  1. LoL Arnold as consistent as ever.   He went from a tough guy Nixon/Reagan Republican to a cliche Hollywood liberal Democrat almost overnight.

Here's a transcript from Putin's latest statement in any case:

    Spoiler
    Quote

The operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine is developing successfully, strictly in accordance with plans.

The tactics of the Russian Defense Ministry in Ukraine have fully justified themselves, everything is being done to avoid civilian casualties. Before the operation began, Moscow offered Kiev to withdraw troops from Donbass, but they refused. All the tasks set will certainly be solved.

If Russian troops had stopped at the borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, this would not have been the final solution, it would not have removed the threat to Russia. Russia is not going to occupy Ukraine. There was no task to storm major cities.

The strike on Donetsk on March 14 is a bloody terrorist attack. Russia will not allow Ukraine to remain a springboard for anti-Russian actions. The whole planet has to pay for the ambitions of the West, the myth of the “golden billion” is collapsing. The West is trying to convince its citizens that their difficulties are the result of Russia’s actions, but this is a lie.

Sanctions against the Russian Federation are hitting the Europeans and Americans themselves, “it is not necessary to shift from a sick head to a healthy one.” The US and the EU actually defaulted on their obligations to Russia, freezing its reserves – now everyone knows that the state’s reserves can simply be stolen. Russia – unlike Western countries – will respect the right of ownership. Arrests of foreign assets of the Russian Federation and business – a lesson for Russian entrepreneurs, there is nothing more reliable than investments at home We now know who cowardly betrayed their partners and failed to fulfill their obligations to employees.

Trying to “cancel” Russia, the West has torn off all the masks of decency. I am sure that after blocking the accounts of the Russian Federation in the West, many countries will convert their reserves into goods, which will increase the deficit. It is obvious that the current events draw a line under the global dominance of Western countries both in politics and in the economy. Moreover, they themselves question the economic model that has been imposed on developing countries in recent decades. Yes, in general, the whole world.

I emphasize that the sanctions obsession of the United States and its supporters is not shared by countries where more than half of the world’s population lives. It is these states that represent the fastest growing, most promising part of the global economy, including Russia.

The “empire of lies” of the West is powerless against truth and justice, Russia will continue to bring its position to the whole world The West relies on the fifth column, national traitors, such mentally are there, in the West, and not in Russia. The West is trying to split our society, speculating on combat losses, on the consequences of sanctions.  The people will be able to distinguish patriots from scum and traitors and just spit them out like a fly that accidentally flew in. The natural self-purification of society will strengthen our country

@kanisatha I have heard that Russia has only committed 10% of its forces in Ukraine.  I mean they are basically a military economy and have been arming up for several years now so I kind of have a hard time believing that they're slowing down in any way shape or form but if that makes white Westerners sleep better at night....

  2. This hot girl I used to work with contacted me recently, saying she's a single mom and all that and seeing what I'm up to.

Yeah I got the hint, she's interested but I don't know if I'm ready for that kind commitment crap yet and change to my routine.  I'm a cumbersome war machine and not quick to change the channel.

She's definitely not a stupid Western liberal so that's something, doubt she's really into politics though.

Also, DuckDuckGo can screw off.  Used to think it was the best browser but now with all the latest menstruation over Ukraine it the search results are dog****.  Trying out Vivaldi but it doesn't seem much different so far...

''Losing lives for the benefit of arming Nazi's for the sake of NATO is bound to end in defeat.''

can someone translate this to me please?

Sure.  Since 1945 the American government and their European lacky's have been pro actively arming far right groups across the USSR to beat the Soviets back.  1945-1953 was the peak period of this especially in Ukraine. This current war is just a modern example of prior post war conduct by the U.S.A.

It's not really complicated.  A grade schooler could spell it out for you.  People just don't wanna listen to both sides of the story.  The Soviets weren't perfect by any stretch but all parties are guilty of bad conduct.

  4. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2022/03/15/ukraine-war-latest-news-russia-putin-zelensky-kyiv-peace-talks/

I think a peace could be reached soon.  Losing lives for the benefit of arming Nazi's for the sake of NATO is bound to end in defeat.  Accepting Ukraine as a neutral buffer state isn't a bad deal, as you can do business with both "Worlds" (People still like to divide the world like a cold war conservative unfortunately).

I am wondering, who invited Putin to Russia in his last speech? Hmm, Looks like Syrian militants to me. 🤔 And I am also wondering who is the leader of Wagner Group, which got decorated by Putin himself in 2016 in Kremlin? Hmm, looks like Dmitry Utkin, who openly admires nazism 🤔

Quick search shows Utkin appears to be distancing himself from his dark past, and so are lots of Russians who formerly fostered far right beliefs and are now warming up to their more communistic past.

Ironically, it's Western liberals who appear to be distancing themselves from their more pro-socialist past and are now warming up to fascism, just check this:

  6. Looks like RT has found a home on Rumble, and also Odysee, which are both alternatives to Youtube.

Good.  When monopoly tech starts acting like the dictators they claim to hate, that's when other platforms start gaining traction and get competitive.

I don't know about Odysee but Rumble seems to be a haven for right wing views, as their Twitter page has a lot of comments about Youtube banning pro-Trump videos and stuff and welcoming them on their platform.  Sort of like Parler I guess which is like Twitter for banned Trumpers and other rightists.  Twitter hasn't mass banned the far left yet but I'm sure they'll get there at some point!

EDIT:  Biden outright toppling RT America is a clear violation of the 1st amendment though, and liberal Democrats don't seem to care about that.

I can give you an example of how dangerous this type of propaganda is, when the invasion started you use to believe that Ukraine was a Nazi country and it was justified. Ask yourself " why did I use to think that " ?

...Because East Europe (And admittedly some parts of Russia) has been a hotbed for neo Nazi's since like 1991 or something?  I mean sure Putin is no Lenin or Stalin but at least he's aligning himself against fascism and the Azov battalion and all these other white nationalists and terrorists from the Middle East who want to flock to Ukraine to fight the Muscovites.

Free speech is about government preventing people expressing their opinions, which includes not publishing messages from the government. So in this case freedom of speech is on side of YT and against RT, which is government owned media and government that owns it prevents people expressing their opinions in multitude of ways.

Nice mental gymnastics, RT had a large following outside of Russia and censorship of peoples preferred information goes against all this liberty and freedom crap people claim to love so much.  Would be the same as censoring PBS which is official US government propaganda crap.

But hey, Let the world around us, just fall apart, baby we can make it if we're heart to heart.

  9. RT has been completely nuked from Youtube.  Can't have people consuming to wrong information now, can we? ;)

All you "Give me liberty give me death!1" people should be outraged.  Even though YT is a private company, free speech isn't in the agenda of large corporations and are fully in compliance with government agencies.  RT is just less hypocritical and doesn't hide the fact that it's government news.

Iraq places 5th so they definitely make any list- they're probably 4th above Canada in actual production. Barzani smuggles a lot out via Turkey that doesn't appear in official figures.

And Russia's Lukoil has just resumed oil production in West Qurna 2, Iraq at 400,000 BPD.

Told you folks Russians are resourceful and clever and can find partners elsewhere. :)

  11. DuckDuckGo, my browser of choice, is also doing some cracking.  Twitter and Youtube used to be safe spaces for Western communists but even they are nuking accounts now and being forced to shift over to Telegram.

Can't wait until they erect the Great Western Firewall, 99x more effective than the Chinese government could have dreamed of.

  12. I will give @kanisatha credit on the fact that most people in the "Russian circle" were shocked that he actually did invade, but he's wrong on Russians abandoning him and most Russians including the armed forces are willing to go through with it, whatever potential short term consequences.

As they say in China, "crisis" also means opportunity, if this invasion does in fact result in bleeding "Putinism" out, Russia has a golden opportunity to bring itself closer to China and aid Russia in economic recovery whilst also respecting Russian sovereignty.  41% of the worlds population which constitutes of Western skeptics can assist Russia should she find herself bottomed out, as Russians would rather go to China than repeat the 1990's when the West attempted economic "shock therapy" that resulted in mass looting of the Russian economy with little gain for the average citizen.

This is all assuming the War in Ukraine's end result will be a Russian defeat of course, which is not even a definite.

Yes the US has been the largest producer of oil for years, thats another reason why its silly when people go on about " The US only invades countries that have oil " because thats patently untrue

Back in 2003 Saudis were the oil chiefs (fun fact Russia also produced more crude oil back then) and it wasn't until 2018 or so when U.S. took that slot so it does make sense from an imperialist governments perspective to secure oil in Iraq for the benefit of empire.

I just haven't been keeping up is all.

Funny how Iraq oil production barely even makes the lists nowadays, reinforcing the theory that the invasion was a massive waste of time, resources, effort, and significantly hurt U.S. standing in the world for a very long time.

Hopefully they stick to this commitment because then the Russian invasion will have less global economic impact around this commodity

The shortage of Russian gas mostly affects Europe which accounted for 40-50% of their supply, the U.S. only imported 5-8% Russian gas prior to invasion and has now cut off completely.  Gas prices are volatile though so if you cut off the 3rd largest supplier it can cause some short term headaches and unknown long term consequences.

    https://www.investopedia.com/investing/worlds-top-oil-producers/

(I honestly had no idea that U.S. took top position on oil supplier in the world, I was always under the assumption that they were Saudi Arabs beeyatch).

It's a typical tactic. Make no actual arguments, but paint anyone with an opinion that disagrees with the party line as a commie subversive Russian apologist. Note that he previously labelled Prof. Mearsheimer as one, too.

Putins government isn't even communist.  He spent half his pre invasion speech demonizing Lenin.  Not sure why liberals have it drilled into their brains that United Russia = Communist Party of Russian Federation or USSR.  It's mind boggling and kinda reeks of racist Euro-centrism to suggest it.

Mearsheimer is just an ultra realist who happened to prophesize exactly what happened (As opposed to most academics who utterly suck at predicting the future), and is ultimately aligned with liberal democracy, he actually has appeared recently.

Because that’s not the end of the matter. Because they think ahead. If you listen to Russia’s officials and read their ideological manifestos, if you read people who interpret Russian foreign policy decision makers in the Kremlin — they see these apocalyptic events coming. They see the world changing to the core. They see that we live in the new world and Russia needs to find its place otherwise it will be eaten by these predators, by China or the US. They’re reasoning along the lines of “we need to act now, it’s now or never, there is time and it will either be glorious or we perish.” They also hope that they will join China in a sort of alliance. And they already need to mark their territory. The logic is: “There’s seven bad years ahead, but then we’ll have our hundred years of empire.” This is the frame of mind, if you read closely what the Russians are saying.

Interesting insight on the Russian mindset.  "Doom and Gloom and what do we do about it and how do we prepare for it?"  Seems to be the gist.

Wow you really are angry and confused, I get it your side has been proven to be the bigger liars and warmongers than the US but dont blame the rest of us

He's right though but for different reasons, it's more probable that the U.S. would fight some kind of fancy new "retooled" land war on U.S. soil due to political polarization rather than against the evil Bear here or there.  Not to mention a direct engagement with Russia means, uh, you know, nuclear annihilation.  Again short attention spans in the West, nothing has changed since 1945 in regards to WWIII, it means aArmageddon.

  18. And so it begins.  I can see it already:  Putin steps down in 2024, the war is a distant memory at that point (Westerners have the attention span of a half stunned gnat), Zyuganov is elected and the USSR 2.0 is established.  KPRF admires China's growth and wants to emulate it but with Russian characteristics.
