Can you hear the hype machine rolling?
-
Their forums appear to be down.
EDIT: Up again.

I'm positive it is going to rock.

has anyone managed to understand Blender and its "UI from outer space"? They claim its extremely intuitive and usable, but when it takes an experienced 3D artist several minutes to figure out how to draw a simple polygon, I begin to doubt those claims. XSI on the other hand has everything where youd expect it to be.
I didn't. After a lot of fiddling around with 3DSMax I just can't bring myself to use Blender. Also, I have never heard anyone calling its interface "intuitive".

Um. The menu-thinggie. In the BIOS-thinggie.
What menu-thingie?

Gives a fresh perspective on what it means to be a hardcore Falout fan.
-
Maybe in the OS, but not in the BIOS.
Well because BIOS doesn't have any concept of "drive letters" to start with. What exactly it is that you are referring to? IDE channel? But that depends on how you hook up your cables.
Elaborate.

I believe Mr Holmes knows how to generate publicity.

There's a big stink over at the Fallout boards about it.
Well, there is a big stink about anything at the Fallout boards.

Not always. Mine is F.
And you can actually remap drive letter allocation via Control Panel.

Truth being a three way with Neeshka and Elanee would be really nice.
The precedent was actually already set in HotU.

Apparently I'm not meta so I can't just dig up some link, but I'm sure there must be name for that kind of arguing
More of a flawed premise mixed with appeal to emotion (directly resulting from bitterness).

one copy would inexplicably be sold in Iowa though..
You mean when it hits the bargain bin?

They (the marines) started out on a big spaceship. Then they got a distress signal and sent down a smaller ship (to a specific place and were given a specific mission: the contact with a colony was lost and an investigation was required.), equipped with some kind of tank like vehicle.
Why the sudden need to explain every detail about the movie? I've already seen it ten times.
I thought you were implying that the distress signal was the reason for landing, no? But the mission (and the destination) was arranged by the company prior to departure of the marine squad, they would have landed there regardless of whether they received the distress signal or not. Now, why I'm saying all this? Because this way you don't really have any freedom of exploration, unlike in the scenario that you were describing, or that I thought you were describing.
I hope I've made it clear.

I see too much focus on US monuments, and in conjunction with orchestral music I begin to smell some "epic" and "patriot" type of crap. But maybe it is just me.

The second movie (which is my favourite Alien movie coincidentally) started out on a big spaceship. But then they got the distress signal from the mining planet and sent down a smaller ship, equipped with some kind of tank like vehicle.
Actually, in the second movie the marines were sent to a specific place and were given a specific mission: the contact with a colony was lost and an investigation was required.
Well, apart from another mission given to only one member.

I'd bet on space pirates.

Wasn't there a tradition where a newly appointed moderator must lock his own introduction thread?
This thread is reserved for the Fallout 3 teaser...
