Out of interest, what quest is this?

I don’t recall receiving it.

The quest in Motare o Kozi

Wait, you mean there's a way to do it, without just murdering everything in the area?

How?

You have to sneak up to the corrupted trees in stealth (use the char with highest stealth on their own) and click them *before* the panthers etc aggro. The game gives various options to heal them, but I think you are supposed to use the Spine of Thicket Green ideally. Then convince the mother to let you heal her in her dialogue.

-edited to add, you prolly have to hold tab to highlight the clickable surface.

You can use a druid to heal them too (doesn't need to be the Watcher). Also it's fine if you aggro something as long as it's not a pwgra. I've healed the grove twice, both times I killed 1 panther that I couldn't avoid because my parties have **** all stealth.

As for what the blessing does: You will be considered marked by nature and the druids in Bentbranch Bog near Sayuko will offer you to ally with them if you pass a 13 diplomacy check. Unsure if druid/ranger Watchers need to bother with getting the blessing or having 13 diplomacy. If you agree to ally with them, there will be a wordy ceremony that makes it sound like you should get some kind of buff but what you get is a bow. After you carry out their request they give you some drugs.

There are some pretty SEVERE consequences for doing their bidding though.

RDC will go hostile and this ship will wait for you at the docks.

Too bad I had already done that. I was wondering how to avoid a fight with those druids.

I'm lookin' fer the magic Girdle of Swank Iron, have ye seen it? Do ye know where a portal ta the 2,817th Plane o' the Abyss might be? Do ye know where the Holy Flamin' Frost-Brand Gronk-Slayin' Vorpal Hammer o' Woundin' an' Returnin' an' Shootin'-Lightnin'-Out-Yer-Bum is?

What's this about RDC going hostile? I completed the quest by healing the bog, and when the captain of said ship demanded the map I could simply point towards my RDC reputation (3 at the time) and he backed down, with other options possibly also allowing you to do the same. I saw it more as a devious captain trying to steal my glory, especially since Maia chimed in to mention him being known as an unscrupulous ass in the RDC ranks.

EDIT:  I somehow failed to realize you were talking about the druid encounter, not Motare O Kozi. Sorry for the mistake.

Yeah, it's just that healing the bog and getting the blessing is a requirement to be able to cooperate with the druids (unless perhaps you are a druid or ranger yourself). I can see the confusion as I just now remembered you're greeted by a RDC ship as you leave Motare o Kozi ^^
