  1. [bug description] Hello, I have the GOG version of PoE, after installing the GOG patch 1.0.3.530 I encountered a bug: I can't open any container in game. Combat loot containers, normal containers and hidden containers too are broken, I can hear the opening sound but no container GUI menù appears so I can't pick up any object inside them. Loading a previous savegame doesn't solve anything; loading a savegame created from a previous PoE build doesn't solve anything. [steps to reproduce it] - Install the GOG version of PoE (first build, non patched); - Start a game; - Verify that you can open containers like chests, corpse loot containers, hidden containers; - Save the game; - Patch PoE with GOG 1.0.3.530 patch; - Load the game; - Verify that you can't open containers anymore, seeing no container GUI menù to appear. [Expected behavior] Containers should open as it was like in the previous PoE build. [PC specs] - OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 - CPU - AMD FX-9370 - RAM - 8GB DDR3@1600MHz - GPU - Gygabyte AMD Radeon HD 7860 [savegames] BeforePatch_1_0_3_530.zip This is from April 5th, 2015, Eothas Temple; AfterPatch_1_0_3_530.zip This is from today April 8th, 2015, in the Bear Cave. [output_log] output_log.txt EDIT: [possible workaround, post here if this works or not] - Close PoE; - Restart PoE; - Load a savegame. Verify if you are able to open containers again, if yes, problem "solved". ATM I don't know if the issue might reoccur.
  2. I have several bugs Lord of a Barren Land: I killed Raedric and looted his body but it does not register in my quest log or complete the quest. I have exited the hold and returned to gilded vale and still nothing happens. I also encountered the key bug in Raedric's Hold where I cannot use the key given to me by Nedmar. At all costs: I chose to protect Verzano. After killing Danna Doemenel the quest was not completed. To complete the quest I reloaded and chose to let Verzano die. This was the only way to complete the quest for me. Finally, several of my party members have blindness that will not go away even after a rest.
  3. Current Content Build ID: 579590 What's gone done got broked? After downloading the latest patch on steam (It was ~578mb) and then loading up my game, i immediately noticed my characters feet were pink and any of my characters obscured by something, such as my rogue half behind the gate, and his pet dragonling. Weird, but i thought it might go away. Walked off and entered scouting/stealth mode and suddenly all my entire party turned a shade of pink. I tried changing areas and restarting the game, and also playing with the graphics settings but to no avail. Here are my current settings: So going back into the game and deciding to just play on i discovered it also occurs on items (aka dead bodies yet to be looted) on the ground where there shadow would normally be and also on NPC's as they entered/left the fog of war. Though i forgot to screenshot those. Then i opened my map to quickly move somewhere and saw this: Eww... It stayed like that as i moved around and had the same strange... stuff, all over it on other maps too. Though when you moved the mouse over either a character or a map marker it changed to this: Have attached a DxDiag and the output log. I know i'm not currently running the latest drivers for my graphics card, but i'm still using the same drivers/setting i was using yesterday before this patch and while i was having no graphical glitches like this, so i don't imagine that that is actually the issue unless something major was changed to affect the way model/spite shading works in the latest patch.   4. As of 1.03. The Ring of Protection has the effects: Of Fortitude: +10 Fortitude Of Reflex: +10 Reflex Of Will: +10 Will Toughness 2: +4 Fortitude Reflex bonus 2: +4 Reflex Of Resolve: +2 Resolve When you equip it, however, the rings own +10 Fortitude/Reflex stats suppresses its +4 Fortitude/Reflex stats, so equipping the item grants +10 Fortitude/Reflex/Will and +2 Resolve, not +14 Fortitude/Reflex, +10 Will, and +2 Resolve as expected.
  5. Hello, AI stopped working, happens on Searing Falls. I have a feeling it happened while fighting the boss in the cave, I didn't realised it at first but I stopped taking damage during this fight. I thought it was odd considering the enemy. My companions are only NPC (Durance, Aloth, Eder, Kana, Sagani). Casted all available spell and also used summons (3 drakes, spider and the one from the horn). After that, the AI stopped attacking me (any fight, any map). E.g. I cleaned Pearlwood buff without taking any damage. I don't have a save from the earlier fight in the cave so I can't go back again but luckily I saved before clearing Pearlwood buff (when I realised it was bugged) so I will restart from there. Anyone getting this bug, reloading from backup save didn't fix it either, restarting the game however fixed the issue.
  6. I've seen a couple of people posting this as an issue on reddit a few days ago.. Thought it might have been patched by now and it's my mistake, let me know if there's a special requirement.
  7. I found bug in main quest. I went to Domenels House and took the quest to kill someone in knight's hall. In the Knights community I finished 2 quests (about machines and undeads) I found it more interesting so... ....so in Trading Company quest when Domenels appeared I killed them I believed that NOW Knights or the Travelers would give me new quests (Domenels attitude was bad after I killed those group), BUT because I took Domenels killing quest (and didnt finish it) they said that I had good relations with Domenels so they wouldnt give me new quests. So...I went to Domenels house and... killed all of them =) Then I returned to Knights and.... nothing, they still thought that Domenels are friends of mine, same with 3rd community I thought "who cares" and went to the East. But after 3-4 hours of gameplay I found that I had to finish one of those quests to meet the king!!!! But all Domenels are dead, and Knights with 3-d community just dont wanna deal with me. It's impossible to finish main quest now =((( I think that Knights and 3-d community have to change their attitude after I broke relations with Domenels. It's some kind of BUG. Yes I killed all Domenels, my fault. But all Domenels are dead how can Knights say that I have good relations with them. patch 1.03 does not help. Its so sad..   8. Hello folks. Just the description of the thread; My achievemens disappears to one day to another. I never used cheats, never. 31+ hours played with different chars, 12+ with the most advanced character. If I remember well yesterday I had them. So.. ¿ bug ? known bug ? I must bite my tongue and f*** myself ?
  9. After getting 2nd Hotfix for 1.3 I opened the game was at Readerics Castle decided to go back to the Stronghold. After a small period of loading the game crashed. Might have been better to have Primary character name + Location. Considering players with multiple characters would have a hard time figuring out which one is associated to which from random numbers. Anywho crash log + savegame attached. 2015-04-08_011946.zip 400a002a7e6943a2a75acf5bbdfabc39 8433216 RaedricsHold.zip Update 1: Worked after restarting steam But I ended up getting an event which doesn't seem possible. A Cipher came asking for a job. I don't have a barracks or Main hall even constructed yet.
  10. I'm reporting the ranger companion issue as well. I was playing in Caed Nua trying to find that wizard master guy in the "The Old Watcher" quest in the "Endless Paths of Od Nua Level 1" area. I went up the back stairs where you walk across Dr. Manhattan's hand and pop out the cellar door in Caed Nua's courtyard. Wolf was still with me. Went back in the door with that creepy statue lady who's probably a cat lady in a past life. Wolf was still with me. Went downstairs and opened the heavy iron door and my wolf up and ran off. Probably joined a circus. Left a white circle behind as the only memento. What a jerk. I beat the dude with the serious case of MPD and went to look for my wolf. I thought maybe his disappearance was part of the quest. Nope. "You must gather your party before venturing forth." OK. Reload my save from after crazypants' encounter and the wolf didn't reappear. I reloaded my save from immediately before and wolf-bro is there. Yay! I opened the iron door back into Maerwald's panic room and my wolf followed me in through the event transition. Yay! I reloaded the working save again, and purposefully moved my wolf where he'd be stuck on some of the environment when my party opened the heavy iron door to the Maerwald event. BAM. We transitioned and the wolf disappeared. It seems that he needs to be in view of the door to transition properly. The bug only hits some of the time, not every time. Hope the description helps.   11. On both of my saves...I am on Act 3. I just get to Elmshore. I go back to my Stronghold to change out party members(because I never had a reason to change them back after taking Kana down into the Endless Paths). When I arrive...I open the party management pane. I try to change party members. I cannot do so. They get removed from my party window at the bottom left...but the actual characters stay selectable on the main window screen. I change out Kana....he appears with a diamond on his head at the center of the stronghold map. It does not matter the ones I try to change. I am actually stuck with my party members...which means I cannot complete companion quests that require them to be in my party. This is most likely related to the fact that if I were to go into Bright Hollow...I cannot zone into the second floor without having a black screen. I have a cursor like normal...but everything is black. Sometimes I hear character movement if I click somewhere, but I cannot even get a single window to pop up...not even pressing escape works. I have to Alt-Tab out and close down the game. My saves are effectively screwed until you can fix this. Im shut out of content and cannot enjoy the game in this state. Could someone please help me? I have over almost 60-70h invested so far. This is very disheartening.
  12. My Stronghold was attacked by Drakes and some Xaurips, including a Priest. I'm not entirely sure what happened during the chaotic fight but afterwards, my hirelings were hostile to me, possibly because I hit them with a spell by accident or because something converted them. The problem is that now all hirelings are hostile forever, no matter what I do, except one who shouldn't even exist (I killed him during the fight, yet there he is inside the main hall). Dismissing and reaquiring hirelings doesn't help and some of them don't dissapear anyway: Any new people I hire are instantly and permanently hostile, attacking me on sight in my own stronghold. Saving and reloading doesn't help, resting doesn't help and changing location doesn't help (eg. to the nearby woods and back), so it appears this permanently breaks hirelings in my game. Thankfully, I'm the paranoid type in these games, so I have a save just before the fight where everything should be working and a save where all of them are hostile. System specs shouldn't really matter on this one, I wonder if someone out there is willing to attempt to replicate it (eg. fireball a hireling or something)?
  13. Hello, Since 1.03 I encountered a variety of bugs with the UI. The first looted item per game state appears in the following loot tables. There it will move from the "loot all" symbol to the "stash" symbol in 1 second where it disappears (It was "Living Wood" for me) Some item icons don't scale properly. I have found the axe "Hearth Harvest" i.e. which is taking twice the space of an inventory spot: Additionally, when I reload the game the hunter pet is not with the party but appears in another place on the map. Happened once so far.
  14. Hope I found the right spot to post this issue here. Does not seem too serious to me. There should be an autosave available when entering the sanatorium. Quest: The Man Who Waits Problem Description: After talking to the Head Warden Ethelmoer start the questioning with Audmer. Instead of asking for any suspicious activities first choose "Do you know anything about the Awakenings". After that the dialog option for the quest disappears and the quest is not updated. Workaround: Use quest dialog option in the beginning. Savegame can be provide if necessary. Cheers, Goldfishslayer
  15. Description: Custom formation is based on character index in selection instead of character itself or character index in party. Selecting only some of the party will rearrange formation. How to reproduce: 1. Make a custom formation: _ 1 _ 2 3 4 5 6 2. Now select only characters 2-6 3. Move selected members a few steps in order to update formation 4. Formation is now (Actual result): _ 2 _ 3 4 5 6 Expected result: _ _ _ 2 3 4 5 6 How reproducible: 100%
  16. Hello everyone! First, i want to say the best words for creators of Pillars of Eternity! I falled in love with it at first 10 minutes of playing! Sorry for my English. Here some bug i found in Pillars of Eternity 1.03. 1. ALT button isn't working. I changed my control settings (cause default settings actualy is not playable) and set LeftAlt for Highlight Items. Close and save changes. Then i tryied to hold LeftAlt on, but nothin is happened at all. Then i return a default set of Highlight Items on floor (TAB). And it is working. So i beggin' you to fix this problem. Please! I have MS Windows 8.1 x64, PoE 1.0.3. 2. Default control settings - disgusting (rly). Here a best settings, based on 20+ years of game practice and world rpg-gaming standarts: Camera Up - W Camera Down - S Camera Left - A Camera Right - D Highlight Items - LeftAlt (Diablos, Path of Exile, Neverwinters etc.) Map - TAB (Diablo, Path of Exile etc.) Double Speed - E Half Speed - Q Pick All Items from container - R (Skyrim...) Select All Units - Z (cause A is used) With these settings any player would feel more comfort with playing (just try, and tell me i'm wrong ) ) Or Create a Contro Settings Sets (2 ot 3...).   17. Everything worked great yesterday (04/05/2015). Today, when entering stealth mode or walking behind something in the fore ground, it turns my characters purple... The map is also super messed up. Please let me know if there is anything in settings I could try to toggle to get it back to normal. I have already tried loading a previous save and loading a new area, as well as changing resolution and windowed mode. In addition I can not upload anything here. It is saying upload failed for a 364 KB .jpg System Info
  18. Hey, I've randomly encountered a bug when I equipped Black and White Cat pet found inside the Valtas Manor. This permanently raised both my accuracy scores by 5, and reequipping her stacked this effect up to infinity (or probably int max, haven't tested this behavior that extensively ). Reload from last save and ignoring the cat solved everything, but I had to go through the Valtas fight again, so this bug may be a little annoying. Also, I cannot have that adorable little kitten without cheating - such a loss... :'( Windows version, patch 1.03 from GOG (downloaded today - not sure if that's before or after hotfix)
  19. So I planed on making my own personal post about this topic, since i did not see anyone else having this problem on these forums. But google directed me to a fellow on Reddit that has had the same issue, but was unable to post it here. His link is here http://www.reddit.com/r/projecteternity/comments/31ccgp/bug_getting_unlimited_xp_after_completing_the/ Essentially the cause seems unknown since, when mine started and his and everyone that commented all appeared at different times and places without much in common. But after performing some? action and completing a quest afterwards in that save or in some cases picking a lock you get exp but you get it continually without stopping(screenshots in the link), in my case it gives the xp to the first person in your 6 man line up. If you move the portraits it starts giving the unlimited xp whomever is in the first slot and none of the others. With that it sounds similar to that stat boost bug, as in its like a cheat that gives xp only you dont even get to play the game that way because the exp never stops, it prevents you from saving your game and when you try to switch zones the screen goes black and crashes. Any saves that has the bug is unplayable, unfortunately in my case all 3 of my saves have the bug since they are all around the same time frame, but in the Reddit post someone was able to load a old save and could play again without problems, which is good but in my case and anyone in a similar case we aren't able to play the game until it is fixed without making a new character.
  20. After saving the girl in the temple, Aloth stays hooked and disappears from the group, I resigned to continue without him but every time I change me on the map, I can not talk to or anything. What I can do?

  22. Image above is example. they are just 'exceptional' weapon and have same description with normal weapon. Especially almost all weapon at OG's 2nd floor. Is this intended?
  23. Obsidian, While Manual-Resolving attacks on Caed Nua, with defenders present (8/8), if the attackers have a character that is capable of CHARMING; all 8 of your defenders turn and kill you. If you slay them, every defender you ever hire in your keep is an enemy for the rest of the game. This bug ruined over 150 hours of gameplay on a saved file. I cannot ever hire an employee in my keep ever again. No matter how many saves, reloads, etc. they are always enemies. Please fix this ASAP.
  24. Hi I crash every signle time I try to travel to Gilded Vale after leaving the collapsed cage and traveling through the woods. Is this a common bug and will it be adressed in this weeks coming patch? I really(!!) want to play the game, but so far I can not progress past the second game location:( Thx in advance
  25. Had a party member who was paralyzed. I cast Suppress Affliction on him He no longer showed as paralyzed on mouse-over. Instead he showed as being affected by Suppress Affliciton (all good so far). But he still couldn't move or attack. This lasted until Suppress Affliction wore off (and possibly until after the suppressed paralyzation wore off too) Suppress Affliction says that it negates all hostile effects for the duration of the spell, so it should have negated the paralysis.
