I just got quotes back for remodeling our bathroom. They range from $20,000 to $27,000. This for a 7.5" x 4.5" with mid range materials. I thinking nobody wants to do the job so they quote high. I going to have rethink what to do. I'm handy and the tile work would be no
problem but all the other stuff i just know enough to get myself in trouble.

Due to an upcoming surgery I need to move my computer from my basement to an upstairs family room (an addition). My home network consist of a total of 4 computers (including my computer and a spare gaming computer and 2 printers in the basement (one moving to the upstairs family room). The family room as one ethernet cable going to it now for my son computer which is staying there. I also have television hard wired to my main tv plus one for the basement. My network now consist of cable (Charter) coming into modem then to a four port wireless router in the basement. Wireless router connects are: My main gaming computer, spare gaming computer, and printer with the 4th connection goes upstairs to a 4 port switch. The switch has connections to my wife computer, 1 television upstairs and connection for basement tv and printer (on spitter) and the familyroom. I recently received a 16 port (TL-SG1016) switch from a friend. My wiring is a mixture of cat5e and cat6. I looking for suggestions on setup and if it worth to upgrade the wiring to cat6a or cat7. I am sorry for the long post but i wanted to give a clear picture of my current setup.

Hang in there red. My youngest son was diagnosed with semilobar holoprosencephaly at age 2. Over the years he has chosen not to speak. He 25 now and he communicates with a talking program on his Ipad when he wants to. We also use the two finger method for yes and no questions. It not easy but keep at it. The more you can interact with him will help in the long run. Hopefully you will be able to get all the help he needs.

I abstained from Black Friday, as we aren't doing any big gifts. We are going to Disneyland in February so I told everyone to keep it simple this year. Although I am heading out to a brewery to get a freshly made keg later this afternoon.
We're going to Disney World in February. My oldest son works there and got us free tickets and 60% off our room. Could not pass up the good deal.

Damn maybe I should bump up my RAM to 2666Mhz, but then I will lose my adaptive voltage (curse intel and their lack of giving a ****).
@CAIN Another question to ask yourself is how quiet do you want your PC to be. The stock cooler will be very noisy when it spins up and not all GPU coolers are made equal, same goes for cases.S
My current PC is can get really loud when I push it. I can take some noise but the quieter the better. I have been reading a lot of reviews of cases and it looks
like Antec, Coolmaster, NZXT, plus a few other have gotten good reviews. This is all been very helpful. Thanks guys.

It depends on your needs. If you're not doing professional image/video editing, I would say 16GB is already way overkill, but good futureproofing. 32GB is just utterly ridiculous unless you have specific needs.
I work as a graphic artist but seldom do any serious work from home. Mainly used to play games. I will take your advice and stick with 16GB and save some money.

I was think of a 600w to 800w power supply. I am looking for a case with good airflow and easy to work on. I am pretty open about about the look of the case or color. I was
thinking anywhere between $75 to $125. Will be playing current games (Fallout 4, POE, all the new or semi new RPGs) on it. Right now I have old Dell T3400 playing everything
on low if they play at all. Thanks

I am planning my first build. I have always either upgraded an existing computer or bought stock. I have a budget $1000-$1250 (US). I decided on a Intel i5-6500, 16 gigs of ram, ssd (OS), 1TB hard drive,and a decent power supply. I cannot decide on a case or video card. Any thing from a plain box or a few leds. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Whelp, applied and took the exam for the US Post Office as a "Rural Mail carrier".
Guess a lot of "old" companies are going "Oh crap, all the old farts are retiring, we need new people!"
Also I'm working a 52ish hour work week right now.
If you have any questions about Rural Mail carriers both my wife and daughter are ones. My wife is full-time and has 15 years in and my daughter is part-time for the last two years.
Its a good job if you can stand all the other workers.

As an American who has also only heard it (from what I can remember) from the WoT books...I don't think so. It sounds like it could be British...or maybe deep South American? Not sure!
I heard of a lot while growing up in the 60's. By the late 80's it was disappearing. I hear it from the oldtimers like me.

I was collecting all my music from various computers and devices and was overwhelmed my the amount of duplicates and missing info on songs

I had the same thing happen with my Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS Platinum after I did a clean system install. After updating to the most current driver
it just went crazy. I rollback to an older driver and hadn't had a problem since. Hope this helps.

Hold down option then press g. It a shortcut that used by most Mac program. It works on my G5 all my graphics programs at work.

This is my 13 month of not smoking after a 38 year habit. I still have cravings but the choice of smoking and dying in 5 years or so or not
smoking and living longer was a easy one. Plus I feel a lot better.

I saw the "The Day the Earth Stood Still" last night. I give it a 6 out of 10. The movie lack any kind of energy or supense.
Remakes of classics are hard to get right, I was really hoping they had pulled this one off.
