  1. Hi, I'm playing PoE on a MacBook Air and after the last update the game crashes during every area transition. When I reopen the application and hit continue, I wind up in the new area, but clearly, this isn't ideal. I've attached the player.log and system info. Thanks!   2. Hi, Since upgrading to Windows 10, PoE has done nothing but crash. I’ve traced a problem back to the original OS install with an NVidia driver (the hideous day one driver issue that was well reported) issue and I thought I’d rectified that with a complete OS fresh install and the latest ISO of Windows 10, but the problem resurfaced again. My system is pretty respectable (System Config attached) and I think I’ve done everything reasonable to work out what is going on here.   3. Hey folks, So I've done some searching on the forum and I see others complaining of this as well. Unfortunately, none of the solutions have worked for me. This has been happening ever since I upgraded to Windows 10. Description: The game crashes at indeterminate intervals. I can play anywhere between 2 minutes to 45 minutes before it happens. It's completely unexpected, there's no specific action that seems to cause this behavior, but it has been happening since I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10.   4. Hi, Since yesterday I'm having a serious problem with the game. Every time I try to load any of my saves, the game freezes and stops responding, forcing me to quit it via task manager. I've updated my graphics drivers, tried it with Steam both on- and offline, I reinstalled the game and tried to run it as admin, but nothing helped. The problem started with the game slowing down considerably and falling to something like 10 FPS, several hours into the new White March expansion (right after the wolf cave).   5. Hi, i play poe since a few time and the game crashes now very often since i am arrived at Gilded Vale. It crashed after loading another area (leaving the inn) but also crashed at other times without specific action. I once lost the sound first, managed to save and then crashed... The transistion screen with tips will show, then the cursor will switch to the Mac OS X "beachball" and then the game will exit, dropping to the desktop and producing the OS X Problem Reporter with the crash data.   7. I have just finished the game and I found a number of really annoying bugs and I am also experiencing game crashes occasionally. Since I started the game with an earlier game version, I am not going to post the bugs just yet, the game crashes however occur when I launch the game therefore I believe that issue is not related to the savegames.   8. Description: Crashing at every instance besides moving around the map. Talking to NPCs, combat, load screens, etc. all crash the game immediately. Hi, The game repeatedly shuts down my whole machine when it plays the wind/storm cutscene right after you kill the first boss at the very begining of the game, this is when the when the characters run into the wagon and then the wind effects happen. Its happened 3 times in a row in exactly the same spot (with new games from scratch each time) How can you get past this?? There is another thread on this topic with plenty of information, but does not seem to have any response even though many people are consistently having this issue even after the most recent patch. I have had it intermittently since I purchased the game 2 months ago. At first it seemed to be solved by turning of Steam Sync, then it came back. Then it seemed to be solved by deleting as many additional saves as possible. Then it seemed to be solved by the first autosave "clearing" somehow - IE if I tried to quick or manual save, it would crash, but after an autosave triggered, it would go

  13. So I've gotten PoE a few weeks ago...during the 1.05 patch. So far the game has run well enough for me, but lately I been experiencing a really annoying crash/error that seems to happen sporadically. Although from the notes I been taking it seems to happen more during when the game is first started up. After I relaunch a couple times it seems to go away or stabilize. I'm sure theres been gameplay bugs as well but I can manage playing around those...I just can't stand crash errors though.   14. Its fairy easy not to do but still. After I've right click on a skill to view the full description, If I unpause the game without closing it first, it crashes. Is anybody else having this issue or just me? P.S. Also for what its worth the skill descriptions stack up on top of one another instead of disappearing when click on something else causing you to have to click the x five times.
  15. I'm crashing consistently when moving from one area to the next. I'm playing version 1.0.4.0540-steam of the game on OS X 10.10.3.   16. Oh, so this is where I was supposed to post now. B-) I'm not even sure how to get relevant debug info out of Pillars. Using the Steam version, on Arch 64 bit. Whole computer goes down. I've had this happen before with Wasteland 2 and XCOM, intermittently. Wasteland 2 apparently figured out what the problem was because it stopped doing it after a while. Pillars consistently crashes a bit after the screen starts moving at the beginning, after character creation.   17. Hi there Pillars of Eternity fans, backers, hamsters and rangers! The issue I'm experiencing crashes after the game has launched, about 1 minute into gameplay. My computer completely freezes, and forces me to hard boot to restart my Mac.   18. Hi. I have a problem with Pillars of Eternity. I entered the Temple of Eothas then talked to a guy that gave me quest to search the temple for dead priests. After that, everytime I try to exit the temple in order to search a guy near the forge - the game crashes. I tried to explore the temple further before exiting, but with no luck.   19. Intermittently during gameplay, I'm getting a crash or freeze where the screen goes a solid color with vertical lines. Audio keeps playing, either normal music continuing, or a loop. No response to Alt-Tab, Alt-F4, Ctrl-Alt-Del or anything short of the reset or power button. Not getting any crashes or artifacting in any other games or stress tests like Prime95, IBT, Furmark, 3DMark, Unigine Heaven, I have to assume this is not a hardware issue.   20. I've endured constant crashes, I suspect, because I have a 32 bit OS. I've "solved" this by repeatedly quicksaving throughout my game. I have, however, encountered a persistent and nagging crash every time I try to load up my quicksave in the Dyrford Ruins. My last save is four hours back. I've tried to enlarge my RAM by bypassing PAE. I've tried to run with -high. I've tried every setting and resolution. Alas, I'm forced to turn to the expertise of the technical team here. I have Windows 8.1 (32), 4 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 650, and an AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor. Error log: Unity
  21. Since I run a 32 bit system, I've experienced the crashes during loading that everyone's been talking about (even though I have the 1.04 patch). No problem. I save before exiting areas and frequently quicksave. I currently have quicksaved at the Dyrford Ruins. Now my system crashes whenever I try to load that quicksave, and the most recent save outside of that one is at least four hours back. I've tried multiple times and even enabled PAE to no avail.   22. Title says it all, really. Today I got my gaming computer ongoing, and I was wondering how PoE plays in it. Well... It plays not so good. In fact, it crashes just after clicking the game exe. file. Soo...   23. Obsidian, guys, I really try to play your game. Its atmosphere is excellent! But I just can not. After about 2 hours of playing the game it began to crash when reading new locations. Nothing helps. I read on your forum an advice to reduce details and disable all other programs in the background. I did it, but it didn't work. Still after loading 2 or 3 locations in succession it hangs. I do not have the newest PC, but it's not the worst one either.   24. I just registrated to say thank you to the developers for patch 1.04, because in my case PoE runs on a Win XP 32bit machine with 2 GB Ram only. Before the patch the game crashed on leaving the tutorial area, but now I can proceed a little further ) I know that XP is not supported and 2 GB Ram aren't either, but so far it works (because XP doesn't need so much ram space like other win versions). Loading times are very short compaired to eg. Divinity Original Sin (that actually still suffers from the saving bug on 32bit systems) and overall performance is really good. Keep up the good work *
  25. Since the 1.04 patch (or sometime shortly after?), I have been experiencing a major crash issue every time I try to play. I can start the game, but after about 10 minutes my computer crashes completely, requiring a reboot. This issue occurs regardless of which character or save file I load up, and has also occurred from the character creation screen (I learned this when I tried to start a new character, hoping the issue was just tied to my old saves).
