Seems the other 10k backer was a troll after all -- the campaign dropped to 47k.

Looks like a couple of pretty interesting areas got cut from the final game due to budget. Hope they'll get enough to put the Gog-SoSloth temple in at least.

In my opinion they played bit too much with Quest for Glory card with this game as it does not resemble one, even if they finish it.
I don't know -- the break-in demo had very strong QFG vibes for me.

Well, the Coles have been very transparent and candid about the problems. And they seem committed to delivering the game. And what is there looks promising. I'm actually contemplating supporting the 2nd KS when (if) I have some funds available.

The new KS is nearly half funded (49k of 100k) with 33 days still to go but I'm wondering if they might be getting trolled as they have a suspicious amount of high level backers. Over half the current count is being funded by 11 out of 666 backers.
Apparently they know one of the 10k backers from earlier Facebook interactions, so at least that much seems to be legit. High pledge trolls are not unheard of on KS, however.

With current games i mean 5-10 years old, no need to be only 2012-13 games, is just i played in the past all that games we already know like baldurs gate, neverwinter, fallout, heroes of might and magic, dungeon keeper, icewind dale, ultima, quest for glory... some of them I tried to re-play again now but it was like lol how i was able to play in the past with that old-fashioned sprites and interfaces? no way, i need new stuff
Well, Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines is less than 10 year old.

Hmm... I really don't know of any recent games like this. Even The Witcher is over 5 years old.

That said, my complaint* wasn't really about how polished the concepts are (they're not, but they won't be used in game, so it's okay), but rather about the stylistical choices for clothing, equipment, and even the new races' look. It seems to take inspiration mostly from other common fantasy artwork, rather than from historical pieces of clothing, and, most importantly, you don't really get the sense that the characters are wearing what they're wearing due to the reasons people do in the real world: practicality, fashion, cultural mores, etc.

That's a really creepy couple. They look like axe murderers out of a B-horror movie.
Actually, someone made a similar comment on another forum and Corey (I think) said that they have a big garden with a lots of room to hide the bodies. Little graveyard humour there...*
* Anyone not getting the reference should go play the QfG series from start to finish right now.

That's pretty weak considering two thirds of forum members are European.
Consider also international shipping. Likely a lot of Europeans chose digital rewards and not a boxed copy.

I'd certainly like to see what else they can come up with. I'm not particularly worried about them changing the combat and game view, because perspective and combat were not what made QfG great for me -- the story and the humour were far more important in that regard.
