^ it's the second fix listed under "items" in the patch notes.
-
Now Merciless Gaze spell has wrong effect.
I hope that the problem will be fixed in the next patch.
Not unless you report it in the technical forums
-
Turned out it wasn't broken to begin with. It works additively.

Guess we reported the bug too late for 3.02. Hopefully a fix will come in 3.03, along with a fix for Binding Rope and one for Lavender Wreath ;-)
-
Great stuff!
-
Very quick; nice change log!
-
^ Nope. Notes are incomplete. Not the first time for a Pillars patch—they fix a thousand bugs and add a thousand features, so it's hard to keep track of everything and compile comprehensive change logs.

Actually the drugs balance pass includes another Cipher nerf. Prior to 3.0, Ciphers could get +2 PER and +20% Focus gain from Blacsonn, or +4 Focus gain from Carow Golan. Now they can only get +20% Focus gain from Carow Golan if they also suck up a -4 INT penalty that massively shrinks their powers' AoE and shortens their duration.
Ciphers really got the hate in this patch, for some reason...

Hey Brandon,
since Fighters got an overhaul, do you know whether Confident Aim was also fixed? It's supposed to add +20% minimum damage but it isn't as of 2.02.
Also, could anyone with the beta patch check whether this issue was fixed?
Thanks!

Get this.

From the main 2.02 thread:
We have updated the beta branch to build v2.02.0749, which should:
- Fix the pink Ogre and Xaurip weapons
- Fix a problem choosing chants after respeccing a Chanter in special circumstances
Thanks for all of the feedback.
-
^ what's the last patch you played? Rangers were overhauled in 2.0 and are now considered a very good ranged DPS class.
-
I've got Black Pages in 2.01, there was only one unique spell - Shadowflame.
It's in my inventory and no unique spells except shadowflame. There's a chance it was fixed and the fix is not retroactive.
Have you tried giving yourself the Grimoire via the console to see what it looks like?
-
Ya it gives a description.
Well yes, a description was already there since the beginning What I mean is, does it have a black-and-white illustration of the weapon in the style of the IE games? All soulbound weapons do except for The Grey Sleeper in 2.01. Example from St Ydwen's Redeemer:
By the way, do modals retain their graphical effect upon saving/loading now?
-
Torm51 - if you right-click the Grey Sleeper, does it have an illustration in its description? As of 2.01, it was the only soulbound weapon without one.
-
Too powerful?
-
^ that is my understanding, yes. Not sure why 15% instead of the originally planned 10%, but it was definitely stealing more than both before 2.02.
Fairly sure Tidefall got Ambushing on top of Draining.
-
I think he was being sarcastic.
-
Draining had disappeared because of a bug which was fixed in 2.01.
BUT 2.0 had also introduced the Ambushing enchant, which drains attack speed and the duration of beneficial effects. Many items with Draining were given Ambushing too in addition, but it was bugged (it stole a lot more speed than it was meant to.)
So that's probably a typo in the patch notes.

Could someone with the beta patch confirm whether the following have been fixed?
- Player-centered spells and abilities don't work
- Accuracy is displayed incorrectly until you enter combat
- Weapon "Speed" enchantment doesn't work (was fixed in 2.0 and broken again in 2.01)
- Soulbound weapons don't register kills to unlock the next level
- Spells missing from Ninagauth's Black Pages
- Monk multi-class talent does not apply to Druid's Spiritshift form
- The Grey Sleeper does not have an illustration
I'm surprised the first two are not in the patch notes as they were the most reported issues after 2.01 was released.
Thanks!

mushroomli,
the spell was not added retroactively. You'll need to give yourself the Grimoire once again via console commands if you want to get that spell in your current play through.
If you are concerned about disabling achievements, you can install the IE Mod to cheat without disabling them. You can then uninstall the mod, but I'd suggest keeping it because it's so awesome.
-
Vosz, it is official. Elves cannot grow facial hair in Eora (QA confirmed this in the technical forum.)

Brandon, do you know whether the "speed stealing" item mod has been fixed?
It was confirmed by Matt Sheets as "set too high", meaning that weapons with that mod were stealing more than just 10% attack speed from their target. Makes those weapons very OP.
Thanks a lot for your hard work! The White March is pretty great

Great stuff!
Will this update add an illustration for The Grey Sleeper and Stormcaller?
They are the only soulbound weapons without one.

Whoa.
Hope that gets fixed in time for 3.03's final release.
