    I think they need the XBOX Live Downloadable Content feature on the next ones to fix problems for console users.

     

    MS just needs to set higher standards.

     

    Out of all the console games I have played it's only the Xbox ones that have ever had bugs or come on a bad disk.

     

    Considering how few I play compared to the PS2 and GC thats kinda worrying.

     

     

    I know, but I like some of the games that come out for XBOX since some of them are XBOX only.

    LA Forum Moderators posted about Jedi Academy that Jedi Outcast was the sequel to Jedi Academy.  They also said that all of the line was a continuation of Dark Forces even though the name had changed.  They stated it was the entire story of Kyle Katarn (Although Jedi Academy dumfounded me by having you pick a creat-a-character rather than play Kyle again, but you know about the EU, it is canon)

     

    That LA forum moderators must be really stupid if they posted that.

     

    Academy started as a expansion pack for Outcast and later was turned into a stand alone title (its not even Jedi Knight "III").

     

    Anyone that disagree with me on this must never played those games since Tavion shows up in both games (in Outcast as a aprendice to Desann and in Academy as the one using Marka Ragnos staff/sword) and Tavion dies in Academy, also there is a lot of references her role in Outcast, expecialy that she became that way because Kyle spared in Bespin.

     

    And Dark Forces ended in Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight that is also Jedi Knight "I" but that is just the series names, its the continuation of Kyle adventures but Jedi Knight II: Outcast is NOT Dark Forces IV.

     

     

    Can't say I actually played Outcast yet, so I really don't know, and I have only really played some of Academy, other than XBOX Live. So I will take your word on it over the LA Moderators. (They do seem to be a little dim witted, you know) But anyways, I hope that there will be another Jedi Knight game, just as I hope that KotOR III will be announced.

    What the hell are you talking about.

     

    Academy is a sequel to Outcast, after Mysteries of the Sith Kyle turned away from the Force and the only Jedi Kyle trained before Academy was Mara Jade.

     

    Also Dark Forces line ended at Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, all games after it are the Jedi Knight series.

    EDIT - The trend seems to be DF, DFII, JK, JKII....  God I hope the next one isn't Jedi Academy II, I would buy that  :shifty:

     

     

    Naw actually the next game will be Jedi Academy: Gray Jedi, then Jedi Academy II: Sith Academy, Sith Academy: Dawn of the New Empire, and then the final game, Sith Academy: Redemption.

    Technically it would be Dark Forces 5

     

    The Line is Dark Forces, Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.

     

     

    Meh, not really... The series changes name every time new titles come out, and every tim the story changes.

    As I have been lead to believe it all 4 are actually of the Dark Forces Story Line (Not the books mind you) Although, Jedi Outcast is the Sequel to Jedi Academy. (Makes you wonder why they didn't do Outcast after Academy then)

    I would guess that 100% of the people who bought this game are experiencing bugs. The reaction to that varies, but that's kind of irrelevant. Obsidian should put out a solid product. Imagine how amazing this game *could* have been had Obsidian been free to do what needed to be done.

     

     

    Nope, I haven't had any problems at all. I played smoothly through all five times and had no problems occur that I was aware of.

    Im 24 too, we should start a club.

     

     

    Whats REALLY interesting though is that almost 80% of players are of mature legal age. That gets me thinking that maybe, just maybe its in fact wrong to tone down mature themes in games. Maybe publishers should cut the kids out of the picture and make mature games for the enormous mature audience.

     

     

    ...and Im not talking about nudity and coarse language, Im talking about removing the reality filter and let the grit come through.

     

     

    You gotta think about it in terms of, we are the original Game Junkies anyways seeing that we first got hooked by Atari, and then "Bam" Theres the Nintendo, and then the rest went on to make history. I still remember those stupid ads about wearing out your thumbs from playing too much Nintendo. I have been playing since I was like three (Old enough to hold the Atari joystick) And My thumbs are in great shape.

     

    But yeah I think that alot of the market should be focused towards the majority grouping, which I can guaruntee (spelling???) you is most likely going to average the same way as you see on this poll here.

    You all need to accept that we bought the XBOX version of a game and that due to the fact of it being a console title with no XBOX Live setup that a patch will never see the light of day.

     

    Even if they made a new version of the game would it really be worth it to trade in your current copy for 1/4 what you paid for it and then buy the new version?

     

    I just see it as a minor nuisance and have moved on to Republic Commando, I blame LA for not extending time to finish KotOR II but, what can I do about it, flaming the boards here is not really going to help, and besides the game isn't really as bad as everyone says. If it were the way some people have been posting that they will "boycot" LA products, then why was there a line at EB games and Gamestop the release day of Republic Commando?

     

    (Lucky me I got the 1st copy that my Gamestop got)

     

    All in all, all your immature posts demanding things from the companies is not going to get you anywhere?

     

    In closing I will state the fact of yes I was one of the ones that was kinda mad when I saw missing storylines and uncompleted quests. But I realized, I have seen it several times before, and before you know it you will find another game to write about, flaming the heck out of the boards and what not. So this too shall pass and then all will be better when everyone realizes KotOR II is not the only game in the world that has had such problems. o:):) :cool:

    it seems like alot of you are to immature to realize that every game that you play is going to have problems due to time constraints and the parent company wanting to make a quick buck, but you always buy the new games anyways so live with it.

    I in no way actually blame Obsidian for anything about the game.  I blame LA for making OE rush a great game.  But oh well, now I have moved on from KotOR to Republic Commando, and then I will move on to Episode 3, and whatever games for Star Wars that come out.

    Behold this masterpiece of illogic. First you proceed to take any blame off from those who actually made the game, and place it all on the publisher. Then you state how much you hate LA. Following which, you say you will buy any SW games that come out, no matter how crappy they may be. Yeah, that's pretty coherent. You love to hate LA. :shifty:

     

    Evidently you didn't read everything I wrote in my posts, since I never said I hated LA, I said I blamed LA for rushing OE in the game makin process you nitwit. I also stated the fact of everyone whining about OE releasing the game unfinished and that they "have" to fix it. Once LA puts their foot down, I really don't see how you can change it. maybe a few patches for the comp version but there is no way you are going to get anything better along the XBOX way.

     

    To emphasize my earlier statement on not hating LA, I have thoroughly enjoyed most of their Star Wars games. If you ever learned how to read and tried to not add in your own words to make it seem otherwise you have to be plain retarded.

    I just wish everyone would stop blaming OE for having been rushed. LA had the final word in the process so I don't see how OE had been at fault.
