OMG George Ziets yes yes yes! MotB is my favourite RPG of recent memory and the MotB interview with Ziets showed he understood perfectly what makes a plot captivating and how to handle player choice.
I was just about to post this interview, mainly so those not familiar with him might get an idea of why he would be a great addition.

The dialogue of Planescape is the reason it is my favorite game. I love how much we learn about an NPC, and how much more they come alive, just from the descriptive prose. A couple of examples of what I'd love to see more of:
Angyar: This man looks...haunted. His eyes are half-lidded, as if he has had trouble sleeping, and his hair is long and unkempt. His beard is flecked with bits of dead skin and old bits of food. He doesn't seem to notice you as you approach.
And also this, her actions outside of quotes adding so much in my opinion.
Marta: "Hah!" Marta puts her hands on her hips and puffs up indignantly. "Likes you *cared* for yer teeth!"
Brilliant!

- No quest compass. Find directions for quest by asking around, casting spells or Ranger using Tracking.
I kind of like this idea. In a lot of games the compass becomes the focal point, whereas it perhaps should be a process of hunting for information instead. It comes down to an element of realism, I think. When I am looking for my lost car keys there is no little arrow guiding my way, which makes their discovery all the sweeter.

What about the cake?
Cake would be good, too.

The end of the new interview with Tim Cain put a smile on my face. After reading about so many game companies not even considering single-player focus in games anymore, I've been worried about what that might mean for those of us who love those types of games. I am very happy to see that there are publishers out there who understand and respond to the need to keep such games alive.

I can see the engine simply being titled "The Eternity Engine"
Is $4M enough?

Something I've been wondering is:
How much did BGII or IWD cost to make? I understand times are different, as is the economy, as is technology, but I am curious how comparable the budget for those games and P:E are.
