    Hurr durr barbarians! Oh I'm so happy now. All stretch goals and talk has only been boring talks about ye standard worn out old d&d **** except some brief talk about souls, which would be interesting if it was explained some more and how it will effect the game. Now I didn't expect it to be as unique as torment but "teasing" us with "classic dungeon exploration" makes me want to cry. Let alone that every stretch goal seems uninspired as it seems content to just give more **** that doesn't mean anything.

     

    Now, I'm not saying the game will be **** or anything. It's impossible to tell. But the hinted at focus from all the information that has come out does not paint a pretty picture. All I really want is just a good RPG with a very good story / world. Not a "build a class and whack an ass" kind of game.

     

    In the end though, the game could still become good. Just because it has stereotypical rpg stuff doesn't mean it can't have an interesting world / content, right? I just wish they'd communicate that somehow instead of talking about more classes, playerhomes, hirelingvilles and boring grind dungeons. I'd just love a "all money will be used to make a better core game" or something.

     

    How do you guys feel about this?

     

    If you dont like the idea or content of the game then clear off coz 55k others do! so stop trolling.

    Bigger Stretchgoal:Enhanced megadungeon! Megadungeon could have levels like in Ultima Underworld or descent to undermounting with the exploration, atmosphere, creatures and factions that make that game (UW) so great (if you have played it you will know what I mean) this would make it a none haque and slash grind to the lower levels.

    and the reward for reaching the bottom? a path to a new area only accessible by completing the dungeon and quests in that dungeon (hey, or this might be an idea for an add on lol, Eternity Underworld!)

     

    Idea for Tier:Access to a short " Prelude " chapter of the game unique for that tier level and above (idk, 6 months in advance of actual full game?) would not have be to long 1-3 hours , I for one would up my pledge for that :)

    I'm with you!!

     

    Like many others, this project gives me hope in the future of beloved cRPGs. When I first found and read Eternity's kickstarter, and started lurking in the forums... how to describe the feeling... I knew I couldn't stand idly by. I have pledged, pledged an extra $8 and will no doubt pledge some more before this thing is over.

     

    For Obsidian!

    Apologies if already answered but..

    Is this an honor system? Or will it be checked after the kickstarter ends to see exactly who has honored their commitment to the Obsidian Order by adding the 8 to their final pledge amount?

     

    Obsidian will be able to see @ the end of KS who has paid the xtra $8 or not, and woe betide the decievers as dlux will be on them like a bat out of hell! (or Obsidian could resind your title in the forum, you will be shamed lol) :bat:

    Or we just ban the personal shields and make an unpersonlized one that all members can use.

    It's enough to stop them from spreading. Avatars are fine, but signatures will get annoying real fast.

    Yeah, I guess. But the shields could also be hidden with a "spoiler".

     

    I'd like to hear what the others have to say... and maybe have a democratic vote.

     

    :excl: No one is selling them or making money, geez, its just a bit of fun and if you dont like them in peoples sigs then block them and get over it. There not obligatory like its not for me to list what i am playing or reading, it makes me Unique which is in the spirit of Rpg's :yucky:

    And i have said on numerouse occasions (after being contacted the moderator) that they need to be reduced to 100 pixles in the sig bar so they dont take up too much room

    Make your own shield, or use one of these (Knight of the lily, Knight of the Bramble and Knight of the Soul of the Obsidian Order)

    We have already had a Knight of the Harp, Scribe,Chicken,Goat,1 and a Knight of the Cube made!

    just a bit of fun

    You can use a shield affiliated to a current Knighthood (i.e. I am:Lich Battlemage of the Obsidian Order and Knight of the Bramble)

    Or you can copy the blank (no middle ring art) template from my photo-bucket site and make your own.

    or contact Lordcrash Obsidian Order's Fallen Knight to Get your own coat of arms/shield!

    The size is ok for Avatar on the Forum but you will need to

    No offence taken batman, my way they make their own, your way , you do all the hard work! lol, oh and btw, i am a lady, only chose Lich Battlemage because i adore the skeleton picture from back in 91 (may even of been from decent to Undermountain i cant remember ) :)
