  1. I did it with a mix of level 10+11 party and by the end wanted to pull my hair out.




    Hug the right hand wall from the entrance and move along until the conversation triggers, it should be just before the pillar. This will stop some of the tentacles being able to throw at you.




    The Vithrack can be gotten rid of through dialogue before the fight begins making it considerably easier.

    You need to breathe in some spores then resist the radiant spore and you'll have an option to break the bonds between it and the vithrak.


    Sporelings will all charge at you in a clump from your position on the right hand side making them easy targets for some AOE CC.

    The three closest tentacles will fling rocks at the first person they see while the other two should be juuuust out of range. They target FORT and deal crush damage so try and get Eder closest to them when starting and buff his might/con and crush DR when it starts.

    Radiant spore sits there doing bugger all.



    Take out the sporelings one at a time while keeping them CCd and heal up from the aoe they do on death. Then move onto the tentacles. They can be put to sleep with Call of Slumber and petrified with Gaze of the Adragan and don't have too much HP. Once you have the three closest ones dead wail on the boss till he dies and the other ones die at the same time.

    Alternative strat: after dealing with the sporelings buff everyone's fort as high as you can spam heals and go to to town on the boss and his ~800 HP since the tentacles don't have to die to end the fight.

  3. The Unlabored Blade (the soulbound dagger) is recieved from the quest Iron and Flame in WM2.


    Spoilers for quest


    The Quest is gotten from the Temple to Abydon, formerly Temple to Ondra, in Stalwart village available as soon as you get back to Stalwart at the start of WM2. Requires you to go to the Shrine of Abydon in Crucible Keep then the Shine of Magran at Magran's fork. After the shrine of Magran you fight about 6 flame blights and 2 drakes. Hand the quest in back in Stalwart and any positive outcome will get you the dagger.



    Twin Sting, the soulbound crossbow, is bought from the new shop in Stalwart. No quests or preconditions just 9075 copper. Pretty funny unlock though. Kill 3 backer NPCs with it or 15 regular enemies for the first one.

    I already collected some pretty nice soulbounds - one of them being a two handed war hammer - that's right. But I haven't had the time to unlock them so I will wait a bit before I post them in full detail. 


    But what I found here will be my number one weapon coice for my next Retaliation-Vengeful-Defeat-Crit-Barb (I'm planning to clone this with the stronghold replicator item. Guess I have to take Gallant's Focus in order to be a Paladin light):


    Is the FoD cast by this modified by Pallegina's new talent because if it is can I just say yumyumyum.

  5. Argh! OK - back to Wrath of the Five Suns: I just read that damage is per projectile - and there are five of it. That's not crappy at all! Esp. with 10 DR bypass. Wonder if Penetrating Shot works. You could give her Prestidigitator's Missiles and some Spell Binding items with Minor Missile and a Blunderbuss and make her Mage Killer No. 1.

    Just tested on the wood beetles in Endless Path floor one and yes each missile does benefit from Penetrating shot for a total of 15 DR bypass. http://imgur.com/dMjdqiH


    edit: but yeah Wrath of the five suns is absolutely insane when you get access to it (level 6 so earlyish in act 2) since it can instapop a lot of the squisher mobs like mages at that point of the game.

  6. So bonuses from resting in, say, Caed Nua stack with bonuses from camping with Survival?


    That's rather ... powerful.


    They also stack with other buffs of the same type for example Paladin's Zealous Endurance and the DR bonus for a total of +7DR for each person at survival 7 and are as follows:


    Camping bonuses are chosen on a per character basis from the camping menu based on that character's survival skill. There are 6 different bonuses you can choose from gained from survival 1-6. Survival 7 boosts the effectiveness of the rank 1 bonus, 8 boosts 2 and so on. Bonuses are as follows with boosted in brackets.

    • Rank 1 Damage Reduction - +2DR (+4DR)

    • Rank 2 Heal Multiplier - +15% healing done (+30%)

    • Rank 3 Movement - +1 Move speed (+2)

    • Rank 4 Racial Accuracy Bonus - Choose from Beast/Primordial/Spirit/Vessel/Wilder for +10 accuracy to that group. Possible bug Still only shows +10 for Racial accuracy bonus 2

    • Rank 5 Consumable Duraction - +20% consumable Duration (+40%) Reads ingame as +120/+140 but is only +20/40

    • Rank 6 Damage vs. Flanked - +10% Damage vs flanked (+20%)


    Pallegina's new talents are a bit of a mixed bag.

    The attack speed for allies (Vielo Vidorio available level 2) has a base duration of only 6.0 seconds which limits its a little bit in terms of use cases since you'll get 13.8 seconds per fight if you don't have any overlap with Palegina's base stats.

    Wrath of the five suns on the other hand is freaking insane for when you can get it (level 6 earliest). It's 5 missiles with base 12-18 damage each (13-19 with her base might) at +20 accuracy and 10DR bypass as a 1/encounter ability. It can easily instapop spellcaster type mobs in Act 2 at the start of a fight removing a lot of headaches and if it doesn't you still get the benefits of sworn enemy making your FOD. It is burn damage so it's not as useful vs drakes and whatnot but you still get the benefit ofSworn enemy there so it's not completely dead.
