  1. Agreed, some indicator would be nice.   But I have only had swarms of ants constantly; never had any other type of bug attack.   killed 22 ants (outside of base defense) and yet got hit about 7 times so far; all ants.    I have killed 40+ orb weavers and gotten both messages that said they were getting annoyed, ect; but no spiders.

  2. This happens a lot with palisades when you build them slightly above the ground to make it even with the one beside it.  Its just a crack at the bottom, but had weevils and ants able to get through even though its way too small for them.   I sink the palisades into ground so there is no crack at the bottom and this never happens, but now got ragged looking palisades.  You cannot stack palisades either so just have to live with it.  Not sure if you can stack palisades onto a stem wall, but maybe that is the way to do it.

  3. I for one, always build tall bases so I can place ziplines at the top.   There are many ways to go up in the base: Grass Stairs, Ramps (roofs), ladders, Bounce webs, acorn stairs.

As I tend to build further up in the base upwards of 9-10 floors, it gets frustrating to bring the pallets all the way back down the stairs.  I usually just start putting platforms on the outside of the tower and fall onto them, but those are not very aesthetic.

We need slides that you can make out of stems/grass; straight and curved pieces.      Plus I think they could be quite fun and something to put before ziplines but early game.

Now if we had pools, could put one at the bottom...

why give us everything just because?

Right okay.  Like Sulfuras in vanilla WoW.  extremely difficult to obtain, and was the ultimate end game item until Burning Crusade 3 years later.

you're "Better answer" i could go with.  making mint a very hard resource to discover and obtain would better than a respawn in the mint box.

Or better yet, just a quest reward.   Finish quest and get a mint.

There really is just too many ants I seriously slayed for 45 minutes clearing this room out. Got my ant mutation but Broke my spider armor my spider fang dagger and half of my mint mallet in one fight

I know this is not a solution but the following will work to keep ants numbers down.

Place pile of mushrooms outside opening of Ant hill.    Change distance based on preference.

Make 1 circle of needle traps around mushrooms.

Make 2nd circle of needle traps around first circle.

Make 3rd circle of needle traps around second circle.

Mushrooms will draw in weevils which will draw in Ants.  All will die.

Of course, you can just put Lure Trap instead.. But this way you get plenty of weevils to hang on your jerky rack.

  6. Side quests in the game are simple currently.

A good feature would be to have 3 part side quests with small stories.

    Example:

Background Story:   Numerous stink bugs have been hampering research efforts around the lab.

Quest 1:   Build a Gas Mask (XP Gained after finishing quest)

Quest 2:  Enter Haze area and collect toxic gas (XP Gained after getting 3 balls of gas)

Quest 3: Build Gas trap to eliminate stink bug nest (XP Gained after stink bugs die)

Finished! (Story reward of a sticker for base)
