I saw this on Reddit, http://www.reddit.com/r/projecteternity/comments/30lmx2/psa_doubleclicking_equipment_bug/, so credit to user Kirur for pointing it out, but I wasn't sure if he or she would post it here, as I have tested it myself. There's a webm in the thread for the lazy, http://webmup.com/HArIv/vid.webm Essentially, double clicking to equip armor removes all passive buffs including racials. Pretty gamebreaking if you ask me. Hopefully there's a way to patch back in buffs you've lost, otherwise I'm going to have to restart my 10 hour game.
  2. Hi, my game keeps crashing when I try to leave the Black Hammer Smithery. It gets into the loading screen, stays there for a few seconds and then throws me onto the desktop. I am playing the Steam version. The crash reports, specs and savegame can be found here (I'd use the file attachment function if it wouldn't keep giving me error messages).
  3. Hello! Just wanted to mention two bugs I came across: 1) The prices in Black Hammer Smithery are suddenly (?) massively inflated. Every item they sell is ~100x more expensive than in other locations and I could get 10x more from items I sell to them. I think it started after I brought back the missing shipment. 2) Cloaks are not displayed. When my characters wear a cloak, it's invisible in the game. It seems to be the same bug as in the Mac version, only I'm playing on Linux (Mint 17.1 Cinnamon 64bit, NVidia GTX460 with NVidia drivers).
  4. Hello all im triying to complete this quest to get Pallegina and i decided to Save the Merchant and kill the ambushers bug for some reason the quest wont complete ? name of the quest "AT ALL COST" Defeat Dana Doemenel . could anyone help
  5. After playing for a while there is a stuttering sound played. It sounds like a page in a book beeing flipped, just repeated endlessly in a very short interval. It's pretty annoying... It happend around five times now: first time after ~1hour, last time after ~10 minutes. When doing save, quit and load it goes away. It does not go away when I just save and load.
  6. I'm reporting the ranger companion issue as well. I was playing in Caed Nua trying to find that wizard master guy in the "The Old Watcher" quest in the "Endless Paths of Od Nua Level 1" area. I went up the back stairs where you walk across Dr. Manhattan's hand and pop out the cellar door in Caed Nua's courtyard. Wolf was still with me. Went back in the door with that creepy statue lady who's probably a cat lady in a past life. Wolf was still with me. Went downstairs and opened the heavy iron door and my wolf up and ran off. Probably joined a circus. Left a white circle behind as the only memento. What a jerk. I beat the dude with the serious case of MPD and went to look for my wolf. I thought maybe his disappearance was part of the quest. Nope. "You must gather your party before venturing forth." OK. Reload my save from after crazypants' encounter and the wolf didn't reappear. I reloaded my save from immediately before and wolf-bro is there. Yay! I opened the iron door back into Maerwald's panic room and my wolf followed me in through the event transition. Yay! I reloaded the working save again, and purposefully moved my wolf where he'd be stuck on some of the environment when my party opened the heavy iron door to the Maerwald event. BAM. We transitioned and the wolf disappeared. It seems that he needs to be in view of the door to transition properly. The bug only hits some of the time, not every time. Hope the description helps.   7. Hello again, It's an embarrassing thing to say, but I've just noticed on my first walkthrough of the game a bug that may have been consistenly going on for at least a few hours. I have an Island Aumaua with the racial Ability Armed to the Teeth, which grants an additional quickdraw slot to the hero. So far so good. After a few savegames, I noticed that the weapons on my third quickdraw where dyed in red and I could not equip them anymore. After removing them from the slot, a padlock appeared on it as if I had not acquired the ability and now I cannot use it. I've change instances, reloaded previous games-though, as I said, I didn't quite catch it on time- but the problem still persists.   8. Hello, I started a new game today, and noticed this weird sound issue. It sounds like it may be a Chest opening, or a page turning, but its repeating constantly. The first time it happened I was attacking the Wolf at the very beginning area near the berries. Thought it would go away after I loaded into the next area in the caves. It didn't so I saved and closed the game. Reopened and it was gone. Then I proceeded to open a chest and it started again. Closed and Reopened. Opened chest again and it did not do it. Proceeded to the pillars that you light with your torch and it started doing it again. Not sure what it is but it is very annoying. I tired to attached my files for but it won't let me Thank you, proppaganda
  9. POE has a Gameplay option named similarly to an old Infinity Engine one: Auto-pause on Weapon Ineffective. The purpose of this gameplay feature has historically been to let you know when the weapon you're using to attack your target is ineffective, whether due to innate damage reduction, protection spells, or your weapon broke among others. In POE, I enabled this option because it's useful information to be alerted to, and I was confused because it was going off all the time from my very first combat encounter - nearly every round in combat with: Auto-pause: Weapon ineffective (your character name). My character's a fighter and came with a sword and I was thinking, "Are they really throwing enemies that are highly resistant to swords this early in the game?! They're just bandits!". A little later on when I was fighting a single young wolf, I paid special attention to what was going on. I finally noticed that it was only auto-pausing with the weapon ineffective message every time *I* was hit by the enemy. It's pausing to alert me that the enemy's weapon is ineffective on me. If it's intentional, this seems completely backwards and broken compared to previous implementations of the feature and for it to have any use in this game. (I posted this in general and it was suggested that I post it here in the tech support forums.)
  10. Once I'm within the options menu (within the game), I can't leave. This window asking me to save changes keeps returning, regardless of whether I click Yes or No. I have to quit the game entirely and can only use quick saves and quick loads to record my progress.

  12. So I began playing the game yesterday and really got into it in no time at all. I am really pleased with the intricacies of the game logic and love the narrative writing. The visuals and music are also absolutely stunning. The one little glitch-type issue I am running into, which is rather disorienting after getting immersed in the game, is that sometimes the character voice overs start part-way through their dialogue. This has happened from time to time both in legitimate dialogue as well as when characters speak to comment on something while just wandering around. An example of this is would be if a character were to say something like: "We should be careful in this place." the text will display just fine (thank goodness) but the audio voice over might start somewhere like: ". . .ul in this place." Although I often read subtitles and such, it is still really bothersome. I have not seen any other posts about this issue and thought that if anyone else was experiencing they could comment, suggest fixes, or get Obsidian's attention to patch it.
  13. In the area Anslog's Compass there are (at least) three hidden stash locations that contain a page from Fulvano's Travels. If you put them in the stash together they stack. Each of the three pages is supposed to have a different story (one about the gloves, one about the boots, one about the compass) but when they become stacked they evidently seem to take the form of the first one in the stash. So now I've got three Fulvano's Travels pages that all discuss his gloves, even when I take them out of the stash and separate them.
  14. Apologies if this is the wrong forum, i posted this to the steam community discussions and was told to come here. There's a quest in Gilded Vale called Against the Grain. It's listed under the tasks section in the journal. I talked to Trumbel and convinced him to lower the grain prices, then went to Sweynur to report such. While in the conversation with Sweynur, i saw that i had a diplomatic dialogue choice asking him to let up on Trumbel. I took it, thinking i could get a sort of "everyone ends up working together" sort of thing going for the end of this quest. Turns out though, if you choose that dialogue option, Sweynur tells you to go back to Trumbel and tell him that they'll lay off him, but you can't do that. You can't tell Trumbel anything, as he just gives the ordinary "This won't last." floating text. You also cannot talk to Sweynur after this, as he just continues to tell you to go speak to Trumbel, effectively making the quest incompletable.
  15. I am running the game in windowed mode with cage cursor enabled. On loading the game, the game briefly appears halfway between my first and second monitor. After fully loading, it fixes itself - however, the caged cursor seems to think the screen is still in it's original position, and so I cannot select half of the screen. Alt tabbing out does seem to remedy this for now.
  16. In the very first area where you see the dark priest and 3 disciples infront of the ancient relic. If you keep pressing esc to skip the scene it results in the sound progressing but the scene it self to stall. The game it self does not crash as you can still see the movement in the Dark Priests robe. But the sound continues forward but the rest of the animations besides the robe are stalled [ The temple - the soul sucking rays - etc ]

  18. After a 'level-up' I inspected Eder gear to see if I couldn't find him something more apropriate. However, as shown on screenshots below, the damage properties of his equipped Sabre was 13-19 when I was hovering a Sword in his inventory, and 14-21 when I was hovering the actual equipped Sabre. Is it normal? Did I missunderstand something?
  19. My character is stuck in terrain, on Rodrik Keep sewers. Closing game and reloading didn't help. Cannot switch instances. Is there code for teleporting character? EDIT: If anybody gets the same bug, solution is painful : tylde + "iroll20s" + "manageparty". I lost my achievemnts but at least I can progress :/
  20. I do realize other people have made posts about this, just wanted to throw some more output logs and saves into the mix. I did attempt the restart fix, but it was a no go. Not sure if you guys need more outputs and saves, but there they are.   21. I moved an open book window to the lower part of the screen and now I cannot move it up again. I cannot read any books! I can only move the window left and right, and down, but it will not move up past about 10% of the screen. Help.
  22. I was able to play the game a little bit, then had to leave the computer for a couple of hours. When I came back, the game had crashed to desktop. A message popped up, saying it would be nice to send a particular folder to devs (could not find folder, did not provide address to send folder). Tried to load my save- crash. Try to start new game- gets through character creation, then crashes. The same message pops up every time. Guys, I really liked the little bit I played. Please help!
  23. - Graphics: Cage Cursor stops working after conversations. I'm using 2 monitors and GTX660. Need to disable and turn on again to get it working after every conversation/cutscene.
  24. Ive ran intoa small, but annoying glitch. every time I win a battle, a sound like ripping paper cycles until I either restart or turn the audio option for effects all the way down, other than that the game is great so far.
  25. When you boot up the game it seems to think the game window is half on one monitor and half on the other. Alt-tabbing in and out fixes it, but I find I continually have to do that during play. Anyone else have this issue or know of a fix?
