My friends and I have just started a multiplayer game. I am on PS5, and my friends are on PS4 and PS5. Initially it worked fine, but them started crashing when I tried to load the game up. The crash happens after I have chosen my character. At first the crashes would happen a few times before it loaded up successfully. In the past two days the crashes are happening every time (I have made approximately 30 attempts). The error code is CE-108255-1. I have tried deleting all other saves, reinstalling the game and rebuilding my PS5 database from safe mode. All my other games work fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My friends and I are playing together, and I'm the host. We've played together without issue since launch, but all of a sudden we've returned back and they're experiencing some extreme desync issues, especially when building or dealing with dew drops. Sometimes if they're building something it will appear built but they can walk right through the built item. Sometimes if they're building it'll appear that it hasn't been built, when it has. With the dew drops, they'll appear but they can't drink from them. This is becoming a pretty major issue for us. They have to keep reconnecting to fix their bugs which just isn't fun. I'm on an AT&T Fiber connection with over a gig worth of speed. I don't know if it matters what my machine is, but the specs are below: EVGA Nvidia RTX 3080 10GB GDDR6X Intel Core i7-11700K Rocket Lake 3.2GHz 32GB DRDR4 RAM ASUS Z590-A ROG LEGA 1200 ATX Samsung 980 Pro SSD 1TB M.2 Any help with this would be extremely appreciated.

My friend and I have multiple issue playing the multiplayer, with the game lagging and stuttering whenever auto save happen as well as crashing after playing for about 2 hours. The crashes also happen at around 2am EST as well. The game also have issue tracking where we actually are when we play and only catch up if we jump, normally it isnt an issue but with multiple zipline network setup, randomly getting move when you are on one mean either certain dead if we are not looking or a really long run back to base. There also a recent issue with long lines of the ground texture just floating in the air, and it not like the ground beneath it is missing as well, it just that there are just line of ground texture floating randomly all over the place. These line also have graphic collision as well so that is also a thing. The sour candies in our world is also not respawning at all, yes I am talking about the one that can respawn. the smoothies station is also bug and wont let the client side of thing craft more than one smoothies at a time so we keep needing to back out of the menu and back in if we want to craft them. And can you please make it so friendly fire isnt just a customized world choice? why is friendly fire off isnt a thing in the fist place?

As the title says, we have a multiplayer game, shared with 2 friends and we have noticed that the mints do not re-spawn. The anthill mint, In the cup on the porch, wood stack, lunchbox, none of them re-spawn. Is this by design, as the wikia article suggests only the mints in the starter box don't re-spawn. If obsidian wants to check my world please DM me I can share or provide the worldcode.

Giving some feed back on my Co-op/Multiplayer experience in Grounded. I have 4 copies of the game across 4 Steam accounts. I have been attempting to play with my children, all in the same house on the same internet connection. I say attempting because we have not been able to have 4 people play for more than about 2-5 Minutes. The average is a disconnect for at least 1 player every 20-30 seconds. If we only do a 3 player game we can get connected for 10-15 minutes before one of the 3 players is dropped to the main menu. If only 2 players play, then it will usually be Ok for an hour or so at a time. When the game disconnects, you get a brief 1-2 second black screen and then are back at the GROUNDED Splash screen where it asks you to press any key to open the main menu. Even when players are able to be connected, we always have a "HIGH PING" icon in the upper right. We rubber band, and teleport around quite a bit. It seems that jumping will update your location to the host. Example: If you run a far distance,(No jumping) and try to interact with an item, it wont do anything. So if you jump, your location will get updated, and then you will teleport to where the host thinks you are/should be. Often quite far from where you thought you were. Upon being disconnected 5 or 6 times you are met with a message that your password for the game session is wrong and will not let you rejoin. Even if the host never had a password set. When this happens the host must close down the game and start a new session so that players can attempt to join. Another strange thing happens from time to time. When joining a session, players will sometimes be in a strange camera/photo/spectator mode. All the icons and UI messages are all over the screen and jumbled up. You can also see the location of all the BURG.L Chips. The player can only fly around the map. You are not able to interact with anything, or respawn. So you must quit and attempt to rejoin. Doing so often yields the message about an incorrect password, thus forcing the host to start a new session. Not sure if playing across the internet from separate locations is any better or not, as I have only tried playing with people at the same physical location. We are able to play other games online together just fine. Other games that we play without issues include: Halo MCC, Halo Infinite, The Cycle Frontier, Minecraft, Enlisted, Warthunder, Sea of Thieves, Battlefield 4, Easy Red2. So I don't think it has anything to do with our internet connection. I'm thinking its something to do with this game and how its updating from the guests to the host. All in all trying to play multiplayer has been a huge pain and large point of frustration. While single player is fun, we would really like to play together.

I need to address a problem come up repeatedly on the forum and it needs to be fixed ASAP. Whenever you try to play multiplayer it requests you sign in. Well it automatically has an email you signed up with and when you click on the little arrow to change it, it takes you back to the main menu instead. The problem is that it usually signs in automatically and I can't remember the password I've used for it. I have a different email that I want to use which has most of my other games linked to it. I bought this game specifically to play multiplayer and I've been unable to play for almost a year. The problem with xbox live microsoft password recovery is that it's a lengthy process that asks you irrelevant questions and needs to be "reviewed". It's been over 6 months and multiple submissions and I have still not received any response. Please devs, FIX THIS ASAP, we PAID FOR YOUR GAME and now there are some of us who can't fully enjoy the full experience. We need to be allowed to change the email without it automatically just taking us back to the main menu or at least lets us sign in with alternate emails.

Surprisingly few coop games allow more than 4 players to join. (1) Please consider increasing the maximum player limit, assuming there are no significant technical reasons that prevent it. It will make your game stand out, and you will gain 5 happy customers on the spot. ---- (1) https://store.steampowered.com/curator/11707935-More-Than-4-Local-Multiplayer/

When removing blueprint or recycling any part the entire structure collapses. In this video there are two separate structures. The structure I'm standing on had also been bugged in the same way. I completely rebuilt the structure I'm standing on to get rid of the bug. I really don't want to have to do the same to the other structure seen in this video as bugged/collapses. Any way to correct this without destroying and rebuilding? On the corrupted structure, most of the parts display the same number of "supporting". For example, all the floor pieces display that they are each supporting 30. Is there some way to reinforce it? Some way to reset/recount the "supporting" number on each part? Hope someone has an idea!

Restarted a new game to have a play through of the new content and UI redesign. Issues we found: When a non-host player builds a hologram grass wall or floor into a completed piece, sometimes for the non-host players that building piece is invisible. Non-host players could walk through the invisible wall etc, the host player reported seeing their character face plant into the wall and skitter along it. After a period of time the non-host player teleports to what I assume is the 'correct' position as far as the host is concerned. Logout / in fixes the build piece issues, but fundamentally there seems to be an issue in maintaining a consistent view of the world between the host and the non-hosts. We also had issues with the hotpouch bar for non-host players seemingly randomly switching items, and ignoring the pinning/sticky setting.

Hello, I happened to have had the opportunity to try out the game during your free weekend period that recently ended. Thank you for the event. Even though my time was short and progress wasn't gargantuan there were some things on my mind that I though would be worth jotting down to share in the hopes of helping this game be even better. I tried searching around for the items I was going to detail here and have not come across any relevant threads to append to. Apologies if I did miss any existing ones (perhaps my searching skills aren't good enough). In no particular order here are my research notes thus far: Platform: PC Steam Build ID: 7103683 Intense Title Screen Graphics Upon loading into the title screen and main menu I couldn't help but notice my GPU spike to 100% usage and sit there Checking another tool the FPS was clocking in at ~375 FPS Note: attached a snippet of MSI Afterburner monitor for details and potentially relevant data from other components The computer was mostly idle until launching from steam and then you see the GPU just go from low to 100% and stays there My in game graphics have been reduced to utilize ~70-80% of my GPU when actively playing in a world, but I can't restrict how ham my GPU is going when in the title/main menu Multiplayer Issues I've both hosted and joined a friend's world As the non-hoster there were consistent issues for us as opposed to the host never having these issues We've played other survival games and have not experienced these kind of issues that we have had in Grounded Randomly our inventory would sometimes blank out completely and if we quit + rejoined our inventories would return to normal Specific inventory issue seems to occur with multiple stacks of one plentiful item type at a time displaying as "X-3" or "0" Hard to specify, but there is a general intermittent choppiness as the non-host which I think contributes to the weird physics interaction at times Trampoline Interactions So, trampoline elevators made sense for going up, but... When jumping onto a second story trampoline into the sky and aiming for the trampoline on the ground level this results in damage In the event that I was low enough to die my body would continue to bounce forever in the same spot (was solo at the time so no clue how ally interaction to incapacitated player would be) Additionally, the backpack that is left behind upon player dying ends up bouncing forever I was hoping that trampolines would help break a large fall (imo, this is up to you if it should still cause damage since it makes sense as well) In regards to player/backpack bouncing indefinitely perhaps you nudge them away from the center point of the object in question so they will eventually get to a spot that they cannot bounce Yes, I realize that a player can relocate the trampoline to stop the perpetual bouncing, but that's not always the first solution that comes to mind if it can even come to mind at all (I've only realized this after having written this part out) Stuck on Grass Performing xtreme dandelion tuft landings or hopping wildly around and down onto two blades of grass can sometimes get you stuck Sometimes I am able to wiggle out while other times it feels like the perfect storm of wiggle physics that keep you perpetually suspended forever Playing solo with no one to help? Always having to carry an axe? Keep enough to make an axe on the spot at all times? What if the axe breaks? These are the questions that worry me every time I leave the safety of my grass-free base Perhaps the game could have some way of detecting a player that is indefinitely suspended (aka 'stuck') and shatter the grass Physics Gone Wild Loose objects, particularly grass planks, tend to cause some extreme behavior at times On more than a few occasions my partner or I would trip/clip/blip into a grass plank and skyrocket into the air (almost as high as the laser on a tripod) Multiple grass planks resting on one another may sometimes spontaneously combust into a violent explosion sending grass planks everywhere This might not be a terrible thing the more that I think about it, but certainly hilarious once (maybe only just once or twice) Some closing remarks. Kind of rambling so feel free to skip. Have you considered selling this game as a 4-pack? Perhaps a discount on the 4-pack? ^_^ If it wasn't for the fact that my friend told me about the free weekend and that it was free to try out this would have been a pass. It wasn't until I got into the groove and the motions of the logistics did I truly understand and enjoy this game. Which is certainly hard to convey on the storefront. This game really reminds me of Raft on many levels and I love Raft yet also took a pass on that game on a couple occasions until I didn't. This game (specifically the Steam storefront page) doesn't feel like it's selling the biggest asset that I love most and that is base building. There is one image in the slideshow on the storefront that shows an unbuilt blueprint and someone holding a stack of grass planks. Until someone actually plays the game or has seen other people playing it's not obvious from this pic alone that the base building is extremely deep and extravagant. I checked out Raft's storefront page and they included some pics showcasing their recent renovation update. Your Steam community hub artwork has loads of great bases and would be neat if you featured what your players were building. Your recent shroom update adds a whole new dimension to base design. A picture or two really are worth a thousand words. Especially on the Steam storefront since many quickly skim or make snap judgements on only images (when you mouse over games on the search page it has a mini popout that flips through only this slideshow). Thanks for reading! I hope this is useful in some way. Let me know if I can elaborate more on anything here. I'll be keeping an eye out for this game when it exits early access. Best wishes and good luck!

Me and two friends of mine have been enjoying a shared game, with me as host, for a few months now. We usually play 2 or 3 times a month. Since patch 9, one of my friends keep aggressively disconnecting from the game, usually within 2 minutes. I tried hosting a new save and it still happens. Out other friend tried hosting and it still happened. He tried hosting himself, but then only I could see the lobby, our other friend couldn't. Up until patch 9, it worked without disconnections - he's had no change in router, computer or ISP. Any ideas?

Currently on 3.3 if I host and someone joins me they can't seem to move beyond the starting point of the game. They load up but can't move and at times can't see anything. They are stuck in the beginning spawn point of the game but can't do anything else other than to close the game out. Tried multiple saves and other ways to get around this but isn't possible. I can join others but others can't join me.

Platform: Steam Multiplayer: 2/3/4 players Description of issue: Since we started installing ziplines, we've been getting the following issues: 1. When using ziplines, non-host players' heads turn into carabiner hooks. 2. After using ziplines, non-host players end up seizing (they see other players perpetually umping, too). When they swim and go under, they are unable to resurface and die by drowning. After being revived, they no longer seize up until they use the ziplines again. 3. After exiting the game, and loading it, the non-host players turn into cameras (no access to inventory or other options), before crashing. 4. When we chop down grass/weed stems or bring down berries, they have phantoms that remain, which can't chop or shoot down. This is the same for dew drops on blades of grass. We've had to rollback to a save file that had no ziplines yet, just to be able to play the game in multiplayer mode.

Greetings all! First off, I just want to say to the Dev Team, I love this game. I know there are a lot of issues many are having, but the core building gameplay and survival mechanics are really re-playable for me. That being said, with this latest patch, like many others, I've had a few issues. Really, the first I've encountered throughout the my entire play experience since launch. The first issue, and really its made the game unplayable at the moment, is I can no longer save any instance of the game. When going to save it says "CANNOT SAVE: MAX SAVE SLOTS ESED" which I'm guessing is just a misspelling of "USED" (see image). I have physically deleted older saves from inside the Saved Games folder in windows AND from the inside the game itself, and it does nothing. I can not overwrite any save file as well. I have tried loading it into Single Player as well, but the result is the same. I have been using AutoSave every 5 minutes throughout my entire time playing so I know i've build up a backlog of Save Files, but its as if the game doesn't register any of my deletions. So that's a bummer since any further progress I make won't be saved. The second issue is with the zip lines. They work great for me as the host but placing down an anchor points and connecting them crashes the game for my friend in MP. Literally as soon as he rejoins, it crashes the game for him as long as the zipline is there. We tested it out multiple ways (having him build them, having each of us build one, etc..) and the result was the same. Maybe other's have experienced this as well, I'm not sure. Lastly, and I know this has been brought up here and on social media, but my friend and I experience a 5-7 second lag every time a structure is built, regardless of who places it or finishes it. My friend is also experiencing slow "draw in" of some larger portions of out base, and sometimes he can't even see parts of it. Again, I know this has already been brought up, but I thought it might be relevant to one of the other issues. We think its an inherent de-sync in the Host/Client communication. Also, out base is HUGE and we have probably WAAAAAY to many static build assets in the game so that is probably slowing things down. In any case, if anyone has a solution for the Save Game issue on PC, that would be really helpful. Everything else is not much of an issue at the moment but I can't continue playing until I can save again. Don't know if another topic has been made for this, but whenever I am playing with my friend in his world. Anytime we or myself place items such as workbenches, torches, chests, decor, etc, on either floors or walls, If I leave the area and come back, they all reappear under ground for me. On my friends screen since he is the host he does not have these issues. The good thing is that I can still access the chests from the original areas, but it makes it hard because they affect my movement when they are phased into the ground. Whenever we reset the game is a simple fix, but the moment i leave to do anything and come back, they all disappear again.

Occasionally while playing the game (in multiplayer as the client, not host, in my case), upon exiting the inventory, craft menu, map, etc. I will recieve a graphics driver crash error that will either crash the game or, in some cases, my entire PC and require a restart. I can't exactly get screenshots of the crash, nor can it reliably be recreated per se, but it happens roughly every 1 in 3 times I exit the menu. (This has happened one time upon launching the game, but not again) The host and I updating our graphics drivers, as the error suggested, did nothing to fix the issue. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, any workarounds yet? *Update* I theorize this may be an issue with directx 12. I use an AMD Radeon RX 580 and have an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core processor. Dx 12 is notoriously awful with AMD softwares, but because I use the Xbox App and am playing the game with the gamepass, I'm unsure of how to fix this issue unless it may possibly be something in the game (I was not having this issue at all playing the game in multiplayer as the client player 2 days ago). As of right now this error is making my game unplayable, which sucks because I adore both the game and Obsidian as a company. If anyone finds a workaround for making the game run in dx 11, I'd love to hear it so I can play the game again.

I know multiplayer options/preferences are still work in progress, but it there currently a way to prevent random players joining your game? Had this happen a few times now with some negative outcomes; from destroying bases to stealing items and logging out. As they keep the items on them until they re-login, I wonder if there's a way you can reclaim their backpack as these players will not be returning to my world? Blocking players doesn't prevent this as (on Xbox) they just need to Follow you, don't have to be friends, to join your game.

List of Bugs identified (following recent patch) Dew Collector - Spawns water once but then never again. Insect Spawning inside Solid Objects - The longer I play, the more bugs I notice are 'stuck' inside objects, such as rocks, or tree branches, it's starting to become an issue.. A bug respawn upon sleeping would be good to resolve this? Insects Teleporting through Walls (Note: I have not noticed this since the Larvae spawning on base fix, but I suspect it is still an issue just now less frequent) Spiders and the Lab - Frequent for spiders to get stuck in the entrance to the lab, or just sit and wait outside the lab, making it impossible for newer players to get out. Think this should be made a safe zone somehow. Plant Fibre is Obtrusive - When I've been cutting grass, and there's a lot of plant fibre rolls on the floor, my character struggles to walk because they block your path and you find yourself fighting against them all. Plank Huck sometimes hurts the thrower - Not sure why this happens, but when you huck you sometimes take a lot of damage from it. (Base Building) Walls are... Unpredictable - I can spend almost an hour setting down blueprints, to then find where I wanted to put a wall is impossible, ruining my entire plan. Sometimes the walls can be 50% under the ground, which is good, other times, they can't be 1% under the ground - this is particularly noticeable on rocks. (Base Building) Wall Height - Sometimes my walls will look fine, then I'll come back to my base, and the wall behind my stair case has the jagged top, meaning it comes through the floor, blocking the path to get up. UI Improvement Suggestions (Xbox Controller) 'Back' (change view) button does WAY too much - It takes way too long to scroll through all the menus just to get to my inventory, to then have to move through my items, and then enter the RT menu to do something with an item. Allow option for left and right on d-pad to scroll through select items, rather than just being able to assign each button to 1 item. Add a quick button for 'drop', for example Press X, inside the inventory screen, especially useful for multiplayer when sharing items quickly with friends. Add a "hold button", for example Hold X, for destroy item inside the inventory screen (then a pop up asking to how many to destroy in the stack, or all). Make it so that we need to Hold 'Back' button (change view button) to access the crafting screens, and just Tap 'Back' button (change view button) to open the inventory which is by far the most used. Save Menu Layout - Separate screen for auto saves, and ability to name manual saves. Equipped Gear - Please please please, make it so that equipped gear does not stay in inventory, and introduce the normal RPG gear screen! Balance Improvements Multiplayer Balancing - On 4 player multiplayer, water is extremely difficult to manage - spawn rates should be balanced depending on number of players. Dehydration and Starvation isn't punishing enough - As a survival game, and these being the only 2 resources that need managing, I'd expect the game to punish you more for not maintaining them properly. A good example is Fallout 4 Survival mode, whereby, the more dehydrated or hungry you get, the more punishing the effects become. (I understand this would be bad to introduce as of now due to balancing issues and water spawning issues, but something for the future?) Sleeping (Hunger and Thirst Bars) - Hunger and Thirst when sleeping makes no sense, they always go to a fixed value and can even increase over night? The fall should be dependant on number of hours and starting levels of the hunger and thirst metres before bed. As of now, I find myself letting my characters bar just drop to zero because eating or drinking before bed is completely pointless. Sleeping Need - This should be introduced imo. As well as more sleeping furniture which reap better results, i.e. well rested. Additional Content Suggestions A Weather System Rain Water easier to find on grass Water collector fills up if unsheltered Different insects appear (e.g. worms as they do irl) Potential movement penalty inside puddles? A clover leaf 'floating boat' to compensate for the increase height of water in areas of the garden? (and to avoid water insects from below). Raindrops can hurt if gets very heavy - clover umbrella for protection? Sun Water need falls quicker Water more scarce (Evaporation) Different insects appear (or more frequently, i.e. bees, wasps, mosquitoes) Damp areas of the map start to dry out somewhat Map Expansions More dungeons to explore (like the hedge branch system and also underground), with puzzles and unique rewards at the centre (Not just raw science, it's a great idea and all, but it's not that exciting after a while). Hidden entrances around the map with mysteries/clues inside (and more unique enemies). Quests Not just 'collect this' or 'kill that', but something meaningful... e.g. we need to build this device, collect these parts so we can construct this or further out research etc. similar tasks but with more purpose and have it lead somewhere. BURGL Rewards Selection is currently limited, feel like this could be fleshed out a lot more. As of now, Raw Science feels extremely pointless and I have very little motivation to try and find more. Backpack Upgrades - A rare upgrade, potentially obtained via BURGL after a series of quests? (following research mentioned in my 'quests' section?) - Adding additional inventory slots. Level Up! Some form of levelling system, even if just for combat... Rewards for higher levels such as for Archery, increased bow draw speed, or arrow recovery chance. And for Melee, less weapon degrading, critical hit chance, stun change, evasion chance or damage reduction chance. etc. Would make it more worthwhile taking on more bugs in combat rather than purely for gathering purposes. (Base Building) Wall Height Options - Options to remove the jagged top from walls would be nice, it causes big problems as they tops come through floors a lot of the time when the bottom floor of a structure doesn't have the same skeleton as the floor above. The same can also be said for doors - the top of which peeks through the floor above. (Base Building) Use Furniture - The ability to use chairs etc. in the future would be nice. (Base Building) Colour Options - The ability to use items from around the garden to dye walls etc. or add painted décor to them. New Insects (I know, obviously! - But here's my ideas) Ant Queen (ant nest boss) Flying Ants *Shudders* Wasps Worms Water Skeeters Diving Beetles
