  1. Hi! I'm a massive fan of Black Isle / Troika / Obsidian as well as a student majoring in Computer Science, a game hobbyist and an amateur game developer. (Disclaimer) So, my question for today is a very profound one, and one that carries a lot of meaning to me, personally, and especially from a game developer studio perspective: What's wrong with Obsidian? Everything starts with Black Isle and Fallout, which (if you're aware of the story around the production) was a general huge mother****ing mess. After Black Isle was shot down, the general messiness seemed to follow with Troika games
  2. I was just thinking: how many people with a chronic illness would I have to lay hands on, before I would 'miraculously' cure at least three?
  3. This is a very interesting article, and makes me curious to watch The Ascent of Man. This paragraph in particular states something that I am always trying to get across in our numerous science versus faith discussions, and does so more eloquently than I tend to manage:
  4. Hello! I've wondered... if one would create a 3D environment, and then create all the properties of "reality" within a 4x4 area... would it be real? Let's take water, for instance. Would it be possible to create "H" and "O" scientifically and create wind, gravity and all that's "real" on Earth and the Universe (as we know it) and simulate reality, virtually? Then, when you've taken all components and ingredients, elements and pretty much everything from reality that you can put into this virtual environment... would it be "real"? If you plant a virtual seed that grows like a real plant and
  5. I haven't seen any topic discussing this, so I'll start with some: - How good actions can create evil - The inability to solve all problems - Interaction with societies with different values - Contamination, environmental concerns - Cultural clashes - Characters with disabilities
