  1. Hey guys, Sorry if this is already covered somewhere else, but Kalakoth's Freezing Rake (Level 8 wizard spell) used to only damage enemies, and now damages allies as well. If this is working as designed, cool, but the tooltip and spell description still says enemies. Also I didn't see anything in the patch notes so ??? Thanks!
  2. Hey all, first time poster here. I know it has been mentioned both on here and on reddit before (though from a quick scan of the forums here none too recently), but I feel it's still worth mentioning again. During my playthrough I decided of my own freewill to deal with the slavers at Crookspur - they were slavers, they needed killin'. After the deed was done, Rauatai approached me to say they were taking the island. This was before accepting Onekaza's quest to recruit the Wahaki, which never appeared in my questlog when I did accept it, or even visiting the Wahaki for Aloth's quest. Anyway, upon finally visiting Ori o' Koiki and speaking to the chieftain for the above quests, she immediately got pissed about Rauatai taking the island after I told her I dealt with Crookspur, and refuses to speak to me further. I can't speak to her about the Painted Masks or helping the Huana. This was 2 months ago. I was hoping after several patches it would be fixed, but no dice. I know you guys are busy, but this is pretty game-breaking stuff for me and I'm assuming several other players as well - I can't complete the game with my preferred faction, and I can't complete the quest involving a companion who has been in my party the entire game. Hopefully something can be done about this? I know you can murder the chieftain at least for the Painted Masks, but I don't feel that should be my only option. I've attached a save file below for reference. Thoughts?
  3. I have a new iMac less than three months old. This game constantly has screen issues, half the screen is water half is land. Dialogue doesn't load properly on the screen, level up text doesn't load, voices cannot be heard. What is going on? I requested a refund and have been denied because I played for 5 hours. Half of that was spent trying to work around the bug issues, reloading the game. Waiting on the screen to load, hoping that it would work. I paid for the 59.99 package. This is insane. Ive attached a screenshot, I have more but they are more than 510kb.... I'm waiting on the second refund attempt and if that doesn't work I will post more until this is fixed.
  4. Sorry if these have been raised already, I tried searching the forum, but didn't find any hits. If they have please disregard. First bug Using the form of helpless beast spell and killing pig people = giant dead bodies. They first turn into giant pigs. And then giant people. Second bug There's a skeleton in the hanging sepulchers that I can't kill, or target. I can't get out of combat or leave and for some reason it's doing auto damage to my party even when we're not near it. Third bug Companions coming way too strong off the bat, usually immediately after they join the party. This leads me to rejecting all of their advances, because they are strangers at that point. First and third bugs aren't really too significant, with the prior even being amusing. The second bug makes it impossible to advance that specific quest, I'll probably just reload until it works, but I'd rather not.
  5. I just started a new playthrough using a cipher on POTD. Through whisper of treason my charmed enemies are randomly shedding their charmed effect during its duration without any other effect from other enemies or themselves(timer will go from like 10 sec left to disappearing). It has happened on xaurips, wolves, and bandits so far as I am only in the first act. I have not noticed this before and I can't find any information about a patch changing how it works.
  6. The Bonus from the item Wise Teeth Necklace, Old Wisdom (+1 Intellect, +1 History, +1 Insight) does not show up on the Character Sheet under Current Effects. The bonuses are applied to the stats and skills, but the modifiers are not documented under Current Effects, making it more difficult to manage equipment in order to avoid Suppression.
  7. Alright I've got 2 bugs I've encountered so far. First is I think an issue with quest progression. I went to the slavers place and got the Tip of the Spear quest. Then I got the quest from the Royal Deadfire Company to clear out the slaves. I did the Tip of the Spear then killed the slavers. Even though I completed Tip of the spear the game said that I had failed it and now it no longer exists in my quest log. Also when I went back to the Valian Republics HQ for more quests the game beleives that I'm in good with the slavers and that they're going to help out the Director in some way. The other bug is on the island Motare O Kozi with Baltia, when Eder attempts to relese her from the vines the game just ends the dialouge instead of freeing her.
  8. 1) The last added condition or action behavior is not saved. 2) Cloning Paladin behaviors not working right, some cloned items missing action name and icon, also condition not cloned. 3) Splitting an item in inventory splits the item to the left instead of the selected one, unless splitting item in position 1 (Top-Left) which works right. 4) The popup description for Intellect Affliction in Drugs and Potions is wrong, it is not describing the afflictions but intellect instead.
  9. Hopefully, people are still visiting the Pillars 1 forum. I really need some help. I am trying to replay Pillars of Eternity 1 while I wait for the bugs in 2 to be ironed out and I am suffering from periodic stutters every 30 seconds or so. The framerate's almost locked at 60 everywhere but it still stutters. It's quite annoying. Doesn't matter where I am, it still stutters. This and Pillars 2 are the only games I am having issues with on my system. Everything else runs fine. My system specs: OS: Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) CPU: i7 3770K (overclocked or not, it makes no difference) GPU: Geoforce GTX 1060 6GB (I have tried switching this with an older GTX 780. No change in stutter) Storage: 1TB SSD RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 Motherboard: Asrock Z75 Pro3 I do not have a Gsync Monitor. I have a "Generic PnP 60hz Monitor" Temps never go above 60 degrees Things I have tried: Vsync On/Off Lowered setting to the lowest it was possible to go. Capped framerate to 30 Ran game as administrator Tried running the game with each different compatibility setting Verified game cache with steam Updated nviida drivers Complete uninstall and reinstall of the game Tried the different launch parameters (-force-d3d11, -force-opengl) Double checked that the game was using my actual GPU. Temporarily disabled my integrated gpu to force the game to use of my dedicated gpu Ran with high cpu priority Fiddled with the cpu affinity (disabled and re-enabled the working cores to trick it into using my other cores, which HAS worked for different games before.) Overclocked the GPU Underclocked the GPU Removed any and all overclocking from GPU and CPU Tried to disable any non windows services Made sure everything else was closed with task manager before running the game. Checked to make sure I was using "Maximum Performance" power option. Disabled both Steam Overlay and the in-game telemetry. Turned off all my monitoring software(MSI Afterburner). Temporarily disabled my antivirus disconnected my ethernet cable removed any usb devices removed audio devices (certain older games crash when using certain audio devices) I don't know what else to do. Some people with lesser hardware are getting better performance while others with stronger hardware are getting worse performance. I am welcome to and appreciate any suggestions you might have.   10. In the Kraken Tavern no one has dialogue except the barkeep (guards/cook etc say or do nothing when clicked.) Also choices from PoE1 don't seem to be taken into account (Eder joined Night Market? Didn't become Mayor like in my PoE ending?) Anyone else having these issues? Couldn't see them on here. Thanks!

  12. Hello all, I purchased this game on release (in addition to a bit of beta experience w/ a buddy) and started playing it happily! I was initially very happy to be supporting such fantastic writing, artwork, and etc. I am baffled by the fact that my 30+ hours into the game are now... ALL GONE!!! I even restarted my journey giving the new patch a chance, thinking it might have been solved... but no! Upon the developers' request, I will post a full description of my system's attributes along with a recent saved game that i found in the "saved game" folder (documents) IF I GET A PROMISING RESPONSE THAT I HAVE NOT WASTED MY MONEY OR MY TIME!!!! I tried all the fixes that are currently available... NONE WORKED! If anybody can help I would greatly appreciate it. Sia
  13. They are not knew of course, but I didn't find these mentioned on the forum. Though it is a 2010 game, I suggest fixing these bugs creates player-buyer fidelity towards Obsidian. 1) When loading a saved game at the first check point of a mission, the "script trigger" (my words) does not start, so guards/enemies are not loaded. This happens notably with the mission at the airport in Saudi Arabia. One has to load or start in the safehouse to have the mission trigger its start scripts properly. 2) Silent Running mutes handlers, dialogues, etc. Handler dialogue is important and can give important storyline information. Advanced Silent Running last about 30 seconds. In 30 seconds, everything a handler said was missed (actually happened to me twice).

Below you will find; New Content, System Changes, Bug Fixes, and Known Issues. NEW CONTENT Prepatch (Build 4) saves are not compatible and will not be available in the Save/Load Menu with this patch (Build 21). We are still ironing out some save/load issues on our end and don't want you all to run into unnecessary issues. A new uncharted Island - A new island has been added to the world map. Custom Party AI - Our complete AI system will be available. This system still has some rough edges but should be functional. Hit it and tell us what you think. RP your hearts out J SYSTEM CHANGES We listened closely to all of your feedback over the past month, and are rolling out some changes to improve gameplay. Injuries: Updated Injuries so that only some Injury types will reduce Max Health. When they do, they'll reduce it by 15%, rather than 25%. Players will still die when gaining their 4th Injury, even if none of the Injuries they have reduce MaxHealth. Here are the Injuries that affect MaxHealth: Fatigued Frail Major Injury Critical Injury Maimed Severe Wound Here are the Injuries that don't: Acute Rash Bruised Ribs Concussion Frostbite Burned Smashed Hands Sprained Wrist Swollen Eye System Shock Twisted Ankle Wrenched Knee Wrenched Shoulder Interrupt: Modified a couple of abilities whose primary purpose is to interrupt targets, so that they will Interrupt on Graze or better, rather than Hit or better. This affects the following abilities: Fighter: Knockdown and Mule Kick Monk: Force of Anguish, Wave of Force, and Skyward Kick Ranger: Concussive Shot and Concussive Tranquilizer Rogue: Sap and Perplexing Sap Other interrupt abilities `either always hit, or applied an Affliction and so already got a benefit for a Graze. They still require the character to have Grazes from another source (Fighter Confident Aim, Aware Inspiration, etc.) Movement: Reducing movement speeds to 85% of their previous amount. Attributes: In Pillars 1 and Deadfire (now), the Might and Resolve attributes affect the following: Might - All Damage, All Healing, Fortitude Defense Resolve - Concentration (Pillars 1 only), Deflection Defense, Will Defense Players have noted the following over the past few years: If you're a caster, there's often not much reason to invest in Resolve (especially in Deadfire). From a *~ roleplaying ~* perspective, it feels weird to have muscley wizards casting high damage fireballs because they can bench 350 lbs. So we are making these changes for the next Backer Beta build: Strength - All Weapon Damage, Fortitude Defense Resolve - All Healing, All Spell Damage, Deflection Defense, Will Defense For ease of use, "Weapon Damage" means anything that's an equipped weapon, from a sword to a bow to a gun to Kalakoth's Minor Blights. This also means there's a benefit to making a high-Strength wizard (i.e., being a psycho melee "gish" wizard). Spells: Slow cast spells will use the Fast (2s base) recovery time instead of Average (3s base). The Very Slow cast spells (typically summons) will now use the Very Fast (1s base) recovery time. Penetration: Modified the Penetration system slightly, along with how Penetration displays in the mouse-over tooltip in combat. When your Penetration is below the target's Armor, there is now a gradual reduction in damage. The current values are (and may be tweaked as we play with them a bit): -1 Pen = 75% Damage -2 Pen = 50% Damage -3 or more Pen = 25% Damage It's still 100% damage up until you are at double Pen, and then 130% damage from there. Along with this change, Penetration will now ONLY display on the combat tooltip when you are either BELOW Pen, or you don't yet know the target's Armor value for the damage type you'll deal. Attack Speed: Updated the attack speed of most 1H weapons to use an Average (3s) recovery time, instead of Fast (previously 1s). Fast recovery times are now 2s, rather than 1s. The overall result of these changes is that combat will have a slower pace as recovery times for 1H weapons is increased. Here are the 1H weapons that will have a Fast (2s) recovery time. All other 1H weapons are Average recovery: Stiletto Hatchet Dagger Rapier Club Flail Monk Fists As part of this change, we also looked at the overall damage ranges of weapons, with the goal of making 2H weapons a viable choice compared to 1H weapons. Recovery: Base recovery time for a Slow recovery attack is now 4s, instead of 5s. Very slow is now 7s instead of 8s. More importantly, we updated the recovery penalty from armor, as follows: 20%: Light Armor (Leather, Hide, Padded) 35%: Medium Armor (Scale, Breastplate, Mail) 55%: Heavy Armor (Brigandine, Plate) Graze: All attacks can inherently Graze. We updated the Aware Inspiration to grant 50% Graze to Hit conversion, and fighter Confident Aim also grants 50% Graze to Hit (meaning Fighters who have both will hit a lot more). Grazing will reduce damage and status effect / affliction duration by 50%. We might consider having graze downgrade Tier 3 & Tier 2 afflictions, like an inherent Resistance. Rogue: Rogue Escape ability. It now costs 1 Guile to use (previously it was 2). It is no longer removed when you choose Shadow Step/Shadowing Beyond, but it is a requirement in order to gain either of those abilities.Ranger: Ranger abilities Wounding Shot, Accurate Wounding Shot, Hobbling Shot, Concussive Shot, Concussive Tranquilizer, and Stunning Shots will now work with melee weapon attacks.Priest: Priests will now receive an automatic spell when they reach every new Power Level. For a single-class Priest, that's at levels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 16, and 19. Updated Priests so that they no longer lose access to spells based on type. IE: Eothas Priests no longer lose access to Protection spells. Fighter: Mule Kick is now a standalone ability, not a Knock Down upgrade. It requires Knock Down to learn, but doesn't replace it. It now does bonus damage and will Disorient the target, and will cost 3 points to use.Ranger: Wounding Shot - Since Wounding Shot and its upgrades were reduced to 1 point, tuned down the bonus Raw damage a bit. Marked Prey - As with Sworn Enemy, Marked Prey will now work correctly w/ ranged & AoE attacks. Paladin: Paladin Orders like Priests, players were required to pick a Paladin Order during character creation. We've removed the drawbacks from picking the various Orders. Lay on Hands -Greater Lay on Hands and Hands of Light are no longer upgrades to Lay on Hands. They require Lay on Hands, but do not replace it. Their effects remain the same. Sworn Enemy - has been updated to work correctly with ranged & AoE attacks BUG FIXES Thanks to all you wonderful gamers providing tons of feedback/bugs. We spent this past month addressing as many of it as we could; here are some of the highlights. General Issues: (FIXED) Mild to severe drop in frame rate on first load. We are still in the process of optimizing our game.   16. I got the game a few days ago. Played the tutorial liked it played through the first missions with my cleric and thief. it kept prompting me to look at the store other things. I bought the goblin that did nothing all campaigns and characters are locked with no way to get them . also if this game is ****e how do i get my cash back for the non existent dlc i bought, very dissapointed.
  17. I'm having an issue with the game I'm currently in where the armor that I'd like to use won't give me the option to bury/banish to negate damage. It seems that I would be able to use the armor in this condition, but only discard is showing. Is this a bug? I've attached an image. Also, in the scenario attempt previous to this (same adventure), I was took damage and had discarded Summon Monster as damage, which made Summon Monster go off, instead of using it for a damage point. Is this correct? Either way, I could not move on from this as all the prompts to advance my characters turn were not showing or, when they did show, not responding.   18. I have no idea where I can report bugs I've been encountering, so I'm posting here. Hopefully this will get where it needs to go. First bug: every time I start the app (with WiFi enabled), I am greeted with the familiar: "network connection restored. Purchases, gold, etc., Have been enabled" or however it goes. However, I have no gold when I go to look. The store icon/button is not visible, and if I continue playing, none of those things come up., I don't earn gold, and the icon in the corner says I can link my social network. The only remedy I have found is to log in to my Asmodee.net login and that enables everything. Second Bug: Also related with this, the game wouldn't let me (or make me) banish cards in my stash over the 10 limit. I don't know if that's an intentional feature when the game is not connected, but that seems weird. For whatever reason, I had a few days where I would try to fix my decks after a scenario and nothing would be saved and I wasn't asked to banish cards. The end result was that I got about 3 copies of each card in my stash and finally today was able to banish them. This probably had some connection to the previous problem. Third Bug: I lost some of my campaign information with one of the recent updates. This was really weird for a while. It said I had completed some scenarios on normal and Legendary, but not heroic. I haven't looked through to see what the end result was now that things seemed to stabilize, but that was annoying. Fourth bug: On a similar note, one of my characters reported having never completed one scenario, even though they didn't die. I know she completed it because she is one of the two I have always had in my team. I've since played that again and gotten the scenario reward again (but not the adventure reward again), which was a random card.
  19. This is a call for the developers. But first an introduction: There is a bug with nvidia optimus technology on windows 10. It's pretty well documented and reported and pretty old. The details, along with investigation and a guide made by me can be found here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1008527/geforce-mobile-gpus/-guide-diagonal-screen-tearing-problems-with-optimus-nvidias-control-panel-not-working-like-it-should-need-a-fix-get-in-here/ In short, most unity games, and most games running with a Dx9 renderer, when played on a laptop with an nvidia card and windows 10 will get an awful diagonal screan tear. Yup, DIAGONAL. The easiest workaround is forcing the games to use dx11. Just try it yourself! Fire up Pillars of Eternity with vsync on (vsync have nothing to do with the bug, but deactivating it will make it pretty damn difficult to see without a trained eye... That and the tradicional horizontal tear will apear ). You will se that tear whenever you move, scroll the map or certain effects fire. Now force the game to use Dx11. BAM problem solved. Now try the same with Tyranny. The tearing is worse. Force Dx11: A pink screen. Let me also use this thread to ask: Why wasn't Dx11 implemented in Tyranny? It's a later game made by the same people and engine. What happened? Now the point of this thread should be pretty obvious! Will Deadfire come with a Dx11 option? If not, could you please reconsider? My laptop would be the best device to play the game because of it's screen, and also because of my lifestyle. (I say this before the inevitable "why are you gaming on a laptop anyway?" posts start to appear) Loving the advances of the game by the way! Great work <3

Power wording is any other character Raznak evade vs Sherriff Hemlock * Raznak and G.Valeros are together. Raznak encounters Sherriff Hemlock and successfully evades before Sherriff Hemlock's Before You Act check. Valeros encounters Sherriff Hemlock and goes directly to combat skipping Sherriff Hemlock's Before You Act check. There are others I found, will add more as I remember them, find them again
  21. Hi, there have been a couple of bugs which we as community were able to track down, fix and test. The idea was to make an unofficial patch mod for the game, plus provide the solutions if you would want to incorporate them into one of the future (if any) official updates. What was done: 1. Fixed inflicted DoT damage not being tracked/registered in "Total Damage Done". 2. Fixed an issue with DoTs not benefiting from Elemental talents (Scion of Flame, Heart of the Storm, Secrets of Rime, Spirit of Decay). 3. Fixed an issue with DoTs not benefiting from Race Slayer talents (Beast Slayer, Primal Bane, Ghost Hunter, Sanctifier, Wilder Hunter). 4. Fighter's ability Take the Hit will no longer protect non party characters (there was a problem where it would affect charmed enemies). 5. Fixed an issue where charm and dominate effects could unexpectedly break if affected character had no target despite enemies being in range. 5.b. Last enemy will no longer break charm and dominate effects immediately. These effects will last at least 5s, and player will be notified with "<Creature> has broken free!" message. 6. Consume potions duration reduced from 2.33s to 1s 7. Going invisible (Shadowing Beyond, Withdraw) will no longer end combat if there are enemies in range (12 range, 3s linger). And the more detailed list: BUG #1 PROBLEM: DoT damage done by the party members is not registered in the "Total Damage Done" section on their character sheet. Which makes it hard to estimate their damage contribution.   22. I have latest versions of PoE (2.13.0.18) and both additions white march I and II (3.06.2.54) from gog.com and I have a pink screen when I enter the white march. Re-installation of the game and additions didn't help. The patches available on gog are elder than my installed version. I have Windows 7 64.
  23. Hello! This is my first fourm post and I'll cut to the chase. I sent Hiravias to escort Berolt from Caed Nua. I didn't want to go to Twin Elms without him so I did some WM II quests while I waited for his six days to finish up. When he got back all of his loot was gone and stark naked (this is really disheartening because he had two soul weapons bound to him along with an invisible cloak) and he was under level. When I tried to level him up his name wasn't even Hiravias anymore but "tGender" and then two of him spawned! However only one of them could follow me while the other just stood still. I've got some screenshots as proof PLEASE HELP! I have only one save before buggy!Hiravias shows up and unfortunately, I don't have any saves made before I sent him to escort Berolt.   24. I am using a Galaxy Neo 5S and Android 6.0.1 Blocker: 1) Jordimandus unbeatable When encountering Jordimandus, the random monster is summoned. Once beaten, the monster is banished and Jordimandus disappear, ending the exploration. On next exploration, you encounter Jordimandus again with the same effect. Minor: 2) Discussion text not appearing When there is a discussion between heroes and NPC, no text appears. 3) Adventure rules unreadable When choosing the starting location of heroes, the adventure specific rules appears blurred. Each character is replaced by a pink rectangle.
  25. There's a lot of bugs in the game. 1. Completing daily quests doesn't register. I just cleared the required quest with only Lem and nothing. It's happened with the clear on Legendary as well. 2.Whenever I open chests I get 50% of items from the B deck and the rest from the first 2 decks. I only care about getting more deck 6 items and I get one every 7 chests, if I'm lucky... Am I supposed to do something to improve the odds? 3. Teleport sometimes moves characters from different zones as well. It happened to me in the battle for the dam when I cast it with Seoni, Lini was moved as well. 4. Acquiring allies with spells or cards, even when it's from the deck doesn't trigger the close location option. 5. (The worst one) whenever I use the "move at the end of your turn" location power the game gets stuck and I can't do anything. Relaunching the game multiple times can randomly "fix" it, but it's still annoying. 6. Allies often have the ! as if they had something they can do despite not being the case. 7. The treasure book that you can reveal at the end of the turn to draw a new spell doesn't work correctly, it doesn't ask to banish another spell. I'm probably forgetting a lot of them..
