture says it all:

BRB, the link has been broken because my ipad sucks at copying long links...

Oh and compared to all other FFs, the main story line was the shortes one, and full of unfinished and confusing plot holes.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey has made me surprisingly interested of the game and it may become thrid Assassin's Creed game that I actually play through.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 seems interesting, but it seems that it will take 2+ years before it is out, so there is still at least couple E3s to give same statement

I hoped more information about Cyperpunk 2077, as it was 2012 when they announced that they are making it, so even though CD Projekt RED worked mainly on Witcher 3 until 2016, I hoped bit more than that it is Cyperpunk game. Hopeful they will showcase it more behind the scenes and we get more information about it soonish, but I would not be suprised if we need to wait to next year's E3 to learn more. EDIT: they have revealed BTS that game is FP, which isn't my favorite perspective in RPGs, but we will see how well it will work.

First person could work but then don't do stuff like this: "Gameplay is in first a first-person perspective, but switched to third-person during a cutscene." Maybe they'll add the ability to switch, I could get behind that.

Also "You play a character named V (as in the letter)." had me go "Rrrreallly?"

Well... we can only assume that if the character has a name, then it's not likely that we'll be able to create a character. Maybe we'll be able to pick a gender but here's to hoping it's a cool female protagonist as I would be okay with it.

As for FFVII, we don't really know the price of each episode yet so we can't really say it will be "milking" comsumers for their hard earned money. It could be $19.99 per episode or $29.99 these are the likely prices. Or who knows, they may chnge their minds, since they're taking so long they could just release the game as one whole thing after all.

I'm still watching the Ghost Of Tsunami trailer and it comtinues to impress me.

And no, AC Odyssey is not a third person action game, it's an actual rpg with mini-quests, stat building and dialogue stringing/choice. You can loot and dress your character from helmet to sandals. It's basically more rpg's than most rpg's lol The thing that's tricking people into think it's some in of a roman GTAV is the perspective. It's sad when people cannot base a game off the writing and dpt features rather than camera placement but that's the community for ya lol

Welp... E3 again, reminds me how blessed I am to own my console. PS4, Sony, Dualshock 4, welcome to the top of my list again. PC with 1080ti... ummm... it's time you and I had a talk.

Prepare for Splinter Cell and Watch Dogs 3 announcements near the end of the year. The games that nobody asked for but eveeyone will buy anyways - cuz they're so damn good.

Just what do you think you're doing?! You dare to come between me and my prey? Is it a habit of yours to scurry about, getting in the way and causing bother?

What are you still bothering me for? I'm a Knight. I'm not interested in your childish games. I need my rest.

Begone! Lest I draw my nail...

Yeah, it was a stronger E3 than the last couple for certain. There's a few games here that have genuinely interested me and not merely in an "I'll add it to the increasingly unwieldy backburner" sort of way.

Pretty much agree with you.

Games from E3 I'm interested in:

Cyberpunk 2077 - Unlike some others I'm really digging the colorful neon vibe.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD - From Software's crazy over the top mecha action game? Yes, please.

Dragon Quest XI - I'm a sucker for anything DQ.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 -It's Yakuza, nuff said.

Babylon's Fall - Not feeling the trailer, but it's Platinum, they get the benefit of the doubt.

Nioh 2 - The first game was pretty good.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey - I'm as surprised as anyone to be interested in an AC game again. It's been since Black Flag since I've looked forward to one of these.

Metro Exodus - Maybe the closest thing we'll get to another STALKER Call of Pripyat.

Ghost of Tsushima - Looks amazing.

Dying Light 2 - The promise of the awesomeness of the first but with much better story and characters makes me grin from ear to ear.

Ghost of Tsushima has me a bit split to be honest. I like that the game seems to aim for a more historical Japanese setting and how the combat seems to borrow a fair bit from the flow and pace of the chambaras of old (or so it seemed in parts of the presentation), but the dialogue felt really ham-fisted and what with all the AAA gloss I cannot shake the feeling that this reminds me less of Kihachi Okamoto's Sword of Doom for example and more of the Keanu Reeves vehicle 47 Ronin instead. But it's a damn sight better than the likes of Sekiro and Nioh which seem to follow that "fantasy Japan on steroids" aesthetic that was already naff around the time Onimusha came out. And to the best of my awareness they aren't trying to pass this one off as a Kurosawa adaptation. Overall I'm curious about it for certain, but not without some hesitation.

Some of the combat moves in Ghost Of Tsushima were stolen from Mitsurugi (Soul Calibur series) I was able to tell right of the bat :)

The music in the grasslands the other hand was very close to the OST used in The Last Samurai:

Very lovely song if I say so myself - and believe me, I do!

Nah, this is bs. TES6 and stuff is still years away. If you're making a big fuzz about some sort of "save singleplayer" campaign, I'll expect you to actually release singleplayer games... soon and not years in the future.

No matter what people say, the multiplayer feature will always have an impact on the singleplayer part, even if it just means resources have to be split. Seeing people justify Fallout 69 being playable "solo" is hilarious to me, because the whole game will be setup as a grind with pvp. I'm too experienced with this crap to believe it won't be a boring slog if you try to play it alone.
