  1. I own the game on Steam and it runs perfectly. I bought the game for a friend via MS Store and it installs, but when they start the game it just says "Oops, something went wrong" and closes. My friend installed the game via Steam (from my account) and it runs perfectly fine on their pc. Honestly, I just want to refund the game on MS and buy it for them on steam, but as I bought a gift code, which is already redeemed, I cannot refund the game on MS Store. If anyone has any more idea on how the fix the MS store installation (yes, we used google and tried every "fix" there was and nothing worked)
  2. So, 40GB is a lot, (like, a whole lot,) but I was just barely able to find the space on the 128GB SSD in my laptop. I installed GOG Galaxy and triiiied to install. That failed. Kind of? Galaxy gave me useless info about it neither being installed nor installable. It seemed roughly the right size, and POE2 would start, but it couldn't start new games. Tried to get help from GOG, but got frustrated and downloaded the offline install files, taking up too much space on the SSD, naturally. So, I cleared out an SD card enough and started to install to it to the SD card. File integrity seems successfully checked. But now, it regularly spams me with flurries of error messages, all the same: Internal error: Expression error 'Runtime Error (at 500:57): Out of string range.' I click these away, expecting install to fail, but it seems to keep going. But it's taken dozens of these errors to get to 15% installed, and I have little to no hope that continuing might be successful. I searched the internet and this forum (which took forever, given the "flood protection".) Couldn't find anything on this. Any ideas what the heck is going on? Attaching my dxdiag.txt. Thanks, tristanofalls DxDiag.txt
  3. Hello fellow Debian users, Ubuntu lovers and Mint freaks! Here you’ll find scripts allowing you to build .deb packages from your GOG-provided MojoSetup installer (.sh) of Pillars of Eternity. You can install them through DPKG and remove them through any APT front-end (apt-get, aptitude, synaptic, etc.). Scripts and usage instructions can be found on the following page: Pillars of Eternity I hope you’ll enjoy the comfort provided by these scripts as much as I enjoy writing and tweaking them
  4. I am trying to install Pillars of Eternity from the CD I purchased specifically from the UK. I have limited bandwidth and don't want to spend days downloading the game. I tried this and followed it to the letter, but it went into downloading mode anyway It was my impression that Steam is supposed to do the DRM for their games and not become a major stumbling block to game play. I tried getting Technical Support from Steam, but they just send me to this forum.
  5. I bought Pillars of Eternity: Champion Edition from Amazon.com because it came on a DVD instead of a download. I have very limited bandwidth, so the DVD media was a paramount issue. I tried to install from the DVD, but the installation immediately switched to a 6GB download. I ran it overnight and it is only 30% downloaded. I tried doing this, but to no avail. Is there a way that I can install from the media instead of a download? Steam is supposed to do the DRM, no be a stumbling block for installation. Please respond with a resolution to this issue.
  6. You confirmed you're going to make the translations so please don't install the game automatically with the language setting from the Operating System, time zone o whatever. I'd like to choose easily to play the game in English. I found annoying to install a game, it's automatically choose one language and I've to fight to change that setting. Just make an splash screen with language selection. Thanks.
