  1. off all the big companies they could be sold to, MS Is one of the better.

Is it a blessing or a curse?

If they are given the opportunity to make bigger more impressive game without to many restriction. This could be great.. otherwise... not so much.

Crossing my fingers and hopeing. This is not just another one of those RIP moments.

  2. the stronghold one of the most forced things iv ever seen in a game. Its ofc a 100% optional but IMHO it should just have been skipped..

the location and story is okey.

but it feel empty and stupid, who made you lord of the land? after the initial intruduction its pretty much just a gold sink filler, that dosnt add anything to the game or its story.

    the attacks are meaningless
I think I found 1 guy I could take prisoner, but I forgot all about him.

I feels like they just added it because it was a KS goal the promised.

  3. the game does have to weird difficulty spikes... the first few levels were okey, you didn't have much to work with and such so you got you ass wiped a few times..the ending of act 1 and ALL of act 2 has been a TOTAL steam roll for me. I just started act 3. and it seems it had gotten slightly harder.. but for how long?.

I just don't feel like I need spend any none once pr. encounter to win a fight,

No voice acting. Voice for me is the important part of the game. I feel that voice acting gives the characters souls that makes the game experince more enjoyable. I did not support Kickstarter but I just bought the game just to try it out. I quit after 5 hours into the game. I feel that reading text makes me tired & no voice acting makes the dialogues less fun. Anyway I just want to say that VOICE ACTING IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR MODERN GAMES.

And I want to make big feedback short. So I just do a 1 - 10 scale.

    Combat System 6/10

    Story 10/10

    Sound effects 10/10

    RPG system 10/10

    Graphics 8/10

    Exploration 7/10

    Voice acting 1/10

Just so you know. You do not need to feel left out. I did not finish Divinity Original Sin or Wasteland 2 either. Because these games have no voice acting.

It really destroyed the game experience for me but yes yes I know. Kickstarter has limited budget bla bla :D

I quit playing Wasteland 5 hours into the game. I quit playing Divinity Original Sin 6 hours into the game. And I stopped playing Pillars of Eternity because reading dialogues is just not preferance. The story is actually very awesome but I just could not finish the game without voice acting on dialogues.

why would you buy something... ANYTHING without first knowing that it is.. im sorry.. you are are a ****ing dumbass

you keep buying stuff without knowing what it is.

  5. Sawyer says that you can easily ruing a character in D&D by not specing it properly. Well how is this any different? I can't make a basic class worth a damn with this stupid system you guys devised, just gimmick builds.

How does this game not force you into play styles? You basically always have to sneak into battle. You pretty much have to crawl around sneaking everywhere, which is a PITA.

Your non-tanks are beyond squishy. Monks have to get hit in order to use their skills/powers? That's ****ing stupid beyond belief! Almost every fight my rogue/monk/wizard get dropped. The tanks can't hold aggro. It's just bad design all around. Yet again, this shows the major problem with paid betas when its the fanboys telling the devs what they want to hear instead of giving them the criticism they need to hear.

And trying to manage a party of 6 in real-time combat is patently absurd - even at slow speed. All it does is result in spamming the space bar pauses. DOS is infinitely better with its turn-based combat.

The spell system and spells themselves are terrible. Fights happen so fast that de/buffs are basically pointless because the fight is over by the time the spell is cast. It also makes most food/potions/scrolls useless in that regard as well. The spell times should be instant - seeing as you get so few spells to actually cast anyway and mana doesn't play a factor. And durations on all that stuff should be upped by a factor of 10 at least. I should be able to have those buffs going for an entire map. Otherwise, it's just camping after every encounter - and that's way too expensive at low levels.

There are so many things I *hate* about the system you designed. Why did you try and reinvent the wheel? Yes, D&D is far from perfect but it's a damn sight better than this rubbish. And that's the real shame of it just completely takes the fun out of the game and destroys all the hard work that was put into the beautiful artwork and excellent writing. I've loved most all of Obsidian's work - and Black Isle before that - down through the years, but this is really just awful, awful stuff.

I hope you guys can do a follow-up for Fallout 4 a la FNV. I'll at least look forward to that - so long as it doesn't use this crappy system.

    I dn what to say..

the premade NPC's are not optimal at all... and im rofl stomping everything on hard, its almost to easy.... almost.

But I know POTD is a big leap.

    I kinda like this system.

  6. Not sure which forum is the right one to put this in (mods, feel free to merge/move), but I'm so sick of the game-destroying bugs that have necessitated three separate restarts, crashes, sound bugs that fill my speakers with noise from hell... honestly, I just want my money back and to go do something else with my time. Is that possible?

I have now played for 10+ hours with 0 crashes or bug that iv noticed.

Yeah, Angry Joe is ****. His gimmick is basically a manipulative psychological trick that makes people more likely to accept what he says, regardless of the content.

Those are user reviews, Katarack21. They don't mean anything.

Love AJ's reviews. They are just fun to watch and he has no problem pointing out the games faults.

Honestly I much prefer the user reviews than the often paid for pro reviews (I'm looking at you BioWare). Not saying OE will pay for reviews, but with paid for adds and such there is always some influence given, even if unintentional.

Granted any user reviews that scores 0-2 I generally ignore as the person just had issues that really had nothing to do with the game. But I also ignore 10 scores as those are just fanboiz that can't allow themselves to see anything critical of their perfect game. I'll read through the 3-9 scores as those generally have more thought put into them and see what they have to say.

The guy has a very broad taste in games, and he's pretty good at finding flaws even in games he really likes, been watching him for a while, and he has grown alot as a reviewer, some of his early stuff is gimmicky sure, but we all have to start somewere.
