I saw this on TVTropes:
when fully upgraded, Plagues of Egypt can: Inflict 2 stacks of bleed on all targets. Shear the armor of all targets twice. Inflict Burning on all targets. Inflict Grossed Out on all targets, inflicts Attack Down, and Defense Down on all targets, deals quite a considerable amount of damage to all targets, considering that it does all its damage via dozens of tiny hits, it can also pretty effectively blow away any armor stacks on any targets and still hurt them like hell, and as if that wasn't enough, it also inflicts Attack UP and Defense UP on your party. Not enough? Slap an armor patch that heals you on every hit, and another that restores PP on every heal, along with the perk that replenishes PP on every heal, and this ability WILL COMPLETELY HEAL YOU TO FULL, AND RESTORE YOUR PP TO MAX allowing you to use this ON EVERY TURN. Yes that's right, put 3 different dots on the enemy, destroy their defenses, lower their attack, deal massive damage, boost your own stats, completely heal yourself, and still spammable every turn. It requires lvl 14 to completely unlock but once you do, all non-boss battles are over in 1 turn, and every boss battle, even Al Gore himself, are over at most in 4 or 5 turns. Mix this with the other 2 Gamebreaking abilities of the jew class (Jew-jitsu and Whirling Dreidel) and we may as well call this class a God-Mode Sue.So, your opinions?
-
Which ones would you recommend overall?
-
don't bother with electricity, it's garbage, the bonus damage just isn't worth it
What you want to do is inflict Burn and Bleed
If you have the Darts from Skeeter's Bar quest or Mongorian Bow from Mr. Kim's quest you can pretty much demolish the aliens by equipping the Darts with the Lit Match Strap-On or the Mongorian Bow with the Toothpick Strap-On to give them both Burn and Bleed.
also, the second you get a turn, drink a Speed Potion, it's insanely helpful
For your melee weapon, equip your hardest hitting weapon, then give it the Dead Bird strap-on or whatever you have that does Gross Out damage
the important thing is to apply Burn, Bleed and Gross Out to the big boss as fast as possible.
For armor, equip anything that gives high armor or heals you, I usually equip the Druid Gloves for the Defense Up or the Wood Elf Gloves for the armor and bow bonuses. If you have a 2hander, one of the KKK armor pices heals you every turn, also there are patches that:
Heal Every Turn
Heal on Attack
Heal On Kill
if you have any of these, equip them. if not, try to stack as much armor as possible. If you have any open perks and have not gotten the 20% additional health, grab it
Depending on your class you can also make things much easier on yourself
Mage: Fully upgraded Dragon's Fire will melt armor, Sleep Dust will stun one of them assuming they aren't immune to stun
Thief: If aliens can be Stunned (can't remember) then Mug is good, also mug heals you if fully upgraded.
Fighter: I believe your base skill heals you when fully upgraded
Jew: your skills are pretty useless early on TBH
The thief's Mug and the fighter's Assault and Battery heals you at rank 4.
-
If all the classes are not different from each other, other than their abilities, then the mage is clearly the more superior class.
Every class can equip everything, the only differences being that Fighter already start with armor, Jew deals more damage the closer they are to death and each ability that the classes have.
-
The Fighter's Assault and Battery and the Thief's Mug, once upgraded to Rank 4, allow you to recover health.
The questions I want to ask are in the poll. I would like to know your opinion on the matter.

I plan for this thread to become the place where you can find which class you want to play if you base yourself on it's abilities.
Here's a template for how you organize it. Copy+paste it 4 times for the other ones that you gain by leveling normally:
- Ability
- Upgrade #1
- Upgrade #2
- Upgrade #3
- Upgrade #4
Anyone here wants to contribute?
-
Turns out that if I upgrade Assault and Battery to Level 4, I can recover health with each hit. Yep, I'll go Fighter for sure.
-
Does the Fighter's Assault and Battery ability allow you to recover health when upgraded? I'm asking this since I have noticed green numbers when you hit an enemy with it in the Giggling Donkey trailer.
-
With a gameplay video uploaded by someone who got the game early telling me that Butters is an aggro magnet in combat, I think I'll actually take Fighter. Horn of Irritation will allow me to debuff enemies while switching their focus from Butters to me.
That, and Assault and Battery reminds me of Hotline Miami for some reason. Now I really hope there's a lifedrain strap-on.
-
I asked some of my friends who plans on getting the game this question, the most of them answering they'll be using the Jew class. Here, the Thief class is the most popular. Surprising.
-
To be honest, I'll wait until I get to know what each class got as skills (mostly for Thief and Mage). So far, Fighter leads, but I might check out Thief too.
-
What will be the class you choose on your first playthrough?
-
With Professor Chaos & General Disarray on my side, nothing can stop us!
Damn straight.
-
Wait. There's actually an achievement if you actually name your character Douchebag?
Spoiler that ****.
I can't edit my posts. Besides, I'm sure a lot of people have seen the "13 Minutes of gameplay" and the "Giggling Donkey" trailers.

All we know about the content that has been cut for the European console versions are 5 probes and two abortions, the latter being interactive.
-
Which buddy would you plan to use the most?
Here's the list, taken from another thread about party size:
- Butters
- Cartman
- Jimmy
- Kenny
- Kyle
- Stan
Me? I'd say Butters. Why? His healing touch. What about you?

This is the part of development where I sit back and [semi-nervously] await fan reception and press reviews.
Which would seem to be guaranteed since you worked with the original creators, right?

Another Obsidian game will be releasing in one week, South Park: The Stick of Truth!
I am very excited as Obsidian has made some of my favorite rpgs, I love how they do dialogue, characters and stories. And I am a huge south park fan and roleplaying fan so this is a dream come true really.
Good luck with the game Obsidian, looking forward to playing it next week and of course Pillars of Eternity at a later time! Who all is counting down the days for this new Obsidian game? Are you South Park fans to aswell as Obsidian fans? What games are you playing to pass the time? Any plans for when the game is released? Will you rush the story or hit up alot of exploration of the city and side quests? Will you be streaming or doing any youtube videos for it? Will you do alot at a time or space you're gaming out for this game?
For me lately I have been playing some of the following: Banished, DayZ, Forza5, Wasteland 2 and my 9th playthrough of Fallout New Vegas
I will be exploring and doing alot of side quests when I play and probably uploading some videos of this to my youtube/twitch pages. Probably will play ALOT on the first day it is out hehe, Obsidian gaems always seem to manage to pull me in well!
Please tell me you won't do like everybody and choose the Jew class. Besides, we would need to learn more about the Thief's and the Mage's abilities.
Thief and Mage are both awesome. Thief was what I picked on my last attempted play through before going gold. Not sure what I'll play as on my retail play-through.
Well, I do know that I won't be picking the Jew class. If the thief have a lifedrain ability, I'll pick him. If not, Fighter.
-
Are North American console versions of the game affected? Just to be sure.

Besides the Jew's "Sling of David" and "Jew-Jitsu", which skills of each class do we know of?
Do different classes actually have base differences?

I believe you're talking about Ground Pound for the ability that strikes everything. Also, if done right, the ball used in Assault and Battery can hit another target.
