  1. I cannot find any information on how to at least play my digital copy while I'm waiting on the physical CE content to arrive. I certainly hope I won't have to wait a few weeks for that...

    Go to you Obsidian account https://eternity.obsidian.net/login -> My Products -> there should be the list of Digital Items you have available for the Tier you have backed and there should be the digital key for game itself.

  2. I understand that cooldowns on skills or some kind of stamina changes combat a lot. And I don't want to change that. I really like how it is right now.

     

    There is big difference to have only two or three knockdowns on warrior per fight or have it on cooldown and use it how many times I want.  Just wish they could make pure warriors a little bit more fun to play. Maybe some rage/momentum bar which could be filled by critical strikes or kills to give extra use on special skills and so on.

  3. Exactly my thoughts Badgerconda. Combat with melee chars in Tyranny was so much fun and combos with companions were refreshing.

     

    In PoE it was same every fight. Get aggro, activate shield, use knockdown and then forget about them for the rest of the fight. I know there was ability cooldown in Tyranny which helped to keep fighters active for the whole fight.

     

    Would be really great if they could do something about it in PoE. But maybe multi-classing is the only way.

  4. Hmm, who would have thought that such side content as giant statue in Od Nua dungeon will play major role in sequel.

     

    Just wondering, was there any info about statue identity in base game ? Me and many others just thought it was statue of Od Nua himself.

     

    Also presence of Eothas disappeared from world after defeat of St. Waidven. So, how did he end up under Caed Nua ??

     

    So many questions. Hopefully new lore will give us the answers.

     

    EDIT. Might that be that statue under Caed Nua was only a empty vessel (made from Adra) and Eothas choose it for physical body ?

  5. I just started White March for the first time and...got hit by nostalgia. I have always loved Icewind Dale series especially because of winter theme so I was pretty excited about White March announcement.

     

    But to get to the point. I love that live winter background. Is it possible to get it as simple or better as living wallpaper for windows? Do you know how to extract it from data files ?

  6. I hit this and worked around it by editing the conversation for clyver.

     

    in Pillars of Eternity\PillarsOfEternity_Data\data\conversations\02_defiance_bay_first_fires\02_cv_clyver_rimgund.conversation

    around line 2338 is the block for text node 54.   What we'll do is let you access this even after he's said no before.  This block has no check for relationship with the dozens, presumably because if the dozens like you he says no immediately, while if you're in hte middle of his quests he will say to ask later which is what this block is for.

     

    Anyway, a bit further down, starting line 2406, there are ExpressionComponent blocks.  You need to remove the entire block to do with the refused variable.  I can't copy paste it because I deleted from mine and like a daring rebel (with a very fast internet connection to redownload the game) I didn't keep a back up copy.

     

    The same principle should apply to the other groups if you prefer them but I don't know the nodes you would need to modify.

     

    I did it too and it works. But I think whoever you choose it WON´T change the outcome.

    Well, maybe that's your problem right there... :p

     

    Looks like this game is not afraid to (sometimes) punish mindless meta-gaming and reward role-playing & careful choices. That's a good thing imo.

     

    Not if it's poorly designed though. The knights were clearly also interested in the weapons, so there should have been an option to do the same quest for them. Yet there wasn't. There should have been an option to give the weapons to the scripted patrol encounter instead of having it unconditionally turn hostile. Yet there wasn't. There should have been an option to bring the weapons to the knights instead of the Dozen. Yet, well, there wasn't. Finally, lying to the Dozen about not knowing how the weapons worked suggested that they would probably just ditch them, so I actually helped the knights there (since if someone else retrieved the weapons, he might have told the full story). But of course, there was no way to tell that to the knights. I honestly did the quest expecting any of these options to pop up.. well, in addition to some metagaming, since the quest looked more interesting interesting than an errant job the knights offered.

     

     

    Exactly this. I knew I want to support Knights and possibly ditch Dozens and give weapons to Knights or fail quest any other way. But there is no option for that. Sadly, I'm stuck with Dozens or Dunryd Row choices.

    But I guess It won't change outcome anyway. I will wait for 1.05 and then I will just continue. Better than to repeat 20+ hrs of game content.

The leaders will only give you these quests if you've not accepted a second quest from one of the other factions - that's intended, even if you murder a bunch of people of that faction, because the factions want to know that you're working to further their interests (a character that helps their enemies first and then slaughters them will not cause a faction to be forthcoming with its trust).

    So If I accepted first quest from the Dozens and Knights and then accepted second quest from Dozens (before Winds of Steel quest) then there is no way for me to get second quest from Knigts and therefore invitation for hearing (even after patch) ?

  9. Sadly I became victim of this bug too..

    During my first playthrough I realized when completing second quest for faction I won't be able to reach other faction merchants. But I didn't progress so far to find this bug.

    So I started new game after 1.03 patch.

    I did first quest for Dozens (and Bricanta Doemenel) and took first quest for Knights. Everything was going well and I enjoyed three merchants with exclusive gear. And then I took legendary second quest from Dozens.. (I could't get Winds of Steel from Knights after that but I realized it much later in game)

    I didn't want to complete it but I wanted to do it and lose it in the end to gain support from Knights. But then I completly abandoned this main quest line for like 20+ hrs.

    I came back yesterday most of my side stuff done. And obviously I can't get support from Knights even if I lose reputation with either Doemenel or Dozens.

    I can either finish quest "Bronze Beneath the Lake" and have their support during hearing or kill them and have option do have support from Dunryd Row.

    But I want to support Knights..

     

    I hope you guys can fix it retroactively and I will be waiting..

     

    Question for developers: Which save I should continue from now to have biggest chance to have it fixed in next patch? Like not completing Dozens quest (don't take weapons from crypt)? Or don't talk to Lady Webb about hearing yet?

     

    Will this be actually patched in 1.04? Because I just checked patch notes and it is not there.

  10. I hope this will be fixed. Somehow. Retroactively. Because for me It's no going back. And I am not happy to side with Dozens or kill all so I can continue..

    In 1.03 patch notes it says it has been fixed. And I started new game after this patch. So it should work for me but it obviously doesn't :/

  11. Just read It will be  fixed in patch 1.04. Can anybody confirm ?

     

    Early in Act 2 I decided to do some quests for all three factions in Defiance Bay (Doemenel, Crucible Knights, Dozens ) so I could get access to their shopkeepers. But only to the point where it doesn't interfere with others reputations.

    It was like 20hrs of game-time ago. Now, I got back to quest Hermit of Hatred House where I need to get support for animacy hearing.

    My reputations are

    Doemenel - Scoundrel

    Dozens - Ally

    Crucible Knights - Hero

     

    I want support from Knights BUT I can't get approval from them because of high reputation with Dozens. So I decided to fail quest for Dozens "Bronze Beneath the Lake" and lost reputation with them. It is no possible as there is no option to keep weapons or give them to Knights.

    OK. So I decided to kill all Dozens in Expedition Hall. Result -> Reputation Scoundrel (Extremely Bad). So I am going back to Knights and ask them for support BUT it fails like before. They won't support me because I am friends with Dozens even with bad reputation. (I can't even get quest Winds of Steel)

     

    So what now ?!

    1. Support Dozens. (But I want to support Animancy)

    2. Kill Dozens and Knights to lose reputations and have option to speak for myself during hearing.

     

    Either way this breaks my game :( Did anybody encounter similar problem ? Is there any other way around ?

    We started our fan translation to Czech language. I am currently translating Calisca using Notepad++ (just basic tool, I know)

     

    The structure of XML file looks like this below. Problem is that it's not always very clear who says those phrases. NPC (Calisca) or player's character? Sometimes it is even out of context. So this is not very helpful for translators. Am I missing something here ? Are there any tags which clearly state who says which phrase ? I will be glad for any technical help.
