  1. I played the original POE on XB1 and enjoyed it overall. I didn't like the real-time combat.

I have heard that POE2 is a better game in nearly every respect and does include the option to play with turn-based combat. I really like the sound of that.

I am a little hesitant to buy based on what I have heard about the XB1 and PS4 versions. I've heard about long load times, but I have a Samsung SSD, so I'm not worried about that. However, I've heard several people complaining about crashing issues, which does concern me. How bad/frequent is the crashing, particularly on XB1?

I want to buy POE2, but I want to know if I should wait or buy now. Thanks in advance for any feedback I get.

  2. Let me start by saying that I am loving TOW so far and this is by no means a deal breaker for me.

Having said that, it is driving me CRAZY that every time I talk to someone I pull out my currently equipped weapon and shove it in their face every single time I press the interact button (X on Xbox).

This is driving me absolutely CRAZY!

PLEASE, Obsidian, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, PLEASE fix this immersion breaking oversight! The fix is so simple! Please just give us the option of having to hold the interact/reload button to holster/un-holster instead of just tapping it. That would fix the problem COMPLETELY!

    Thanks in advance!

So far, TOW has an 86% metascore, which is outstanding considering it's an old-school RPG with a limited budget and it's not a sequel of an existing IP.

For reference, Fallout: New Vegas had a metascore of 84%.

TOW is turning out better than I had hoped. My body is ready. The hype is real.

  4. I can appreciate the OP's distaste with a lack of 4K support on the PS4 Pro.

However, thus is the nature of the industry. MS now owns Obsidian.

I remember not so long ago when it was announced that only the PS4 would receive the Survival Mode for Spec Ops in the upcoming COD Modern Warfare. There was a lot of backlash to that decision. But that was the deal Activision made with Sony.

I always play the hero, I just cant help myself. The lone outlier in my gaming was KOTOR, where I played a Sith and chose the DS option 100% of the time regardless of reward or consequence.

Couldn't agree more. I've always liked the Sith over the Jedi in SW.

If you really analyze it, the Jedi were closed-minded arrogant pricks that had a hierarchy fetish that worshipped the state.

The Sith embraced passion, creativity, freedom, and individuality. Did those qualities lead to bad outcomes? Sure, but the Jedi weren't any better. The Jedi were hypocrites that chose to hide the fact that a full-blown Sith lord was able to manipulate them and the whole damn Republic without them noticing.

Okay, I'm done with my rant.

The game looks artistically very busy and vibrant, overcharged even, but I can't help that it also looks very lifeless and static, even staged. All that colourful and confined emptiness to run through with an occasional predictable fight sequence or dialog. No interactivity or things happening at a distance, nothing. All just set there at steady intervals waiting for the player to come about to trigger it. Perhaps it's just Monarch (or what ever the planet in the video is called) or WIP thing, but it looks... barren, boring and claustrophobic.

I too am a bit concerned by this. Hopefully this changes before release.
