OK, it turns out it was creating .tga files in the game directory. I found a program to view them now... so I'm good. Thanks for the help.
-
Well, that only made me more confused as I have no idea what changing the swkotor.ini file has to do with taking screen shots...
Is there a line I'm supposed to add to that file? I've already set up having full control of that directory, so changing the file isn't a problem.
-
Hrm, I don't use any program at all, just the print screen button and paste. It was working. It still works in other programs, just not in K2 anymore.

Lately when I've been trying to take screen shots in game, all I get is a black box. I was able to take screen shots successfully as recently as last week. Anyone know what might be causing this?
If it helps, I'm running with Vista on a laptop with the following stats:
Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB 2M L2 Cache)
3GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm
128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M G

Wouldn't that be a hutt? Didn't Revan even say something about being a hutt in disguise??
Suddenly it all makes sense!

I saw Iron Man and Speed Racer this weekend.
Iron Man was a wonderful movie that anyone could enjoy and I will probably go see again.
I adored Speed Racer. I loved the cartoon as a very young child and the movie managed to capture all the coolness and magic that the cartoon was in my five year old mind. I will definitely be seeing it again and buying the DVD.

I'd watch Hugh Jackman do just about anything... and we know he's good at the whole "forgotten / rediscovering his past" thing...
Babydol's right about Carth's voice, though. I remember swooning when playing Republic Commando, too.
However, that being said, I think I could get over it if it was done well...
And having seen Iron Man and Speed Racer this weekend, I actually have a little faith that Hollywood can get it right sometimes...
Robert Downey, Jr was highly impressive as Tony Stark, I must say. I wouldn't mind seeing him playing Revan either, even if he is a little old for it.

Kreia isn't a great character in the sense of "Oh, man, I just love her and want me with her every second," but rather because of the incredible depth she brings to the game. For the most part she is incredibly wise, but the developers also gave her gaping flaws so that she could not be seen as an ultimate authority but rather a voice that questioned everything, but needed to be questioned herself.
That's why Kreia's great, because she makes you think. I can't stand her as a person, but as a character she is awesome.

Lol, no, Brittany picked Patrick Dempsey, I'd agree that I don't really get him... but her statement put Jimmy in my head (again) so I had to post it...
No, he wouldn't have Nicky's voice... I really wouldn't mind Nicky in the role, but he's not quite got the look of the rogueish scoundrel somehow... Besides, even Nicky doesn't sound like Atton most of the time.
Live action KOTOR would be very hard to get right... and you're probably right, it would *never* live up to all our expectations... but at the same time, I'd love to see it. I'd just like to see if anyone *could* make a decent movie or mini-series out of it...
-
No, I think he was trying to say that "KOTOR 3 in Development" is the one thing he really wants out of K3...
-
Christian Bale would be awesome! He's got that whole light side / dark side thing down really well.
I can't see Bastila falling for Woody Allen though... no matter how powerful he was... :D
I'd love to see Kevin Spacey as Malak... :D

How about Revan or the Exile?
I think I'd love to see Gwynneth Paltrow play the Exile... she seems to resonate that strong, capable female aura and still stay incredibly cute...
No idea who would play a good Revan though... it would be a very tough role to pull off.
-
Ugh, I hate the speed buffs... they make my screen blurry...
-
...play the KOTOR characters in a live action adaptation?
Ok, I'm sure there are other posts like this somewhere, but Brittany's statement
I've always thought that Patrick Dempsey (McDreamy on Grey's Anatomy) would play an amazing Carth if they ever did a movive...makes me want to ask again... especially since this last week or so I've been completely fixated on seeing this lovely young man play Atton
(James Marsden)
Actually, though, I think he's one of the few people that could pull Mical off successfully as well (or Carth for that matter)... so either way would be cool...
Of course, a lot of my current fixation on Jimmy is due to the fact that I went to Jr High with him... and let me tell you, he was just as adorable then, too.
*sigh*
Anyhow, thoughts?

Don't forget Atton!

I have to load both of those up regularly... yum!

Actually, I think Bao's voice makes me think that he's so smart that his mind works much faster than his mouth and he gets distracted before the next word comes out and he has to backtrack to finish speaking the thought...
But whatever it is, it's damn sezzy.
-
Bao may be quiet, but he has tons of personality. Much moreso than Mical, anyhow, who I see as the accountant of the group...
-
Absolutely, Bao is incredible. That physique, that voice, he's awesome, but you don't get to romance him at all. It's not even cut or anything (that I'm aware of) it's just not there.
And as we've all discussed before, Disciple falls waaaaay short on the romanceable category... he's just too young and naive to be attractive in any way other than a "ooohh, let's see if we can corrupt him" kind of way...
-
IF the Exile had even been allowed to catch anybody, which is what this vid was all about. SW Kotor 2 Romances.
From your link:
Playing as a female will give the the option of three buff, charming guys.Did this guy play the same game I did?
-
My kids and I have really been looking forward to The Force Unleased since we first heard about it after getting our Wii last year. I have no doubt that it won't have any of the replayability of KOTOR for me, but I know my son will just adore it. Especially the dueling part for Wii.
It's the first game I've ever considered pre-ordering, really... of course, I won't even have to consider that option for whenever they get around to making / releasing K3... I'll have to schedule that week off work... :D
-
They were in the room just behind Sion... the one you didn't go in... yeah, that's it...
Shush now, are you *trying* to cause trouble?
-
Actually, I think y'all are right about the Guardian comment... that's probably part of why I don't like Handmaiden... she's a little too butch for my tastes...
What kind of character should I make?

While I have to agree that Disciple sucks, that doesn't mean you shouldn't play female. I personally feel the whole story works better that way... I found it much less intriguing on my male playthroughs.
That being said... there is no way you can experience everything in this game on one play through... so... pick whatever looks most interesting and then be sure to play again with other options.
Being a female guardian, I think you get extra dialogue options with Kavar, but other than that I don't think it much matters what class you pick... like Xard says, the game is easy.
