  1. Hi so for the quest I have to obtain all four notes to open cragholdt's door. The only note I'm missing is Pelden's - I saw it when I was looting his body but somehow it disappeared from my inventory and stash. Basically I'm stuck without this note. I've looted his body completely, I can't click on his corpse anymore. Help?
  2. I prepurchased the Champion Edition on GOG.com with the understanding that there would be upgrade options at a later time to the higher tiered editions. Nearly a year later the promised upgrade options are still not available despite availability on Steam. My intention was to buy the game, and a month or so later to buy the Royal upgrade. But that has not materialized yet and my question is: What gives? Why are you keeping money out of your own pocket? I am not the only person on GOG.com who wanted to upgrade their purchase, was told it would be an option, and then got stuck waiting. I'm not spending another $60 (Champion Edition) or $90 (Royal Edition) for a game I already paid $45 for. So What gives? If I read it right, Steam has the upgrade pack options, so why screw over the GOG crowd? Is it because we are fewer in number? I don't understand the mentality. Is it too hard to release upgrade options (for out of game goodies at that) for a game on the GOG platform? What is going on here? Thanks for your time.
  3. So Josh Sawyer posted this poll Twitter recently, but Twitter poll durations are limited to 7 days max. I thought I might put the same question to the Obsidian community. My own opinion is that it would make a lot of sense to leverage Obsidian's existing relationship with Paizo to release a Pathfinder-compatible PoE setting sourcebook. That said, , and a significant amount of that thought went toward addressing perceived balance issues in games like DnD 3.5e and Pathfinder. It'd be a shame not to preserve that spirit in a tabletop adaptation - PoE is more than just its setting, after all.
  4. Hi, I want to change the limit for the amount of custom adventurers you can hire (currently set to 8 in vanilla). I found the script that sets this value and I am able to read it with some free software that can decompile it, but I am unable to change the value and save or recompile the script to make the adjustment I want to make in game. Is this at all possible? If so, how do I do it? (PS: sorry if this is a noob question, I'm new to modding scripts)
  5. Hello everyone, Recently, when I want to play Pillars of Eternity, the game crashes when I try to travel to another destination outside Elms Reach. I think the problem exists ever since I've updated my OS to Windows 10 - because I almost played the whole game trough without a problem on Windows 7. I've uploaded all my files here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/pl4nb3mgzuyoe9l/AAA07uNi9fNggEidznTT-Y5la?dl=0 Thanks so much, it would mean a lot of me to get back to playing Pillars, I really love the game and just recently bought both add ons. Cheers, Bolle

The White March - Part II brings an epic conclusion to the Watcher's story in the White March. If you need to get more hyped up, check out the awesome release video below. What's New?In addition to bringing closure to The White March storyline, The White March - Part II introduces many new areas, spells, abilities, and soulbound items. You can see some of these spells and abilities in action by watching the video below. The 3.0 Update is also now live. 3.0 introduces many new features that everyone (whether they have the expansion or not) can enjoy. If you would like to learn more about these features, just watch our Update 3.0 New Features video by heading over here. You can also look at the update's current change list by visiting Obsidian's Community Blog. Another important addition in The White March - Part II is our new barbarian companion, Maneha. Maneha meets the player in the village of Stalwart, where she's searching for clues about the Abbey of the Fallen Moon, a mysterious, ancient temple to Ondra. She's been a mercenary, a pirate, a pilgrim, and a treasure-hunter, but most recently, she's become a Giftbearer, a member of an Ondrite order dedicated to helping the faithful forget the secrets that haunt them. If you would like to learn more about Maneha, take a look at her preview video here. Redeeming the ExpansionFor those of you that may not have redeemed your expansion key, please read through this thread on the Obsidian forums. It will give you full details on how you can redeem all of your rewards, including the expansion. The key that you will be given is for an Expansion Pass that will unlock both parts of the expansion. Kickin' it Forward: Mind's Eye Theatre: Werewolf The Apocalypse We're big fans of the World of Darkness, particularly the classic Vampire: The Masquerade & Werewolf: The Apocalypse settings! Our friends at By Night Studios are putting out a new edition of the Mind's Eye Theatre: Werewolf The Apocalypse live action role-playing game, so that fans who want to be able to have vampires & werewolves fully battle it out like never before, now finally can! They've recently hit their funding goal, but have some really cool stretch goals; including never before released Werewolf tribe pins and battle Klaives! So break out your claws, fangs and check it out! That's it for now. Now get into the White March!

I will be streaming WM2 in around 2,5 hours (7:30 pm GMT+1) http://www.twitch.tv/killyox/ So feel free to jump in, talk about the game or anything else for that matter and lets enjoy it together. I may talk in English and Polish a bit depending on who's watching. Be sure to chat and don't be shy about it! After I saw the Eyeless I thought "Damn I will get my ass handed to me on live...". And that's most likely the case! What's my party comp? Merc Barb (out when I get new companion!) Pallegina Durance Devil of Caroc Zahua My sweet Wizard :D Why do I post this here? Because I want to play the game and enjoy it with other people at the same time duh! More followers wouldn't hurt either. I recently started Streaming and YT channel. PS if it so happens that someone would give a donation (hell if I know why ) 50% of it goes to charity. I will be doing a review of White March p2 on YouTube around 20-21st of February too. PS I will be streaming for about 4-5 hours
  8. Update by Brandon Adler, Lead Producer Hey, everybody. We have lots of cool Pillars of Eternity news for you today. Everything from our Update 3.0 Beta to a last chance to get your very own copy of Lords of the Eastern Reach. Last chance at Lords of the Eastern Reach! As most of you know, Lords of the Eastern Reach is a card game from Zero Radius Games that is based on the Pillars of Eternity license. The game had a successful Kickstarter last year and Zero Radius Games is about to send the game for printing. If you didn't get a chance to put in an order, but want to get your hands on the game in the near future, there is still time. Just head over to its Backer Portal and make a pledge! Even better, if you already have an account made for the Pillars of Eternity Backer Portal it will work with the Lords of the Eastern Reach portal. Update 3.0 Beta In preparation for The White March - Part II launching next month we are putting out a 3.0 Beta on Steam. The 3.0 Update comes with a ton of changes, bug fixes, and new features. We need your help in looking over everything to make sure that the community is happy with the direction of some of these changes. If you are able, we would really appreciate that you opt into the Beta patch and supply feedback in our forums. As always, you guys are what helps to make Pillars of Eternity the best game it can be. Here is a small list of features and changes that we would like feedback on: The value/feeling of Athletics and Survival, both on their own and relative to other skills. Do any of the Survival bonuses feel way out of line with the other bonuses? How do Knockout Injuries feel? Are they too punishing? Not punishing enough? Do any injuries feel way out of line with other injuries? Assuming you like the idea of Story Time, how does it feel to you? Does it make the game more enjoyable for you, or does it just remove combat as an obstacle that you didn't like in the first place? Do you like the new Stronghold Adventures? Do you like the narrative elements of them? How do the unique items you get from them feel? Do any of the unique items seem out of line with other items considering their relative difficulty level (i.e., comparing Minor to Minor, Grand to Grand)? Do you like the presentation and content of the Stronghold Visitor Dilemmas? How do you feel about the setup of the scenes? Are there any dilemmas that you don't like? Do you feel like the dilemmas all give you a good range of options for resolving them? Does the combat in the last third of the main game (from Elmshore on) feel better? Specifically, have we removed enough battles that feel like trash mobs or filler? Have we improved the fights there so they are a) challenging and b) more interesting? The same question, but on levels 7, 8, and 11 of the Endless Paths of Od Nua. For a more in-depth look at some of the changes and fixes, head over here and check it out. 17. Update by Brandon Adler, Lead Producer Hey, everyone. We have two bits of news for you today. One is about Zero Radius Games' Pillars of Eternity card game and the other is about updates for the DVD copies of the game. Pillars of Eternity Card Game: Lords of the Eastern Reach A quick note to let everyone know the Pillars of Eternity card game is in its last 24 hours. They've opened up 13 Stretch goals adding 82 more cards, solo rules, a wooden Pigeeple of the Spectral Pig, better cards, bigger dice, and are coming up on adding the Chanter troop type to the game. Plus, they just added a Campaign Book for people to be able to play through a whole series of scenarios that tell a story. Yeah... they've been busy. Check it out, and if it looks cool the guys at ZRG would be very appreciative of your backing. DVD Updates We have good news for everyone that has a DVD backer copy of the game, but would like the latest 1.06 update. You can now head over to our Backer Portal to download an update to the latest version of the game. Updates and installation instructions for all three OSes are on the page. When a new update is released in the future, we will add the new patches in this location.
  18. Update by Brandon Adler, Lead Producer Hello, backers. Obsidian has some very exciting news! Today marks the first day of a brand new Kickstarter for the Pillars of Eternity card game, Lords of the Eastern Reach. Lords of the Eastern Reach is a strategic card game of adventure and empire building based on Pillars of Eternity. You must protect and build a city. Hire heroes and troops for defense or to delve into dangerous dungeons for loot and glory. Build towers, blacksmiths and other buildings to gain the advantage and go for the win. The game is designed for 2-4 players and takes about 20-30 minutes per player. This gives the game a substantial feel while still being able to fit a game in on a work night. Turns are very interactive, with players being able to perform actions like building and hiring on other players' turns. No more sitting around waiting for your turn to come up! The original video game development team was actively involved in its development. The design of the card game was done by game industry veteran Chris Taylor (Lead Designer, Fallout) while much of the game's development was done by Obsidian's own Scott Everts and John Lewis. Lords of the Eastern Reach also features artwork created by Pillars of Eternity artists such as John Lewis, Kaz Aruga, Polina Hristova and more. If you are interested check out the video above where Feargus Urquhart and Chris Taylor go into the basics of the card game and talk about the Lords of the Eastern Reach Kickstarter in more detail. If you would like to back and get your hands on your own copy, head over to the game's Kickstarter page and donate.
  19. Hello Backers and Potential Backers! This is the Kickstarter Q&A forum. Here you can ask questions about the current Kickstarter campaign for Lords of the Eastern Reach or give us feedback about how we are doing. Thanks for your support.

The Kickstarter Q&A forum is for any questions from backers or potential backers specifically about the Kickstarter campaign.
  21. I'm planning on running: Fighter Barbarian War Chanter Battle Mage or Regular Wizard Wizard Rogue Build suggestions welcome. Or should I sub a Priest in?
  22. So, been wondering this for a while: does the One-Handed Style talent negate Weapon & Shield Style, or vice versa? I honestly don't think it does but just wanted to check.
  23. I honestly forget how this was done for Sword Coast and BG2, but wasn't there some sort of import feature from BG1? I'd hate to have to remake my character. Ideally, it would be nice to import your customs as well, but I doubt that would happen.
  24. Okay, so I know that we get up to six talents. Level 1 Level 3 Level 5 Level 7 Level 9 Level 11 Which, in my opinion, is great with the types of talents there are to choose from. It makes sure that no one PM (party member) is overpowered, and makes you think long and hard about specializations. If you are going for a straight bruiser, you would go straight down the Weapon Set tree. Snipers would want to go straight down the Marksman tree, picking up Gunner and Interrupting Blows. Deep Wounds, too. But what else about leveling am I missing? When do they offer new abilities? New spells? Is there a site that has all this information, because I've been searching?
  25. I'm a fairly lowish level, but I don't see how this could possibly matter for a mechanic like this. Anyway, when selecting "manual defend", the party is thrown up to a fight against two Treants (or however they're named here) and four Shades (which all summon shadows). This party is way too low level to possibly stand a chance, straight up characters getting OHKO'ed. The fight's difficulty is cursory, however. Because when you select "manual defend" you are instantly transported to the battle, AND THE GAME AUTOSAVES. So, unless you have a closer manual save, you're stuck in this fight. Please please please get rid of autosaving right before manual defending, or atleast before you're put into the actual battle.
