  1. I know, right? I mean, expecting more than a dialog box "Alpha Protocol has crashed" from the patch is preposterous! I wish I could deliver that kind of "fix" at work... I think he was sarcastic..... You're catching on. Maybe I need to more on to more covert tactics?
  2. That goes without saying. Think of all the moral choices and whatnot.
  3. Bah, you'll never be happy.
  4. The best lawyer game you're going to get is Phoenix Wright, and it's awesome. LA Noire is pretty much that, minus the RPG part.
  5. It's actually not that bad, I think we've only had one or two similar threads. As for me, I'd like something set in the 1920s.
  6. There's a stealth patch out now which might help with your issue(s)...
  7. So you wanted to make subtle insults and get info on the "tea party"? There's always Wikipedia...
  8. There was just an article about how Steam saved Introversion's bacon. Making a profit isn't a problem, but the gains are proportionally too small to interest the giant publishers(I guess that's what you said). Plus you have more of an old style slow trickle of sales(especially with DD) than the front-loaded everyone-buys-it-in-the-first-month deal. Not really a problem for DD, but retailers have to clear stock and shelves to make room for new stuff. The point is that it is a viable business strategy, but not for the kinds of teams most companies have at the moment.
  9. Going back to Gabe Newell's points, it's high time to get into the gameplay-focused budget DD-only games. The graphics aren't really a problem any more, you can make good looking, but not graphics-dependent games with decent art direction(and no, it doesn't have to be kiddy/cartoony). The AAA market is giant money hole that shreds all but the very best marketed/polished games. EDIT: I guess the problem is the lack of mid-level publishers and a general lack of capital
  10. Are you saying that you don't use a command line based editor?
  11. Take it up with Jake Rodkin, he told me.
  12. Who are these people? Well, Telltale for one.
  13. It's 30 gigs of suck. Probably forgot to compress their movies or something along those lines.
  14. A whole bunch of developers are still using command line-based editors AFAIK. They are probably in-house engines, though.
  15. Don't forget your abacus
  16. Welcome to the future then The Force Unleashed Steam download is ~30GB
  17. No new Source for next 10 years confirmed!
  18. They changed a while ago, mang.
  19. It was way worse in AP than any other UE3 game that I've played. Especially on the PC.
  20. Well, lucky you then.
  21. That doesn't mean there aren't any bugs. Did you miss the no enemies on level reload or the horrendous 3 second texture pop-in lag?
  22. You don't "need" to spend any specific amount of time to play an MMO. There are plenty of people who just play a couple of hours a week. The bottom line here is self control.
  23. That's not exactly high praise...
  24. I'll manage, somehow...
