  1. This spell claims that it "Grants a bonus to resist any attack containing the Dazed or Confused afflictions. If those afflictions are already on the target, their durations are reduced." However when I used it in a fight against the Vithracki bounty, it did not target my confused party members because they were not considered allies due to being confused.
  2. Since recently I got a duplicate icon for the "Shadowing Beyond" abilitly with a text displayed saying either "Caps" or now "SysRes" Please see Screenshot, Savegame and Output.log. Happy Eastern!
  3. *Update: Nevermind, problem resolved* I seem to be missing a dialog option when talking with Nedmar in Raedric's Hold Sanctuary. I have freed Giacco, returned to Nedmar, but the this is what Nedmar says to me now: I was expecting an available reponse such as, "I freed Giacco. Now please show me how to get into Raedric's personal sanctuary next to the throne room." I exited the game and loaded it back up and I get the same dialog options from Nedmar. I also tried choosing the "I need to rest" option and then talking to him again, but same thing. I got into the keep through the sewers, through the jail where I opened Giacco's cell and told him to stay put. I killed Osyra, went up to the ramparts and killed some mercs/guards, went back to dungeon/crypt, went upstairs to kitchen, went upstairs to sanctuary, put on robes, sweet-talked my way past all the staff, talked to Nedmar and we agreed that I would free Giacco and then he would get me into Raedric's personal sanctuary located beside the throne room. I went back to Giacco's cell, told him that Nedmar sent me to free him, told him that I'd killed Osyra and that he should leave Raedric's hold. Then he walked off. I went back to Nedmar and I don't have an option to tell him I freed Giacco. I can't upload my save game because it's too large. I also tried to split it using 7-zip so that I can upload it in two chunks, but I get an upload error saying I am not allowed to upload that file type (.zip.001 and .zip.002). Thanks *Edit* I'm playing with the Steam version of Pillars fo Eternity, which updated yesterday. *Edit 2* I forgot to include the status of the quest in my journal: Yes it appears to be missing the part about me freeing Giacco and killing Osyra. *Edit 3* I went back to check the cell again and Giacco is back in it... I freed him again and my journal updated with that fact. Nedmar now gives me the correct options.
  4. 2 Similar bugs are described below. Additional details and notes are listed at the bottom in order to assist in reproduction of these issues. Note: My play-through initiated before the 1.3 patch. I've read that companion attributes have changed since the patch if you start a new character. I have not tested this bug with the new companion attributes to see if that might have changed the way this behaved but I suspect the issue is still prevalent there as well. If you have any questions, Please let me know! Bug 1 Version: 1.3 Platform: Steam Date: 4/4/2015 Description: When swapping between two items in different slots that give a bonus to the same attribute, permanent attribute loss can occur. Reproduction Items: Kana's Turban: +1 Intelligence Drinking Horn of Moderation +2 Intelligence Reproduction Steps: Equip Drinking Horn of Moderation (Int goes up by 2) Equip Kana's Turban (Int goes down by 1, Turban overrides the Horn's greater bonus) Remove Kana's Turban (Int goes down by 1) Remove Drinking Horn of Moderation (Int goes down by 2) Net Loss: 2 Intelligence When removing the Kana's Turban followed by removing the Horn of Moderation, a permanent 1 point stat loss occurs. Repeating this process can bring the intelligence stat down repeatedly. Note: As I am playing a Godlike character, I reproduced the steps above on the Kana Bug 2 Version: 1.3 Platform: Steam Date: 4/4/2015 Note: This bug is nearly identical to the first with one minor exception. See reproduction steps. Description: When wearing two items with similar attribute bonus', When swapping between two items in different slots that give an a bonus to the same attribute, permanent attribute loss can occur. Reproduction Steps: Equip Drinking Horn of Moderation (Int goes up by 2) Equip Kana's Turban (Int goes down by 1, Turban overrides the Horn's greater bonus) Remove Kana's Turban (Int goes down by 1) (Repeat steps 3 & 4: Each repetition drops Intelligence by 2, 1 Int for each step) Remove Drinking Horn of Moderation (Int goes down by 2) Temporary work around: Do not equip items that give a similar stat boost. First remove the stat boosting item and then equip the new item. Additional Details: When using Rundyl's Finery and Drinking Horn of Moderation, Attribute loss occurs as well. In bug 2 version, Attribute loss only occurs when removing one of the 2 items. At that time, 2 Attribute points are lost. Both items give 2 attribute points. Using 2 +1 items does not cause this to reproduce. Confirmed Bugs 1 and 2 also occur on Eder. Using Rundly's Finery and Drinking Horn of Moderation on Durance, I was only able to get Bug 2 to reproduce when I unequipped Rundyl's Finery but did not actually place the item back into the inventory. In order to reproduce this, simply drag the item from the character with the mouse and then drop the item back onto the chest piece without placing the item back into the inventory. I have been entirely unable to reproduce this issue with Lilith's Shawl (+3 perception) and Spider Fingers (+ 1 perception). It appears this may require the inclusion of at least 1 +2 Item.
  5. Description: Talking repeatedly to the Records Keeper in Ducal Palace can give you inifinite Reputation. Steps to Reproduce the Issue: After asking the Records Keeper in Ducal Palace about the records from the time of the Saint's War for Edér when you are still not established in Defiance Bay you have the option to identify yourself as foreigner if you have 17 Resolve. After some talking you get the option to answer to get reputation (for example 1: "I don't know." [Honest] and then 2: "I'll help you any way I can." [benevolent]). You can repeat this endlessly.   8. Hello, Since 1.03 I encountered a variety of bugs with the UI. The first looted item per game state appears in the following loot tables. There it will move from the "loot all" symbol to the "stash" symbol in 1 second where it disappears (It was "Living Wood" for me) Some item icons don't scale properly. I have found the axe "Hearth Harvest" i.e. which is taking twice the space of an inventory spot: Additionally, when I reload the game the hunter pet is not with the party but appears in another place on the map. Happened once so far.
  9. Conducted two tests after the latest patch (.0526), with a new party/campaign. My pc wizard (wood elf): lvl 4, con 8, endurance 57, health 197. Aloth, companion wizard (wood elf): lvl 4, con 10, endurance 180. Despite my pc wizard having lower endurance and lower constitution he has a larger health pool at the same level. I then tested edar (fighter, companion, at lvl 4): He had 102 endurance / 569 health. I disbanded him from the party, then reinvited him: he had 102 endurance/509 health. The latter stats seem more correct (only off by 1 which is probably due to rounding), since a fighters health is suppose to be 5xEndurance. Why it's getting up to 569 I don't know. I do buff my party members with food before tough fights, that the most likely cause. I also have my wizards cast infuse with vital essence, but that wouldn't explain the discrepancy with the fighter. So it's probably the food buffs not falling off with the saves. I've tried to reproduce this though, but so far haven't been able to force it to happen....
  10. So I have 2, possibly 3, achievements bugged on Steam. And before you say console commands, it's not that. I never used "iroll20s," and I got achievements all the way up to finishing the game. The first is the "All Upgrades in Stronghold" achievement. I currently do have them all built, but at one point, I "auto-resolved" a bandit attack which led to one of my upgrades getting destroyed. Maybe the bug has to do with this? *SPOILERS FOR DRAGONS* The second is "Kill All the Dragons." I have killed the Sky Dragon, the Adra Dragon, Cail the Silent (the dragon in the cave in Searing Falls), Drakes, Young Drakes, and the Shadow Drakes. All but Cail show up in my bestiary, but named creatures don't go in the bestiary anyways. I've heard that only the Sky, Adra and Cail count for the achievement, so I should have it. The only thing I can think of was when I went back to the Adra Dragon after betraying it to the Dragon Hunter, it wasn't hostile and talking to it just said something about it being weakened. I had to force attack to kill it. Still got the bestiary entry and the end slide about it's death, though. The final achievement is "Explorer." I've gone into every building and every map I can think of. According to the Prima Digital Guide, I've gone thorugh every side quest (except the Doemenel and the Dozen quests, since I chose the Crucible Knights), but I don't think they have extra maps that are only accessible for their routes. The patch notes did say that the achievement now checks for 152 areas instead of 160 so I feel like I should be even more likely to have "Explorer." Maybe we could have a statistic for how many areas we've seen on the party records? That could help with pinpointing whether you've got a bug or just haven't explored enough yet. I tried uploading my game save for reference, but I keep getting a "No file was selected for upload" error. Oh well. I know these achievements have already been called out by people as bugged, but I thought I'd add my experience onto the pile and hopefully help get them fixed. If anyone has some tips, let me know!
  11. Edit. I did see in another thread you clarified that you realize you have NOT fixed the story progression bug. The bug list is misleading tho as it seems to say it fixed it. I suppose will just have to keep waiting. This is a pretty big bug tho I hope it's fixed soon. I can't play anymore of the game until it gets fixed. There WILL be spoilers in this posts about Factions. The patch notes talked about fixing the game-breaking bug of not being able to continue in the game due to the factions not working correctly. Well this patch was suppose to fix that. However it doesn't. It's still just as broken as before. I started with the merchant quest and sided with the Doemenels because they offered a better reward for my services. This gained me a "in" with the Doemenel family faction. Than I did the quest for the Crucible Knights. I saved the girl. Got the research notes. Turned it in and realized you get an awesome reward for it. So than went to the Dozens to try to screw them over. I accepted their quest and tried my hardest to ruin them. However this didn't entirely work instead I ended up as a Hero to them. So at this point I was a hero to the Dozens. I'm a Champion with the Knights. And I'm a Friend of the Doemenels. Now I went back to the Doemenels to see about getting my just rewards from them as well. Except they found the note from early in the game where I killed their would be robbers. And Instead of being praised for siding with them I was told I had to do their dirty work. So I said screw that. I went and turned them in to the neighbors next door. THAN I robbed the gem upstairs for myself. By the way there is nothing you can do with this gem after you beg the house owner for extra money and than rob him. The Doemenels think they've failed. And the guy no longer cares that you carry the very diamond he paid you and thanked you for saving. Now the Doemenels only talk about having failed and hence won't invite me to the hearings. The champions hate me even tho I'm their champion because I helped the Dozens. And the Dozens hate me because I'm a Knight lackey. Even tho all three of these factions I have very high reputation with. Worse yet. Lady Webb even with this patch still doesn't let me join her to enter the hearings. So the story is STILL stuck and I cannot continue the game. I did all those faction things as soon as I got ot the city. Theres over 35hours of game time since than. I would have to start so far back to fix this one bug. Please figure out a way to correct this bug for real. I'm really enjoying the game and would like to continue to do so.

I am not sure this is a bug or just an strange behaviour decided by the devs. If you have Scouting Mode enabled and you start a conversation, when you finish it, Scouting Mode gets automatically disabled. Is that a bug? I find it really unhelpful if it's not. It makes me press ALT key all the time after a conversation (I like to go Scouting all time in dungeons). Cheers!
  13. Hello, I'm experiencing a bug with the Changing of the Guard quest. I've received the quest to assasinate Wenfeld in Crucible Keep. After I assasinate him, however, it is not giving me any option I can see to leave the Dozens Token at the Alter. The alter is grey, probably because I clicked on it on a previous visit to Crucible Keep (before receiving the quest). Am I missing something? Thanks, Astos
  14. Mobs are not attacking: Elder Lions, Feral Druids (one only the Dwarf attacks), Lioness, Pwgra ... all just stand there (remain passive) while you attack Reloaded from Autosave, problem remains...
  15. Bug report: I have text size turned up to max because of short-sightness. (ps: thank you for this feature!) Not everything works smoothly. e.g. sometimes text wraps badly when examining items or reading lore. See screenshot. Running Windows 7 x64, with the latest patch (downloaded today, 4-4-2015) ps. apologies if this has already been reported; I am avoiding spoilers so have not read the forum.

  17. If you dismiss a party member and then re-recruit them it doesn't save their stats. If I dismiss Sagani who has killed a boss, I should be able to recruit her later with the history telling me that she brought down said boss. I'm not sure if this is intentional, but I sure hope not.
  18. I took the draining lash skill and now I gain no focus when I attack foes. Funnily enough, I often find myself with -1 focus and below during fights. This is in the latest patch.
  19. I started a new Game and the prices in the Black Hound Inn are ridiculous high. The two Rooms cost 8250 cp and 11250 cp. One Potion of Minor Endurance cost 37500 cp. Other Prices (at the Black Hammer Smithery for example) are normal. When my Repution goes up the Prices change to normal values. In my Savegame you can see the high prices and then you can talk to Sweynur and finish the Quest and see the Prices are back to normal.   20. There's a potentially gamebreaking bug in Visions and Whispers. If the player does not sleep in the inn and obtains the dream to find the dwarf hanging from the tree (Caldara De Berranzi), and then completes the "Lord of a Barren Land" quest, the bodies in the tree will disappear, and the main questline can no longer be completed, and will prevent the player from ever reaching Caed Nua. Additional Notes: I went with Kolsc, and killed Raedric. Possible solution: Move the corpse to the graveyard, and have an NPC point out where the corpses were moved to, allowing the player to continue. The trigger allowing the dream must of course also be re-enabled if this is the case. This is just a suggestion though.

  22. Circles and health bars often vanish when enemies are "Confused" in combat, making them very hard to see, especially with semi-transparent enemies, such as shades. Pressing Tab lights up the enemies properly, but this is awkward.
  23. When crowd control effects are reapplied when an existing effect still has time remaining, duration is refreshed on the tool tips. However, enemies start moving/attacking as if the effect has been removed. This issue has been observed with "Prone" and "Paralysis" status effects.

  25. Now Eder can't knock people prone anymore?! ARRGGGHHh this is actually worse for me than all the bugs that got fixed >.< He can successfully land it but it's always 0.0 sec prone.... ie: broken. EDIT: Huh so I rolled up another fighter for testing and her KD seems fine so something got messed up specifically on Eder on my save as it was being patched. Tried removing him and re-adding him to the party and no luck so far but I'll keep experimenting. If anyone else has run into this and knows a fix, please let me know. EDIT2: Weirder and weirder. It's only affected my latest 3 saves. If I go back further than that he's acting normal. I'll end up losing a couple hours but that might be what I have to do at this point.
