  1. In Fort Deadlights, simply scrolling the camera over the area that on the map is labeled "To Forge" causes not just the game to crash, but appears to also cause my video device drivers to crash. The device driver then recovers (which involves the screen flashing black briefly), and about half the time the game simply crashes and shuts down. The other half the game is still sort of running, but the visuals are completely whited out. Though you can still hear sound effects and, seemingly continue clicking on the ground and objects. You just can't see anything. At first, I thought that my video card drivers, which I hadn't updated in a while, were to blame. But even after updating them, rebooting, and then turning all of the game's video settings down, the problem persists. Of note, I tend to play the game in a window, if that might matter. Attached is the the save game that is closest, simply scrolling up and left along the stairs from the starting point is enough to cause the crash. Also attached is the output_log file and the DxDiag.txt for my computer. There was a crash file in the Pillars of Eternity II directory, but as it is a 2gig file somehow, and I have crappy DSL internet, uploading that is pretty unlikely to ever happen. I assume the problem is some weird interaction between my graphics card/drivers and the game, but damned if I have any idea how to fix the problem. It's a shame, because I was really enjoying the game right up until this point. Edit: Looks like the attachment didn't actually attach because of the ridiculously small max size, link to the attachment: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l0y6cotv2sxa8ez/Bug%20Report.zip?dl=0
  2. This has been an ongoing issue since I purchased the game. The latest patch to the game or the newest GPU driver has not fixed the issue. I thought I'd post an update with a save game where it occurs 100% of the time. If you load this save and then **** around in some inventory menus or try and level up and take too long, it is a black screen driver crash every time. The only way I've made it as far into the game as I have is rushing through all my menu navigation and often closing and saving in-between since I have to repeat a lot. I have experienced roughly 50-60 crashes since I first started the game. I am still trucking along but I am close to throwing in the towel. https://drive.google.com/open?id=13DXaP98vExj51_4xPRTfMnDJTGy_-pFD I can't attach my save file because of size limitations so its in the google link. Hopefully this can be fixed someday so I can actually enjoy this game instead of it being an exercise in frustration. DxDiag.txt
  3. This has happened twice now. Crash log at http://ennui.org/crash.txt
  4. http://ennui.org/crashlog.txt http://ennui.org/autosave_0.savegame I was trying to resize the combat log window.
  5. This game crashes. A lot. I'm yet to discover what causes the constant crashes, for they occur in a variety of situations, such combat, entering or exiting a map or just walking across Neketaka. The game freezes, then crashes. Several perfomances issues make the game completely unstable. I play saving every 3 minutes, just waiing to a crash, I love this game and want to keep playing, this just need to be fixed. The Crash Logs ate atached. PoE II.zip
  6. I experienced my first crash when trying to leave the map where you fight Meryel the Mad. I couldn't reproduce the crash. I've attached the crash folder that was created. 2018-06-21_174632.zip
  7. Experienced a crash when exiting the Engwithan Arena (1st ruins) heading to the world map. Crash log attached + save file.
  8. Crash after dream sequence with gods discussing what to do about Eothas. First sequence after leaving starting region on ship. "PillarsOfEternityII.exe caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005) in module PillarsOfEternityII.exe at 0033:fef4fce5." output_log.txt DxDiag.txt
  9. So, yeah title says it all. I played last night and everything was mostly fine except for the combat memory leak. When I tried to start it up today after patching, the game doesn't even start up. Just gets a message window saying the game crashed and telling me to send the crash info folder to the developer. output_log.txt DxDiag.txt
  10. Hi there, Experiencing lots of crashing to desktop while going into or out of the buildings in Periki's Overlook. Some crash output logs and system specs in the attached zip. Thanks, Crash.zip
  11. Hi there, I want to report a bug i experiment three times yesterday. Description When an event triggers a series of chain explosions like Maia shooting barrel of black powder, well, my computer shutdown and restart ... Steps to Reproduce the Issue - Go to Hasongo (there are many barrels of black bowder) - Shoot barrels group of black bowder with Maia. - I begin to see and listen the explosion but then my computer shutdown and reboot. Savegames i'll add it later. Output log i'll add it later. System specs i'll add it later.
  12. Randomly, while playing the game, the game crashes. This has happened during startup and in the game while moving from place to place. The game crashes and I get a pop-up telling me it would be nice for me to send a crash file to the developer. As this seems to be completely random, there are no specific steps to reproduce this. I've uploaded the crash folder. Was not allowed to uploaded the savegame file. crashfolder.zip
  13. My game crashed at the end of the conversation with the gods, after leaving Port Maje for the first time and heading towards the next main quest location. Game recommended sending the crash files to the devs, so here they are.
  14. i wana play the game!!! Crash and bluiscreen every 30 minutes ~ 1hour since 05.08 I'm tired and I hate to play I've done everything I can to search and try. Pillars of Eternity II.zip
  15. Description: The game crashes with no obvious reason. I have experienced crashes while in the level up menu, in combat, and out of combat. I don't believe I have experienced a crash while in the world map, but I've had so many that there might have been one that I forgot about. Steps to Reproduce the Issue: I do not know how to cause the crashes for the most part. The first 2 folders containing the crash.dmp and output log I will be uploading is from a combat encounter that I have managed to get 2 crashes in a row from. Important Files: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hmxkzdsukg0ubsb/AACqxmcpwzJ_1YHDKtl7u2-Ua?dl=0 The crash folders for all of the crashes I have had are provided. Additionally, for the two latest crashes, the ones in folders named "2018-05-14_220446" and "2018-05-14_221040" I have provided a save file where I have crashed twice during the same combat encounter. A DxDiag.txt is also provided.
  16. With the latest patch I can't do anything. Attempting to start a new game results in a black screen, and then back to the main menu with this message "Error loading next map, returned to main menu to prevent corruption". This is a huge problem, basically has made the game useless.
  17. Crash in jungle on island with Flame Naga in Deadfire. Crash report: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ninpoztk9lrszyg/AAByuNrTsXrsgb95uPaS7H78a?dl=0
  18. Crash log folder is too large to attach. It can be accessed at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/as8uhfbnl0n7q0t/AADRqLhWBTB4MHGCaVPmGOswa?dl=0
  19. I've been doing a re-play of the first Pillars with the intention of playing the second game again, but the game seems to be crashing a lot this time, especially (but not exclusively) when loading a new area. When I close the program and try to re-open the game, I get a message telling me the game has crashed, and I need to re-start my computer to play again. I re-installed the entire game recently and have verified the files on Steam. I've turned off the Steam overlay too. output_log.txt output_log.txt output_log.txt output_log.txt
  20. At the Poko Kohara ruins, if I approach the pack of Desert Wurms from the southeast, the game engages in combat, and then about 2-3 rounds into combat crashes completely. I've attached the crash file.
  21. whenever I try to level up a character the game crashes. I've been playing for 14 hours, and haven't had this problem before. I did however used to have a bug where the game would crash randomly, that seemed to be fixed by adding "-force-d3d12' to the launch options. I've installed the latest Gpu driver and verified the game files integrity.
  22. Description: The game crashed when I tried to travel to Old City using the lift. After that, I restarted the game and was able to travel with no issue so I don't think that the bug is so critical but I hope that this report will help to make the game better. Steps to Reproduce the Issue: I wasn't able to reproduce the issue. Important Files: - Savegames Unfortuately, there is no save game left, it was a quick save that has been already overwritten. Output Log Attached to this post. Crash Output Attached to this post. System Specs DxDiag report attached to this post. Screenshots - DxDiag.txt 2018-06-05_215334.zip
  23. Hello there, I've just bought PoE and was full of anticipation. But after creating my character, the game keeps crashing.. It crashes to desktop a few seconds after loading a savegame - I couldn't play further than to the first wolf. This happens with the "game is not responding" message. I already verified the game files via steam and observed the takes manager while "playing": CPU won't go higher than 50%, memory won't go higher than ~1,2 GB. The video card driver is up to date. I attached my system specs and the output log (should be playable with windows 10 64bit). Does anyone know a way to solve this? What I've seen so far lets me really wanna play this game.. output_log.txt DxDiag.txt
  24. 3 times in a row now when I investigate the Old Battleground on the south-western part of the Isle of Tikawara (after shocking the creature away from the southern-most event) I get a crash. I saved after shocking the creature, loaded, and investigated the Old Battleground again and didn't get a crash. Could also have been a fluke that I didn't crash cus of that. 2018-05-18_175348.zip
  25. So, I go today, I buy all the expensive upgrades for my ship, and set off for endgame. Everything seems well- we make it through the storm, we land on Ukaizo, and we do all the dialogue with the Guardian. I haven't had a ton of technical difficulties with the game -some freezes here and there- but nothing my PC couldn't fix itself. Changing some of the graphics settings helped. However, and every time I go into this fight, the game crashes on me. I've got bout 6 error folders in my game directory that I can't puzzle out for the life of me, but I've done it enough that I have a few guesses as to what's happening. My theory is that something spawned in this fight the game simply cannot handle. Is it the Guardian? The giant Adrat? Who knows. I have actually managed to take everything in the fight down, had my party get the level up from the XP gained, and then have the game crash, but it usually crashes within five minutes of the fight, sometimes before my party has managed to knock anything down. I'm tearing my hair trying to figure out just what I can do to fix this. Help! [i'm not sure which of the three files to attach, so attaching the Error.log]
