I was doing the quest for the Vailian ambassador and I had to fight the group once they found out I wasn't the real buyer. That's the first point my character started doing 2000+ damage per hit. Even though the weapon stats are normal, look at my stats on the left (Defense are weird too): I'm not sure if this is related, but it's also something buggy that I noticed:

Bug: some zones inaccessible

Hi, so i'm at the point in the game where i need to or go and hand in a quest in Ondra's Gift but whenever i try and go into either zone my game crashes really hard on the loading screen and i need to go and shut it down in task manager. This is making it impossible to progress, despite me being able to go into other zones just fine. Wondering if this is a known bug? I've tried verifying the game cache over steam.-

I just got Sagani, a hunter NPC, and when I activated her Wounding Shot ability she ran right up to an enemy and died... I checked the range on the ability and it says it's 0.5m (base 6m) which makes no sense. The base range is 6m which should be extended by her Intellect which is 13. Instead it's decreased to melee range... My steam's Pillars of Eternity "Current Content BuildID" is 577767 if that helps. My game should be at the latest patch version as of Apr 5 2015 as steam is set to auto update this game.

So I decided to try a custom companion and went to bar to hire one. I make a mage and remove Aloth from the party. As I go over my new mage to adjust her grimoire, I notice that all 1st level spells are unassigned (no written spells). So I click on them to assign them, nothing happens. 2nd and 3rd level spells work fine. I go back to the castle and bring in Aloth. Then notice that 3 grimoires he had in his quickslots are gone. They aren't in the stash either. I drop another character and bring in the new mage again and give her Aloth grimoire and scribe/learn a few spells from him. I go in to adjust again, now 1st level spells work properly and I can assign them, but 2nd level spells don't. The only spell I could put in was Necrotic Lance. Clicking on others does nothing again. Very weird

I found bug in main quest. That it is step by step: I went to Domenels House gave them stone and took the quest to kill someone in knight's hall. In the Knights community I finished 2 quests (about machines and undeads) I found it more interesting so... ....so in Trading Company quest when Domenels appeared I killed them I believed that NOW Knights or the Travelers would give me new quest (domenels attitude was bad), BUT because I took Domenels killing quest (and didnt finish it) they said that I had good relations with Domenels so they wouldnt give me new quests. So...I went to Domenels house and... killed all of them =) Then I returned to Knights and.... nothing, they still thought that Domenels are friends of mine, same with 3rd community I thought "who cares" and went to the East. But after 3-4 hours of gameplay I found that I had to finish one of those quest to meet the king!!!! But all Domenels are dead, and Knights with 3-d community just dont wanna give me the new quests. It's impossible to finish main quest now =((( I think that Knights and 3-d community have to change their attitude after you break relations with Domenels. It's some kind of BUG. Yes I killed all Domenels and can't take quest from them, my fault. But all Domenels are dead how can Knights say that I have good relations with them. patch 1.03 does not help. Its so sad.. -
Description says it would pause in case 1 of your party members can barely scratch the enemy target due to targeted enemy high DR .. Critical to do something about it most of the times (change target/weapon/action ) .. Why would I care (to pause) when enemies can barely scratch my party due to my characters high DR ? Everything is going according to plan - no need for warning/corrective action .. If you set your tank properly and position him/her properly game will needlessly auto-pause for most enemy attacks vs your tank .. ( /s poor enemies cannot penetrate my armor - what could I to to help them ? Perhaps remove my armor ? ..s/)

Prayer Against Bewilderment

This spell claims that it "Grants a bonus to resist any attack containing the Dazed or Confused afflictions. If those afflictions are already on the target, their durations are reduced." However when I used it in a fight against the Vithracki bounty, it did not target my confused party members because they were not considered allies due to being confused. -
*Update: Nevermind, problem resolved* I seem to be missing a dialog option when talking with Nedmar in Raedric's Hold Sanctuary. I have freed Giacco, returned to Nedmar, but the this is what Nedmar says to me now: I was expecting an available reponse such as, "I freed Giacco. Now please show me how to get into Raedric's personal sanctuary next to the throne room." I exited the game and loaded it back up and I get the same dialog options from Nedmar. I also tried choosing the "I need to rest" option and then talking to him again, but same thing. I got into the keep through the sewers, through the jail where I opened Giacco's cell and told him to stay put. I killed Osyra, went up to the ramparts and killed some mercs/guards, went back to dungeon/crypt, went upstairs to kitchen, went upstairs to sanctuary, put on robes, sweet-talked my way past all the staff, talked to Nedmar and we agreed that I would free Giacco and then he would get me into Raedric's personal sanctuary located beside the throne room. I went back to Giacco's cell, told him that Nedmar sent me to free him, told him that I'd killed Osyra and that he should leave Raedric's hold. Then he walked off. I went back to Nedmar and I don't have an option to tell him I freed Giacco. I can't upload my save game because it's too large. I also tried to split it using 7-zip so that I can upload it in two chunks, but I get an upload error saying I am not allowed to upload that file type (.zip.001 and .zip.002). Thanks *Edit* I'm playing with the Steam version of Pillars fo Eternity, which updated yesterday. *Edit 2* I forgot to include the status of the quest in my journal: Yes it appears to be missing the part about me freeing Giacco and killing Osyra. *Edit 3* I went back to check the cell again and Giacco is back in it... I freed him again and my journal updated with that fact. Nedmar now gives me the correct options.

So I was playing on a fire godlike fighter account with a party of 4 (including me) and tried to kill readric. I soon found out, I can't kill him with all his guards, so I tried to leave the castle to buy gear and gather more people. However, each time I try to go outside of the castle, I get a loading screen and then my screen turns black and my cursor becomes the "cancel" icon (the red circle with the line through it). This happens when I leave from any area of the building that I have tried and therefore I am trapped inside it (found some pretty cool loot though...) I'll continue to try and kill readric, because maybe that'll help, but I still think this is an issue. I tried attaching the game files but it didn't work. The only thing I can post is the system specs: OS X Yosmite Version 10.10.2 MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB I'll report back if I manage to get through, but as of yet I can't. You guys made a great game, so keep up the good work!

Edit. I did see in another thread you clarified that you realize you have NOT fixed the story progression bug. The bug list is misleading tho as it seems to say it fixed it. I suppose will just have to keep waiting. This is a pretty big bug tho I hope it's fixed soon. I can't play anymore of the game until it gets fixed. There WILL be spoilers in this posts about Factions. The patch notes talked about fixing the game-breaking bug of not being able to continue in the game due to the factions not working correctly. Well this patch was suppose to fix that. However it doesn't. It's still just as broken as before. I started with the merchant quest and sided with the Doemenels because they offered a better reward for my services. This gained me a "in" with the Doemenel family faction. Than I did the quest for the Crucible Knights. I saved the girl. Got the research notes. Turned it in and realized you get an awesome reward for it. So than went to the Dozens to try to screw them over. I accepted their quest and tried my hardest to ruin them. However this didn't entirely work instead I ended up as a Hero to them. So at this point I was a hero to the Dozens. I'm a Champion with the Knights. And I'm a Friend of the Doemenels. Now I went back to the Doemenels to see about getting my just rewards from them as well. Except they found the note from early in the game where I killed their would be robbers. And Instead of being praised for siding with them I was told I had to do their dirty work. So I said screw that. I went and turned them in to the neighbors next door. THAN I robbed the gem upstairs for myself. By the way there is nothing you can do with this gem after you beg the house owner for extra money and than rob him. The Doemenels think they've failed. And the guy no longer cares that you carry the very diamond he paid you and thanked you for saving. Now the Doemenels only talk about having failed and hence won't invite me to the hearings. The champions hate me even tho I'm their champion because I helped the Dozens. And the Dozens hate me because I'm a Knight lackey. Even tho all three of these factions I have very high reputation with. Worse yet. Lady Webb even with this patch still doesn't let me join her to enter the hearings. So the story is STILL stuck and I cannot continue the game. I did all those faction things as soon as I got ot the city. Theres over 35hours of game time since than. I would have to start so far back to fix this one bug. Please figure out a way to correct this bug for real. I'm really enjoying the game and would like to continue to do so.

Scouting Mode bug?

I am not sure this is a bug or just an strange behaviour decided by the devs. If you have Scouting Mode enabled and you start a conversation, when you finish it, Scouting Mode gets automatically disabled. Is that a bug? I find it really unhelpful if it's not. It makes me press ALT key all the time after a conversation (I like to go Scouting all time in dungeons). Cheers! -
Hello, I'm experiencing a bug with the Changing of the Guard quest. I've received the quest to assasinate Wenfeld in Crucible Keep. After I assasinate him, however, it is not giving me any option I can see to leave the Dozens Token at the Alter. The alter is grey, probably because I clicked on it on a previous visit to Crucible Keep (before receiving the quest). Am I missing something? Thanks, Astos

Bug report: I have text size turned up to max because of short-sightness. (ps: thank you for this feature!) Not everything works smoothly. e.g. sometimes text wraps badly when examining items or reading lore. See screenshot. Running Windows 7 x64, with the latest patch (downloaded today, 4-4-2015) ps. apologies if this has already been reported; I am avoiding spoilers so have not read the forum.

It is larger than the inventory space, as though it was being manipulated by the cursor, but it is not. Here's an example of the problem while the item is equipped by a character. This is the item next to another hatchet, which does not have this problem. Also in the screenshot is a hammer and chisel, being moved by the cursor, in an attempt to demonstrate that Hearth Harvest is not currently being held by the cursor. Edit: This problem was not present in v1.02.
