  1. the final savegame directory name of linux and windows is different (the linux one has no spaces) but when steam syncs your savegames it puts the in the directory named for the last platform you played on... you can manually copy the files from the incorrectly named (for the platform) directory to the correctly named one, but it's a pita. this happens in both directions, play on linux sync on windows and play on windows sync on linux. thanks.
  2. I'm not sure if this normal. I have (normally) very good internet and my pre-load of the game only took about 20 minutes. But now it's telling me that before I can play I have to update the game and it'll take OVER A DAY! ??? Is this because everyone is trying to update the game at the same time? It's a shame I can't play it ASAP, considering I pre-ordered and pre-loaded the game.
  3. Steam Uplay GOG As always, please send a PM PS Please don't ask if I have something not listed here
  4. I've bought Pathfinder Adventures on Steam when it was released. Owned the Android version for some time already, so I've synced my accounts with Android one being the main account. I then redeemed Pathfinder Ambassador rewards on Steam, and everything seemed to be synced perfectly - parties, progress, purchases. The only thing not working properly is the "Rise of the Goblins" campaign. In my Android account it's shown as not bought (price is shown in store, "Buy" button is white). Yet I have access to Goblin skins and characters - same as in my Steam account. I can even start a "Rise of the Goblins" campaign - but it won't sync between accounts. Valeros's Tale, bought through Steam, appears as "bought" on Android too - and this adventures syncs normally.
  5. Hi! I bought yesterday the new Valeros campaign on steam but I can't play it on my android. As if have merge my 2 accounts I expected that my dlc will be shared. Is it normal or not? Thanks
  6. Now that the game is available on Steam, does anyone know of any plans to release it on GoG as well? Would be interested in using this more customer friendly platform (aka. I'm interested in owning the game I bought). Thanks
  7. Hi I bought the the game today with the obsidian edition but when I want to login I doesn't do anything, I already verify and redownloaded it but i doesn't work. I also tried to use without steam but it only said wait until i got internet connection. Thanks anyway
  8. Recently bought Steam version, but game run only in offline mode. What platform are you on? Stream/Android/iPad, etc. - Steam What version of the OS are you running? Android 4.4, iOS 9.3, etc. - Windows 7 What model is the device? Galaxy Tab 3, iPad Mini 4, etc. - PC. - 2.6 Ghz CPU - 2 GB Ram - Radeon HD3650 (512MB) What is your PFID#? (Located in the settings menu) - Game don't show it. Only "PFID-". But i found some info in windows registry like "License-ID", may be it help. When you launch the game, does the welcome popup appear for Game Center/ Google Play Games? - I'm launch on PC. Welcome message sometimes not appers and sometimes show that... On the main screen, what is the text displayed in the blue box at the top? (Logged into GooglePlayGames, Logged into Game Center, or Link Social Gaming Network) - Image above
  9. I only own the Steam version and the Login Button doesn't do anything. I have internet connection, but the button is completely unresponsive. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What platform are you on? Steam What version of the OS are you running? Windows 10 Home What model is the device? Intel® Core i7-4702MQ CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.19GHz 64-Bit Operating System, x64-Based Processor What is your PFID#? VER-953-20170614 PFID- Login Issues When you launch the game, does the welcome popup appear for Game Center/ Google Play Games? No. On the main screen, what is the text displayed in the blue box at the top? Link Social Gaming Network (though this button also does nothing)
  10. I recently purchased a copy of Pillars of Eternity off of Amazon. I love the game by the way and am now trying to buy the expansions. The problem I'm having is the PC version I bought came with CDs but no CD key (I assume this is normal as the packaging looked legit, it was sealed and the game worked). It appears that the expansions are fully on Steam i.e. no disks but my retail version is not recognized by Steam and Steam will not sell me the expansions without it. I've tried contacting Steam to no avail about getting my copy recognized. They say without a CD key there is nothing they can do. How do I get CD keys or Steam to acknowledge the game without having to buy another copy?
  11. I hope this is the right subforum to ask this? I am unsure which is the best platform to take PoE from... Would prefer the hardcopy version, but apparently producers/developers and modders alike don't like DVDs that much anymore (my BG:EE dvd can't get an update past 1.xx for example, and some mods for Planescape have a hard time working with the DVD version). So I wonder whether the hardcopy version has some kind of disadvantage over Steam or GoG and vice versa. Like updates or version-unique bugs etc. Thank you for upcoming info ^^
  12. Dear Dev, Please dont use Paradox as your publisher. Their pricing policy is atrocious. Recently citing the "possbile growth of" purchasing power, they increased the price of all games they published for Obsidian by almost 50% on steam. Pillars of Eternity went up from CNY 122 to CNY 185, the ultimate version costs CNY 412 ($99.99) from CNY 248($59,99), a 66% increase. https://steamdb.info/sub/107937/ And the price of tyranny went up as well, from CNY 122 to CNY 185, effectively rendering my 25% off coupon mote. The price hike is not limited to one region. It happened across a wide range of markets like Brazil, China, Russia, Turkey, etc. But in reality, the economy has not been kind for most people in these countries. I dont mind paying a bit more for your game if it is meant to be this way in the first place. I love your games from the days before obsidian even existed and I've purchased almost all of them on steam and promoted them among my friends actively. Be it Pillars of eternity, Tyranny or even classic games like Fallout: New vegas, etc. It is just not popular that the price of a game increases after one year without any real reasoning or action, since most game price would remain the same or even drop over time. I understand people need money to live or to make great games. and if need be, I will gladly support you guys in a new crowdfunding campaign. TL; DR: I fear the pricing policy of publisher like Paradox will actually hurt your sales.
  13. What is Brigador? Brigador is a fast-paced isometric game where you control a vehicle and virtually blast your way through enemies and towns in a futuristic post-apocalyptic/cyberpunk setting. Everything is destructable in Brigador, thanks to a unique custom engine. The game uses sprites and projects a never-before-seen lighting system that is sure to impress. There are currently over 80 vehicles to pilot. *Fallout type power suits *Akira style bikes *Gyros *Killdozers *Soccermom minivans because why not? *Old school and futuristic tanks *Hovercrafts to killdozers *Mini mechs with cloaking *Giant mech-warriors too! *Many more vehicles BRIGADOR IS SET TO RE-LAUNCH IN JUNE 2017! Why is it relaunching? It's not because it's a bad game, it's actually a phenomenal one but there was a lot of mistakes that were made in marketing and that hurt the game to be the success it should have. Ratings on Steam are at 97% if that says anything. What will the relaunch consist of? Of course you're going to see this game on the front store page of Steam (again) but also the game will be recieving a huge content update. New pilots, new missions, new lore, new pilots, new everything! For those who already own Brigador, you'll be getting this HUGE content update for free http://store.steampowered.com/app/274500
  14. I hope you can help me! I do own this game since July and couldn't hardly play it at all until now! The problem is again and again that the load-button for my savegames is greyed out. In the past it has worked when I have restarted the game a few times again. This method and all other solutions suggested in this forum do not work for me anymore! Not only that I have spent money to be able to play this game, also nobody of Obsidian couldn't help me with this problem! They told me to try it in this forum. You are my last hope! It was often suggested to delete the "LocalLow" oder "LocalTenp" folders. These folders are not created on my PC. At least I can not find them. I do play on steam, using Windows 7 64 bit. I really hope you can help me, since I loved this game so much!! Best ChrisHinrich
  15. To whom it may concern, Regardless of my hesitance to post (after seeing the... low response rate of actual developers or Obsidian staff members), I guess I'm writing this down anyway. I speedrun games - it's a hobby and passion of mine, and has been for several years. I have run many games, worked with developers of several of these games, and even had the opportunity to attend Summer Games Done Quick 2016, a charity event that raised quite a lot of money for Doctors Without Borders, a non-profit organization that focuses on bettering the amount of medical care in places where it would otherwise be impossible to receive medical attention. Regardless of all the rambling, I love it. I recently came across a route for South Park: The Stick of Truth in which it is theoretically possible to finish the game in under one hour and 15 minutes (in a perfect run). You can see a video of said route here (standard Youtube link). In the run, however, we utilize several... unintended effects in order to beat the game as fast as we possibly can. Sadly, however, Obsidian, as of any Build Version higher than 1353, removed many of these (let's call them what they are) exploits we make use of in the run. Even worse, possibly, is the fact that anyone who wishes to learn/run SP: TSoT simply cannot without having access to the game's previous versions (anything pre-1353). This is my question: are there any methods, legal of course, in which players, who wish to do so, may "downpatch" their game to previous build versions to allow speedruning at the highest level? I can understand if this is not a high-priority question, or even irrelevant. Developing games is a hard thing to do, and appealing to everyone is damn-near impossible. I just wanted to ask before I give up on running the game due to this unfortunate but uncontrollable situation.
  16. Here is the screenshot http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=414668507 All the menu items is "Missing gui xxx" (xxx is a random number), I have done the normal verifying the content integrity route, all ok. How can I solve this issue?
  17. I have written up a guide up on this wiki http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Knights_of_the_Old_Republic_II_%E2%80%93_The_Sith_Lords It lists all the fixes, patches and essential mods for both the Steam and Retail versions of KOTOR 2. It's completely user-editable, so if you discover something new add it in (no account required), or write up here and I'll add it in!
  18. You know when that little window opens up and shows the objects that you can take and there is a "Take All" button, is there any shortcut for that to just press a button and it takes all instead of moving over the button with the mouse and click the button ?! Thanks, A
  19. Yesterday I saw that the patch had been released and saw steam downloading the patch. When the patch was done I decided to start the game. For a few seconds, a white window opened that said Pillars of Eternity and then the whole computer froze. I restarted the computer and tried it again. Same result. I verified the game cache, same result. Today I decided to re-install the whole game to see if that fixes the issue. I clicked play, the white window came up again. And then it froze. I can't get any dxdiag from what I know but I have a speccy screenshot of my computer specs.
  20. Hi there, Recently picked up Pillars of Eternity again after not playing for a while, and noticed I haven't received a single Steam achievement regardless of meeting the criteria for multiple of them. Is there a way to fix this? Steam seems to be tracking play time and all that properly, just no achievements. Thanks, Snaptic
  21. Update by Josh Sawyer, Project Director and Brandon Adler, Lead Producer Hey, everyone. After two and a half years, we're happy that you're finally going be able to get your hands on Pillars of Eternity. It's been a great pleasure to work on a traditional PC RPG again and it wouldn't have been possible without your interest, support, and feedback. We hope that playing Pillars of Eternity gives you the same feelings you had when you played the Infinity Engine games. Many of you have told us how much these games have meant to you over the years. It's always been our goal to recapture that experience as well as we can. We've worked hard to provide you with a beautiful world to explore, flexible systems that allow you to build all the characters and parties you can dream up, and a rich story that responds to the choices you make. Nothing can replace the Infinity Engine games, but we hope Pillars of Eternity is a worthy successor to that heritage. Thank you again for all you have done. -Josh Sawyer Kickstarter Tiers and Special Editions Due to popular demand we have created special Kickstarter Backer editions on both Steam and GOG. These editions match the retail versions of the Hero, Champion, and Royal editions, but they come with a few extra Kickstarter goodies. When you go onto your Products page on the Backer Portal you will see which Kickstarter edition was granted to your Kickstarter tier. This was done so that people could download their rewards in multiple places. Unfortunately, we were unable to map every tier perfectly. We have many tiers, many different combinations of add-ons, and only a few Kickstarter editions. Don't worry, though, because if your Kickstarter edition doesn't come with a reward you should be getting for your Kickstarter tier you can download it from the Backer Portal. In fact, the Backer Portal is the official way to download your rewards - we will always have them available for you on the Portal. If you would like to see what products come with your Backer tier you can find that information by going to your Orders page on the Backer Portal. If you expand your order you can click on the "What does this include?" link to see all of your rewards associated with the order. Steps to Redeem Your Items All of the steps outlined below have assumed that you have set up your account and confirmed your pledge. If you have questions about confirming your pledge, please read through our previous update on how to do so. If you follow these steps below, you will able to redeem your rewards: Head to the Backer Portal and go to your My Products page. Each entry on the Products tab is a reward that you can redeem. Depending on your tier you may have many different types of products to redeem. Let's start with redeeming a game code for your platform of choice. First step in redeeming the key to your copy of the game is to click on the game's entry to expand it. Once expanded click on the "Choose Platform" button to bring up a menu where you can select your preferred platform. We offer the choice between Steam and GOG. Once you have selected your platform you can press "Generate Key" to create a download key. Note that once you have generated a key for a platform it may not be changed in the future. Choose wisely. After your game key is generated you will be given instructions on how to redeem the key in your platform of choice. If you are redeeming a different type of reward, a PDF of the Campaign Almanac, for example, the process is the same. Expand the product entry and click the button to download the reward. And that's it. Using the processes described above you will be able to generate game keys and download all of your available rewards. As more rewards are finished, like the documentary, they will appear on your list of rewards to redeem. You may download your rewards as much as you like, but there is a short time limit on each link that is generated by the Backer Portal. If you are attempting to download from an old link, it is best to generate a new one by going through the process above. Documentary and Novella As most of you know we will be releasing the documentary and the novella after we release the game. For the documentary, this was to ensure that you could view the full journey of Pillars' creation - including the release of the game and launch party, and for the novella, that it is done at the highest quality for Backers. Both of these items will not be available on the Backer Portal initially, but once they are released you will be able to download them like any other reward. Printed Rewards If you are not getting the printed Strategy Guide and Collector's Book, but you would like one, you still have a chance to purchase them. Dark Horse - Collector's Guide We partnered with Dark Horse to bring you the Pillars of Eternity Collector's Book. Where the Prima Strategy Guide will be your go-to companion for all your walkthrough and strategy needs, the Collector's Book is there to satisfy the most hardcore lore enthusiasts. Whether your pledge included a physical copy or a digital copy, the Collector's Book is something we're sure you'll be happy with. We're very proud of it and we think Dark Horse did an amazing job bringing it to life. The content of the book covers everything you would want to know about the world of Eora. Among the many informative chapters, you'll find detailed information on the people and gods, as well as the history of the Eastern Reach and recent events. There's even a detailed bestiary explaining the origins and habits of Eora's creatures. It's available for order from a variety of online retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Random House. Prima Games - Collector's Edition Strategy Guide We've been hard at work collaborating with Prima Games on the strategy guide for Pillars of Eternity. The folks over at Prima Games are not only working on creating the awesome Digital Guide for you Backers, but will also be releasing a beautifully printed copy of the guide. Pillars of Eternity is a big RPG, and Prima Games is working to make sure that every inch of our huge game world is covered. The guide will include: Main Quest: A comprehensive walkthrough of the main story. Side Quests and Tasks: An easy reference to all side quests. Atlas: Maps for all critical locations in the vast world of Eora. Training: How to create a character and expertly assign points to attributes and skills. Achievements, Secrets, and exclusive bonuses. The guide will also feature a Thank You section. If you pledged at a tier that included getting your name in the game's credits, you'll also find yourself featured here! As an added plus, all physical copies of the guide will include an access code for a free digital guide, viewable on any connected device. If you missed out on pledging for the strategy guide, the Collector's Edition Guide is a great option for getting all the tips and tricks you'll need for your journey through Eora. To grab your copy of the Collector's Edition Strategy Guide head here. That's it, everyone. We really appreciate everything you have done for us. Now go redeem your game keys and be prepared to get sucked into Pillars of Eternity.
  22. I have Gog version of the vanilla game. ( Pillars of Eternity - Kickstarter Champion Edition) I recently re-installed it and figured it'd be time to get the two expansions. Clicked Buy expansions via the game client and proceeded to do just that. To my shock horror, I realize I had just bought Steam Keys for my GoG version. I realize this is a lapse from my part, should have been more careful. It didn't occur to me that store used would be so relevant here. That said, I don't consider it overly awesome how my Gog- version of game links to Paradox- store that sells Steam-only codes. There is a bit of a should-not-be present in that chain I say. Anyone have any suggestions? Recon there is something I, or Obsidian Customer Support, or Paradox can do to help me out here?
  23. Hello everyone! Update 02/05/2016: Adding additional changes with the new beta build (957). Pillars of Eternity 3.0 beta patch is now live on Steam! The 3.0 Update comes with a ton of changes, bug fixes, and new features. We need your help in looking over everything to make sure that the community is happy with the direction of some of these changes. If you are able, we would really appreciate that you opt into the Beta patch and supply feedback here in the forums. As always, you guys are what helps to make Pillars of Eternity the best game it can be. Please make sure you leave [3.0.XXX Beta] as a tag in the title and please take the time to read "How to Report an Issue" here. Feel free to check out the patch notes! We are constantly updating the patch notes as we have fixed quite a few things and it takes time to update the page. Thanks everyone! I look forward to see what you guys can find and come up with!
  24. Have found a bug with wizard grimoire switching in the recent beta patch (Feb 5). After the patch, wizard grimoires in quick item slots seem to be invisible and unselectable, meaning that my wizards can no longer switch grimoires in combat. If a grimoire is the only item in the quick item slots, the bag icon is NOT greyed out but mousing over it reveals an empty background plate. Adding extra items makes those items available, but still no grimoire, not even an empty space. Very annoying I must say. Tried everything to fix it. Started a new game, same problem. Messed around with graphics settings, reloaded old saves, even reinstalled the game from scratch, but nothing has brought my grimoires back I'm playing on an early 2011 Macbook Pro (I know, I know) running OSX 10.11. Previously had an issue with summoned weapons (having a summoned weapon in hand deleting quick item grimoires when clicked). The previous beta version seemed to fix it, but the most recent has messed it up again. This is the only significant and persistent bug I've run into in ~90 hours of play across multiple versions aside from the grimoire deleting one. Now I'm afraid I'll have to stop my playthrough until the next patch as grimoire switching is so integral to my playstyle (I like to be prepared. Real prepared). Really loving the experience so far and I hope that this issue is resovled so I can get back to it.
  25. I have a big problem, and I think I know how to solve it but I have too much anxiety to follow through without inquiring here first about potential disappointments. Last weekend I bought this game from Fry's Electronics because I wanted to feel special owning the physical game box even though there's nothing in it except the DVD and a single document which I presume are only for installation purposes. I come home, pop in the disk drive of my Dell XPS L521X and... nothing. I then spend several hours trying to properly re-calibrate and eventually reinstall the 'MAT****A DVDRWBD UJ167' device, but to no avail. Fortunately though the document does contain a PoE 'Steam Key' which I am confident would be exclusive to my copy of the game, however before I proceed to register on Steam (which is a drag tbh).. a) Is it as simple as creating a Steam account, entering the key, then downloading and installing the game through the client? b) If I do install this way, will I be required to launch Steam with the game like Battle.net or something? c) I'm assuming I bought the 'Hero's Edition' equivalent ($30) since all it says is 'Pillars of Eternity' on the box, but could there be any gameplay-related features I'd be missing by changing installation methods? I'm 25 years old. Thanks in advance for replies
