Even if you still have the bones you can't return them to Urgeat.. Because I still had the bones after I talked to Wirtan. I choose the resolve option, a couple of cruel and finished with the attack option. Left temple, still had the bones in my stash.
Edit: My character would prefer to hear his confession too, before moving on to impale him with his keen sword of righteousness.

The 1.04 (540) patch is now live on Steam. It is currently going through the QA process for GOG and Origin and should be available on those sites in the next day or two.
We will be posting a backer update regarding the patch later today or tomorrow.

According to him he had to exploit on the last battle, because it was so heavily imbalanced. I believe I read in patch 1.05 they will rebalanced the finale fight.

They started shipping now for Europe I think on Friday. If you haven't got an email from Paradox yet I'm sure you will next week. Check your spam folder to be sure.

Just wanted to tell you I'm playing at the same resolution, and I don't have any problems with blurry text. I actually got two displays and I test both of them. Both are 1920x1200 (19:10 native resolution, one is connect via DVI other via DP and both work fine. Have you ruled out eventual problems on your side like using Sub-D connection, monitor drivers, color schemes or overdrive mode?

I'm thankful to the people who not just bought, but invested a lot of money to make this game possible. Especially in times where people already go in full rage mode at the Steam forums for any game that cost more than 5 bucks. Those people spent 10, 20 times the money most would not even spent on a full prices tipple A, quad + title.
If it comes to me, they can write all the **** they want. Because without them there would be no game in first place for other to complain about.

The patch is currently being crunched on by QA. If everything checks out, then you'll probably get an update by end of day tomorrow.

I had the sudden urge to write this little story, that follows below, when I played around with my characters abilities and killed one of horses in the encamped. As result I was suddenly attacked by Calisca and soon the rest of the caravan.
Now with my curiosity triggered, I wondered how far Obsidian went with this RPG. If they had anticipated this totally anti social scenario.
They did, and I am paying tribute to Obsidian by giving this little killing spree, right at the start of the game, some context. Instead just doing usually, evil guy murders everyone senselessly just because he can idiocy.
Fair a warning. English is not my native tongue and I like to place my commas with a shotgun. Could be painful to read, also it turned out to be quite sick.
NEVER AGAIN!
Never again will I allow anyone to have a hold over me. All these years serving on this godforsaken ship as a slave have burned my soul. The cheerful and trustful person I once was is gone. People are evil. I have been been abused, humiliated, spit on, as if I were not a human being, but a thing that can be used and thrown away as it one pleases. NEVER AGAIN!
But I played along. Look at the ground. Didn't resist. Followed willingly orders. Surrendered myself. NEVER AGAIN!
Then I knew, the day would come, where they would drop their guard, and turn their backs on me. And it came! The first one was mess. I was so scared, shaking and sweating. His teeth sank deeply into my hand that, I shoved in my panic into his mouth to stop him from screaming. I had to apply my knife 3 times to his through before I finally cut through his windpipe and artery.
Quickly I freed the other slaves and then we proceeded to cut the rest of the crew. Everyone of them, and as they scream and begged our rage grew. Because they had no right to scream, to beg for mercy, as they never listen to our cries.
NEVER AGAIN.
We set the ship ashore. Everyone is trying to get home, but where should I go? I have no place, no home, nowhere to go. Everyone who I loved died when they took me. Maybe the old colonies? The Free Palatinate of Dyrwood. Free, that is what I want to be.
I'm now traveling with a caravan through Drywood towards the village of Gilded Vale. As much I hate to depend on others, as people are utterly evil, I had no choice if I want make it through these woods, but I will not drop my guard.
I'm feeling suddenly sick. I can hear the others whispering, staring at me when I'm not looking. Did they poison me? Am I betrayed?
This can not be a coincidence. The road blocked by a tree, my sudden sickness. Now the caravan master Odema tells me to go into the woods, to pick berries? This is a setup. They are going to take me. NEVER AGAIN.
Odema sent one of his henchmen ahead to "fetch" water, and now he assigned me an other of his goons to "protect" me picking springberries. Who ever needed protection while picking berries?
I seeing right through him. I will not be fooled. I will pretend to be weaker than I really am. As we walked away from the camp into the woods I see Sparfel standing next to a tree. He is not at the river collecting water as he has been told to do so. This is the final confirmation. It's an ambush! They are going to kill me right now, right here.
I told Calisca I need to relive myself and take a few steeps behind the ruined wall nearby. She seems not to suspect that I figured it all out, as my ruse worked. She must have really thought I was severely weakened, as she turned her back to make me believe she is standing guard. Not going to let this opportunity pass I pushed my rapier from behind right through her. She died with her eyes wide open.
I can tell Sparfel didn't notice a thing. The surprised look in his face when I struck him down, priceless. Who thought foiling an ambush could be so exciting. Now the rest of them.
The caravaneers didn't put up much of a fight, but they would not have gave me mercy. Why should I? Only Odema and his last two henchmen are between me and my freedom. I will make my last stand at the bridge. Forcing them to fight me one by one.
They are all dead. Everyone one of them and this eerie silence suddenly when they spent their last breath. They tried to murder me and they paid the price, but so did I. I'm badly hurt and now there is this sudden wind coming from below, trying to drag me down. Is that one of those Biawacs Odema has talked about? I must find shelter in those ruins...

I found them in my install folder,
Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity
They're to be found in the corresponding folders. Almanac, Ringtones, Soundtrack, Wallpapers etc..If they are not there try the following.
Go to your Steam library and right click on the Pillars of Eternity entry, select properties. Switch to the DLC tab and uncheck every DLC. Then slowly recheck every DLC, one after one. Steam should finally recognize the DLCs and start the download.

Yeah, its definately an oversight. If you talk to Calisca she tells us shes from the Living Lands and Heodan says he is orginally for the Aedyr Empire.

The best cloth map ever, is still the one from my very first computer game. Ultima V. Large, thick, sturdy woven cloth. Though my mother teased me by calling it a rag.

The middle mouse button is great though, nice to see that unlisted command.
It's actually listed on page 12 of the manual chapter "Default Controls" subsection Mouse Controls.

I know this is the first time I've posted here. I backed, and own the game. Haven't had much time to play it yet.
But today I found out that one of the backers created memorials is a anti-trans "joke".

I understand this was created by a backer. But why was something so horrible included in the final game? Could you have not said no and asked for something less transphobic? I know, it's just a joke. As someone who is trans, who backed this game and who was really looking forward to playing it soon, this really has made me angry.
I wasn't sure how to bring this up in a different way. I don't know how people will react to this. But I'm really saddened to see that this game I've been waiting over two years for is being ruined for me by one backer making a stupid "Joke" about trans women being men.
Oh gosh, this bring up memories of trip to Thailand in my youth, that hoped i had forgotten by now.

I personally contributed $3000 to the Kickstarter campaign (don’t worry, I’m crazy), and in return Obsidian’s artists have painted an awesome likeness of my face that is included in-game as a playable portrait for the main character or any custom party member. You'll be able to subject the founder, owner, and head troll of NeoGAF to all sorts of pain and suffering for your pleasure. Seriously, though, use my portrait, even if you’re playing as a girl or an Orlan or an Orlan girl, or I’ll beat the crap out of you at E3. Or just silently shed a tear. Probably just silently shed a tear. Let’s choose the path of peace and love, though, okay?

It works perfectly and I'm using it for almost 8 years, since I had my first dual setup with two 1600x1200 21' monitors.
It runs so flawless that I have added it to my autostart folder and just toggle it on/off via a global hotkeys. Plus it allows you to switch modes to restrain the cursor inside windows borders/ outside windows border (for edge scroll) or lock it down to a screen. Additionally you can create shortcuts to start games with cursor lock activated, and have it disabled if you task switch.

I would love to see our Obsidian guys sit around together and share stories with us fans, in the last hours before release. Maybe have your own Let's play of the first 30 minutes and with a live dev commentary track.

How would Option 2 contribute to this issue? There's no pre 1.0 version that's going to be shipped out if you choose Option 2. What Option 2 does is delay you getting the 1.0 version on disc as well as the other physical goodies for a few weeks. You'd still have the choice of grabbing the digital 1.0 version on release day (Assuming you're not in a crappy internet access situation).
Basically, Obs is giving you the choice of when you're going to get your on-disc 1.0 version. You're not going to get a pre-1.0 version with either option.Oh, completely misunderstood. Thanks for clearing this up.

I am an international backer. Please DO NOT send the items in two separate shipments.
Whatever value you declare for the package, I will pay close to 100% taxes upon. If you send it in two parts, I get to pay taxes twice. So please, just don't.
Both items will take at least a month to get here, and then be held in a customs facility, so in my case all these ideas about sending stuff early are irrelevant (I appreciate the thought, and I can see how it can be cool for others - but PLEASE do not send me two packages).
I would also be interested in knowing what value would be declared for the packages. I am hoping it is the actual "product value", not the value spent on Kickstarter. This is very important for me to know, since the difference could be several hundred dollars in taxes.
Thank-you. Since my two posts before were in review for a while before accepted, when they were approved (cheers, by the way!) they were 'posted' in-place at the time they were made. Meaning, a lot of people didn't get to see my point.
PLEASE address this issue, Obsidian. Marking it as a gift doesn't always work and is technically a false declaration. Customs (in the UK at least) can ignore it if they wish,
I would not worry. With Paradox doing the fulfillment, they will likely dispatch from a warehouse inside the EU. Therefore no customs check or duty fees for that matter.
What I'm worried most with option #2, is that pirates get they hands on the game before it's even released. Spreading it all over torrents sites.
It would be a shame if people who just leech from the work of others, would play the game before the backer even do. Even more since it will be a pre 1.0 version, not yet patched to the finale release day version. Which could possibly contain the one or other severe bug. Those pirates then will based on those bugs, which are fixed in the final 1.0 version, spread bad reviews.
From previous reports we already know, a game that gets leaked/pirated before release will suffer from a big drop in sales. This is something a precious old school RPG in the spirit of Baldur's Gate don't deserve. There are not enough made of those these days, to risk it further development by pirates. After all, I want see a POE2 one day.

I prefer option #1, as I'm planing to install via Steam anyway. Kudos for going the extra mile with the shipping costs.
I would actually not mind to get my disc at a much later date, after we had a couple of updates runs behind us. Of course at home I have 24/7 internet, but when I'm deployed oversea, Internet is often not reliable, fast or even available at all. This are the times when a CD-Rom drive and BG2 Complete on disk are worth a box of booze, and a USB-Key full of nudity. Though thanks to the folks at GOG.com, playing got much easier when forced offline.
Then to have a disk of POE with a stable and bugfree version would be great.

I love D&D but I want Pillars of Eternity to be unique.
If the game was designed with this system and values in mind than there is no reason to change it. No copycat please.
Non combat combat + disengagement attacks from villagers?

Any update on this? Because I have this too now in Gilded Vale where Villagers who are green engage me and perform disengagement attacks on me. Sometimes even combat starts without me attacking anyone or the villager becoming red. When I move away from the villager the combat mode ends again.
