  2. Hi , then i launch the game i have the error " failed to load dx9" and i can't played i have bought the game 3 days ago i dont know what to do !? i have actualy windows 10 and directx12, i have already try to reinstall the game ,check the cache , reinstall directx9 , check my windows update , install direct into the game folder change the compatibility to windows xp but the error is always there! I need some help please ! and sorry for my bad language!
  3. I have a big problem, and I think I know how to solve it but I have too much anxiety to follow through without inquiring here first about potential disappointments. Last weekend I bought this game from Fry's Electronics because I wanted to feel special owning the physical game box even though there's nothing in it except the DVD and a single document which I presume are only for installation purposes. I come home, pop in the disk drive of my Dell XPS L521X and... nothing. I then spend several hours trying to properly re-calibrate and eventually reinstall the 'MAT****A DVDRWBD UJ167' device, but to no avail. Fortunately though the document does contain a PoE 'Steam Key' which I am confident would be exclusive to my copy of the game, however before I proceed to register on Steam (which is a drag tbh).. a) Is it as simple as creating a Steam account, entering the key, then downloading and installing the game through the client? b) If I do install this way, will I be required to launch Steam with the game like Battle.net or something? c) I'm assuming I bought the 'Hero's Edition' equivalent ($30) since all it says is 'Pillars of Eternity' on the box, but could there be any gameplay-related features I'd be missing by changing installation methods? I'm 25 years old. Thanks in advance for replies

  5. When I start the game in steam, I can only click in "New Game". Options two and three stay loading and, during the game, I cannot save game. Please help. O.S: Windows 8.1 Intel i7 4700MQ 2,40 ghz Graphics: Nvidia 740M 1 ghz RAM 4 gb I have tried even updating to new beta 1.04, but still nothing. I have verified cache, unchecked Steam Cloud, but nothing, I cannot save games.
  6. Description: I have a progress just until the Gilded Vale map, but I cannot enter Gilded Vale because the game crashes after the load screen. I tried reinstalling but didn't work. Also, I played until that point with 3 different characters and each time encountered the same problem. I was thinking the problem is caused by my system(being 32 bit). In the 1.4 beta patch notes I saw this problem being mentioned as "fixed" so I gave the beta a try. However, the patch didn't solve it either. Output log and system specs are attached. It doesn't let me attach the saved game saying, "You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file" Thanks. DxDiag.txt output_log.txt
  7. Hi, I have a problem which entirely is preventing me from playing. After a few minutes of playing I can't save game (quick save, normal, auto save - nothing works), and then when I transition to another location I see loading screen for a few seconds and then it is only black screen with mouse and game stop responding. From very beginning I didn't play longer than 5 minutes. I have laptop: Win 8.1 64bit, i7-4700HQ, geforce GTX 870m, 16GB RAM I tried a few solutions like a http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/73912-save-game-fix/ or http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/71813-game-crash/page-4?do=findComment&comment=1601849, nothing helps. 8. (Not sure if this is the right forum page but...) Hi, I'm loving the game even if my computer goes blue screen of death or even just freezes up 1 out of 3 times i play. The issue seems to occur mostly in the character select screen but has it also happen in game at various points. This of course can be due to my computer specs but as fare as i can tell it lives up to your requirements. Is it a known issue or am i just doomed? I would also like to know if it looks like my hardware is up to par? Or if there a conflict with the game? 9. Hello, game working very well - but only in less levels than Goto's yacht. After (and in) this level game keeps falling (crashing) without useful information about problem. 10. Hello guys, i have a problem, altough i searched trough the whole forum, i don't saw the same problem as mine. So, after I reinstall the game several times (crashes, bugs <-NOT THESE ARE THE PROBLEM) and installed the restored content mod + the extra planet (the newest version of the mod). But I needed to restart the game. Befor the mod, I reached Nar Shaddaa (Paragus>Telos>Dantoinee>Nar Shaddaa). So the situation is: i've used a trainer to boost my process till i reach the same place in the game (i know it's a shame, but i restarted the game twice, because the save files were wrong), and now, i'm after Miras mission, to open the sealed gate to let in the main character to VisQuis base. But! After Mira switch to my carachter, i cant kill anybody in the game. It's like their (opponents) statusbar are freezed, i can hit them and i see the points of the hit, but i dont damage them. Another thing is, when i trick the Ubese soldiers, and ran to the direction of the pit door, i see a "vision", Then a loading screen. Then I need to choose a party selection, and kill some Duros,Hk and Gands. But, when a start to walk, the whole map is balck, i dont see anything. Every door are sealed, and not even openable (i dont see the open icon). Im stuck on the main place (Refugee landing pad) on Nar Shaddaa. So I ask for help, because the last thing, what i want to do, is to start the game again. Any advice? Another info Active mods: TSLRCM M4-78EP Patched The Ebon Hawk - HDTP and some mods from the "compatible mods" list like: NPC overhaul mod Ps.: I upload the copy of the trainer, what i've used, and a copy of my save files. 11. I am curious if anyone else had this problem, I bought South Park: Stick of Truth (The Grand Wizard Edition for PC), I did everything it told me to do and still no DLC. I uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing. I did verify the game, I did everything I could and still nothing. :c Can someone please help me? Here's an example of what it looks like: It's registered but not listed/classified, it's confusing- yes, but I'm sure I'm not the only one having this problem. Someone please help. :c - Søvei (Who should I contact? Or maybe they should make a patch to fix this? Release the DLC in the store?)
  12. Win 7, Steam, Digital Download I am now on my fifth play through. In every one so far, either the 'Mouse-Tik' or 'Shoe' Chinpokomon has randomly decided not to be there. This makes it impossible to complete both the, 'Chinpokolypse' and the 'More Popular Than John Lennon' achievements. Reloading, and going back to old saves does NOT fix the problem. I read somewhere that this issue was believed to be caused by using the fast warp. So this time through, I didn't warp at all. It still happened. This time it was the shoe again. Is there a way to prevent this? Is there a way to fix it? Can I force it to pop-up somehow? I have saved the check point, and backed it up. It is saved at the tower, where the shoe normally is. This is very irritating!
  13. I recently bought South Park the Stick of Truth for Steam, when I first launched the game and it was fine. But when I launched it a second time, it tried to create Direct3D again. Can people please tell me how to fix this or if this is a bug that needs to be patched.
  14. Hello! I was hoping someone might have any information that can get my copy of the game to work. I recently sold my xbox and upgraded to the one but realy wanted to play the game So I installed windows xp (i know just had an old key lying around) onto a macbook pro and am having issues getting the DX9 DLL files to register as being found. ; Win32 engine defaults configuration file [Engine.Render] default_brightness = 0.138000 default_contrast = 0.946001 default_gamma = 2.2 default_contrast_range_low = 0.09 full_screen = 1 full_screen_width = 0 ; 0 -> desktop width full_screen_height = 0 ; 0 -> desktop height window_width = 1280 window_height = 720 adapter = -1 ; -1 -> primary shadow_quality = 2 ; 0:25%, 1:50%, 2:100%, 3:200%, 4:300%, 5:400%, 6:800% msaa = 1 support_aspect_ratio_4_3 = true support_aspect_ratio_16_10 = true support_aspect_ratio_custom = true default_display_conversion = box ; box|stretch|crop dist_fade_duration = 0.5 ; time it takes for something to fade once the range is reached dist_fade_in_range = 40.0 ; distance from camera that the object will begin to fade back in at. dist_fade_out_range = 45.0 ; distance from camera that the object will begin to fade out at. s3d_ar_multiplier = 1.3 ; aspect ratio multplier used to adjust the culling frustum for 3D. use_directx_11 = true ; false=DX9, true=DX11 [Engine.Audio] enabled = 1 enable_communication = 1 [Engine.Physics] ragdolls_enabled = 1 [Engine.Input] preferred_device = gamepad [Game.Default] project_name = Onyx npc_chatter_cooldown = 3.0 creature_chatter_cooldown = 4.0 This is the engine data. It looks as if it is trying to use DX11, which I don't even think is installed and ingoring the DX9 files. I've been away from windows for too long to start messing with that so I was wondering if anyone had any idea of what I could do in order to get this game to run properly on XP running on parallels on a mac. Many thanks if anyone has any idea!
  15. Just watched the latest gameplay footage from the Trailer and im shocked nobody seem to notice this: Attack Spells direct targeting an npc look like they go through characters without any noticeable "impact" animation, it looks like the "projectile" just vanishes inside or even under the target. End. Horrible. Really horrible... Please fix that. In the moment the "projectile" hits the target there needs to be an impact animation. BG2 at least had it. Same concern about physical hits, not every taken hit needs to have a shaking impact reaction on the character, but sometimes there should be, like in BG2, at the very least i would wish you add some "bloodspill" when a character gets hit by a physical attack like...something happened. Thanks for reading, suggesting or planning.
  16. Hi there. This is my issue with the following game. I Can't Play the Star Wars KOTOR 2 properly because the game crashes after running it, more precisely when after the character creation, I press Start button. After the intro of story The system just says that an error has occured but nothing else, and sometimes just crash without error window. I can hear some sound at start but can't see anything, then the screen turns green with yellow weird pixelated colors and a lagged or stucked repetitive sound (seems). Then I press enter and the game closes (some times without error message). What can I do to fix this issue? Thank you. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 7/21/2012, 23:12:15 Machine name: HOGAR-48EFD63A8 Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_qfe.100216-2016) Language: Spanish (Regional Setting: Spanish) System Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
