Did you see this though. Probably his French genes shining through, but I appreciate the zero ****s given.

There's no ASMR thread so here goes.
Nobody talks dirty like the french.

I can't help but notice that the only western world leader of note to call for a humanitatian ceasefire and any inclination to critique Israel is Macron, who is a lame duck on his last term. I think we need more lame ducks on their last term.

40% of the buildings in Gaza are either destroyed or unsafe for human habitation, but the IDF is "being careful", so that's nice to know.

The scene with Elminster, not Simmons, was just terrible. I think that one scene was supposed to do everything, and as a result it just went on for way too long. ( the first one, i dunno if there are more)
-
The cutscenes are hit and miss, often overly explanatory. many of the main characters are a bit too much on the nose. Simmons screams the overly obvious several times like it was a revelation. without going into spoilers.

It's part of a serial killer origin story, so something you picked at character creation

the game is probably zoomed in a bit too far, all the pimples are showing. im noticing clipping in armor sets as well. the environments look gorgeous though.

i think it's alright, about as good or bad as the divinity games. i struggle to care that much for my party members unique quests so far, but at least you can bring henchmen and make your own party.

There is a lot less text to read. That must be appealing to many people.
long winded walls of text is no mark of excellence. i'm pretty sure it's all based on hard data, they know for a fact no one reads beyond 5 paragraphs. i don't really miss the lore books. it's cool that it's there, but, usually there is so much of it you lose interest very quickly.
i'll read through the lusty argonian maid, dwemer lore, not so much.

I'm not sure how this led to it being a big thing, but it's very different than PoE or PF in terms of gameplay. Solasta might be close (now there's a bad UI), since you can jump around and manipulate a bit of the environment, but BG3 does environmental reactivity dramatically differently. I'd say for better or worse, really. I don't know that I need to be able to move every crate and rock in the game. I don't know that I need to slow down every time a bit of water spills on a patch of dirt. I don't know if I need the camera to be able to zoom in on all those weird angles. But it's definitely something different than other RPG's.
I also probably don't need to roll dice on everything. If I have enough bonuses to cover it, just skip it. Ugh.
yeah. they need an instant version of the dice rolls, that just says pass or fail. like the perception rolls when you walk past a trap. it's too much clicking if you are playing a rouge or someone relying on dialogue persuasion.

yeah, the singing was always stupid. after playing for around 3 hours im finally starting, as a female high elf paladin/cleric. because the paladin armor looks the coolest and i like her snarky holier than thou expression.
healing spells don't need a DC boost to be useful, so i can just do most of my healing from the paladin spell pool., that way i don't have to up charisma. Not practical to increase more than 3 scores past their default i should think.

bought the game and restarted the mindflayer mission 7 times.
It's an ADHD thing i have that only affects crpgs. i haven't really started until i have restarted 20 times.
i wonder if a mage/monk is viable.

I*m looking forward to phantom liberty.
By the way, if you are still waiting for CDPR to fix enough bugs to play Cyberpunk, it's pretty good now.

It looks like Ursula von der Leyen has made her first major miscalculation in going to Israel and pretending to speak for the whole of Europe. It didn't go over well. Europe is divided on the question of Palestine. The political elite are generally pro Israel because that's where national interests like, the populations much less so.
Our Danish PM blankly refused the thought of going to a memorial service for civilian Palestinian victims of the bombing campaign stating that there was "no comparison" to the wound inflicted on Israel.
